Let me tell you one thing, if that website is Russian or made by Russians, red flags should be raised immediately. They are one of the biggest scam artists in bitcoin mining if your friends website is one like them. Best is to keep your BTC in your wallet, and wait for it in long term, you will be happy.

always search the investment site's name on google and try to find some reviews about their service. you might find some topic about their scam which makes your job easier.

other than that you should try and find if they really have a business to use the investment in and be able to pay you profit or is it just Ponzi.

A friend recommended me one, and it's seems sketchy.

Does anyone have any previous experiences with these "BTC Investment sites"?
I have, and most of them turned to be a scam, be careful when dealing with BTC as their payment are irreversible and you might lost your coins that way
Be a smart user and determine what's real and what not
If it's too good to be true then it's a scam
Also they only legit way to invest is to just through trading AFAIK

Almost every website calling itself a "investment site" is suspect.

Do a good search here in the forum, look into badbitcoin.org, then you'll see how much "invest men" are using this word. You'll be surprised, there are thousand with every behavior and faces you can imagine... be careful.

Bitcoins investiment sites are most Ponzi or HYIP. Just someone trying to steal your money offering high investiment returns. Just waste of money and time. There is some "trusted" investiments but the profit is very low, better to keep your money in your pocket and use it.

Would you mind sharing what trusted investment sites you're talking about? Because afaik there is nothing worth trusting right now and the ones pretending to be trustful by giving small returns are in for a long con.

Does your friend happen to operate one of the sites he recommended to you? Bitcoin and investment are two words that do not belong together. Full stop.

99% of investments sites are simpliest HYIPs which earlier or later turns into SCAM. I only can advise to avoid investment sites if you don't want lose money.

Your friend seems to be quite an asshole for recommending you a scheme that will rip you off in short period of time  Grin

This. Be very careful where you invest your money and trust no-one but your own analysis.

In 2016 there is no such thing called "legit" investment.

All are more or less ponzi schemes. You are basically farming your btc and getting returns from new members who tries to deposit there. And once upon a time it vanishes into the thin air.... Poof!

If you are referring to the investments wheretey are offering huge returns for your investment like they will double it or something then don't even try putting your coins in it. Here is the section dedicate for such kimd of investments: Investor-based Games
You can clearly say how these scheme works ad you can read through every thread in there and you will see the same patterns.  Wink

I'm new to this forum so thanks a lot Smiley

Seem like you are talking about the ponzis and hyips that are currently popping on the web every now and then. They are quite popular really, regardless of it's scheme where they will eventually run with the coins that people invested on them
My suggestion is stay away from them. You will hardly see any legit investmwnts on the internet.

Yes, a lot of  ad experiences in investing sites, expeciqlly the ones offering high rewards. I would only suggest to try investing in some high trusted long lasting bitcoin casino. Only invest what you can afford to lose
