Hmm.... Nothing has changed between the WW2 and now, as far as brainwashing is concerned. If people could justify the invasion of Iraq and the bombing of Serbia, then they could justify another nuclear attack as well. There will be no backlash.

It might fly, if it has enough sugar-coating by the Mass Media Corporation. We already start seeing what happened in Yugoslavia back then, and as time go by, more info will leak and coalesce into a not so attractive picture. The same goes for Iraq, Afghanistan (both Soviet and American stay there), Libya. Yet, there was no backlash at the moment that counted the most - when atrocities happened.

I remember during the Invasion of Yugoslavia, there were a lot of posters in public transportation in Norway from Loesje, condemning the war, with slogans of the type "Weher are the NATO cheerleaders?". But people gazed at them indifferently, bare acknowledging their existence.

I disagree. During the WW2, when Japan was preparing to surrender, the US nuked them. Not once, but twice. It resulted in the death of close to 300,000 people, almost all of them civilians. There was no need for a nuclear attack back then. Did the USA faced any backlash for it? No. Did they ever gave any compensation? No. So your arguments are wrong.

Basically, with WW3 we have MAD - Mutually Assured Destruction so I don't think we're going to have to worry much about the value of the USD given that there'll probably be little human life remaining after the use of nukes.

Are you asking if US dollar is safe in case of WW3? I honestly don't think there is anything that could save USD and people's trust in it.. Just too much printing and the consequences have to be realized at some point.
