Interesting.  What type of cloud mining?

I don't want to advertise, but at the moment I'm trying dualmine.
I don't know if it works, I'm keeping conservative about it, i hope it works.
Obviously we all know that they too must earn it, so I am always very careful and critical in evaluating.
Dual mining makes sense only if you have free electricity, every single of dual mining coins I knew aren't profitable anymore, at the moment I'm mining Monero with my AMD RYZEN CPUs, the hashrates are high enough, better then my gtx1080

$VRSC as it has the best profit ration I found for my Ryzen CPU, also it has a great future since the developers are top notch.!

If you are a GPU miner, have a look at Ravencoin (RVN). Its profitability is much better since they changed algo to Kawpow (ProgPoW variant) 9 days ago. Good option for all those 3GB GPUs that can't mine ETH/ETC anymore. 2GB GPUs can't mine RVN though.
Are there any current gpu that any miner would even use that has 2gb vram? Seems like it would be so old and inefficient it wouldn't make sense if the card had 2gb.
There are still people mining with RX 550 2GB. They were quite popular back then because of their low price and power efficiency.

Many people are at home...which gives you time to research and tweak your mining machines.

So, what are you mining right now and are you happy with the results?

At the moment I'm mining Dogecoin but with cloudmining. Is the coin with lower withdrawal and reinvestment and you can grow fast! In the last 6month it also has been stable in btc value (26-30 sat), and this is good when you mine a coin but you want BTC at the end. In five months I recovered initial investment !

Only mining grin. Easy to mine, still cheap and I believe it will rise in price sooner or later. The disadvantage of grin is the supply is unlimited but it is backed by theymos so... I kinda believe it will be listed on major exchanges and that can create a temporary (maybe) but huge pump.

eth and b**m, no profit. even electricity doesn't pay off Grin gpu prices too low to sell them. hoping someday coins pump.

You should actually try and put them on Craiglist and see what happens. I've been slowly getting rid of my GPUs on there and basically sold an average of 1 every month or so. However with this covid19 mess all of a sudden I quickly sold 5x as much in a single month.

Basically most people were buying them for their kids to build a gaming PC to keep them occupied. The prices haven't really gone up but at least they are selling quicker and might be a good time to sell any 4GB you got laying around.

Most people aren't mining right now because its not profitable. Unless you got sub $0.05 kwh power, then you are making pretty much nothing. Hence why there is so many GPUs and other mining gear for sale out there.

Pretty soon with the BTC halving there is going to be tons of ASICs on the market. I think most people these days are just speculating and trading their BTC, and some people are gambling with their BTC. Currently there is little activity in the mining section of bitcointalk compared to say last year or peak of 2018. You can mine for fun as a hobby or just hodl the coins that you mine and sell in a few years. Who knows, maybe the way inflation is going BTC might hit a new ATH and so can ETH sometime in the next 5 years.
