A flat screen Tv haven't checked out which one yet and whatever catches my eye
Doorbusters are almost always crappily made, that's why they are cheap.
So just watch out.
After working at a couple "high-end" factories, I can confidently say EVERYTHING is crappily-made, and all labels, like "food-grade," are utterly meaningless. Don't trust ANYTHING any manufacturer (or paid "third party") claims. You may as well go with whatever's cheapest unless you've experienced a particular company's real returns policy and can factor its value in.

Bought an Asus 15.6-inch 1.8GHz Intel i7 processor for ~$650...wat a bargain
Why did you get it from?
I was thinking of looking at overstock web site for some cheap xmas presents, im sure they still accept bitcoin.

Overstock is a good site that I wasn't aware of, but recently learned about. I bought it from Groupon! Haha, not sure if it's still available anymore...it shipped from CT, USA

I'm going to sleep all the damn Friday

Honestly that's the best choice, come December you need to have all your Christmas shopping done and that way you can just relax for the Christmas week, I did that once and it was fantastic, just a question of making sure you do it each year Tongue

I'm adopting this intent.

Still in bed

I just negotiated being able to get a new PC for Christmas HURRAY!

I forgot how utterly evil Steam sales are when it's Black Friday and Christmas -_-

STOP TEMPTING ME! OH FOR FUCKS SAKE EVEN EA ARE DOING IT!

OH NO THEY HAVE TITANFALL FOR £7.49! AHHHHHHHH!!

have some self control and still living with your parents huh? Wink

lol *facepalm* I'm not as bad as some people at least, I'm basically considering the PC a loan because it's pricey, but I did make it as cheap as I could components wise, also I've been carefully managing my money so far, they haven't actually had to pay nearly as much as they would normally have considering they saved up for me to go to university so they've got a lot more more money than they normally would have. It's a good thing I studied economics otherwise they'd be a lot worse off, I keep telling them to try and prepare for the crash because they think that their pensions will save them ( lol! We all know how that works out with hyperinflation don't we? ) so I've decided I'm giving my dad at least some Bitcoin for Christmas.

As for my own situation, I just pretty much need to catch a break in ONE of the projects I'm working on or get lucky with speculation and I'm set really but that all depends on how next year goes, but yeah, powerful PC good, steam and origin sales bad >_< looking to get off the parent state as soon as possible Cheesy

By the way, what do you think of this setup? I'm adding my ATI Radeon 6970 I already have to it.

RAM: 8GB
Processor: AMD FX 8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor 4.00GHz Piledriver Socket AM3+
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 6970

Cheesy should finally be able to run shit now! And do lots of modelling etc. to boot!

Canadian retailers are sort of buying into the Black Friday hype, but they're still saving their best deals for Boxing Day. I won't be bothered to shop on either day. I can't stand waiting in line on a regular day, never mind the madness that goes on, on those days.

Doubt I'd regret it, haha. My dad, brother, and mom have all had Lenovos; I was the only one who hasn't had one because I (like a dumbass) wanted to stick with Dell. HPs are decent too, from what I've heard; not sure about the gaming experience though. The battery life is decent, isn't it?

About HP: nope
Battery is very common, 6 cels, and in 1 year it starts "to die", like, 20 minutes using and the battery is at 50%.

Macs aren't really my ideal choice for gaming. The battery life is unarguably the best though.

I want a new laptop...which one would you guys recommend?

acer v3 572g

What's good about that specific one? How's the battery life?

you should have a budget in terms of how much are you willing to spend. If you tends to surf the web often and nothing else, then buy chrome book (~$199 and under)

Budget ~$1000, but it'd have to be worth it. I want one that can game (Heroes of Newerth, for example), but have decent battery life, so I can take it to class and still take notes. Extremely portable, so not one of the heavyweight ones.

Do have any specific brand you like?

Lenovo is one I was recommended. Definitely staying away from Dell; customer service sucks and the battery life is not at all impressive

Do not go by what other people have said b/c if you do you are going to regret it. Personally, I owned few HP laptops/desktop and I rarely had problems with it.

There are kind of many choices.
Find an online store you plan to go to (such as Walmart) and post the options here.

It's kinda hard to have money at the end of the month, so I'm not going to spend too much.

For clothes you probably should wait till end of season sales. Black Friday is only a good deal for electronics imo.
