I think Bitcoin will be really usefull and mainstream later than most think. Maybe after 2020 or so. There are too many problems getting in / out the USD
In the near term, the future is probably very bright. Long term, who knows? The world is a chaotic place. It's hard to predict what condition humanity or the world will be in ten years from now.
It will become more and more main stream and then the next big war will make it disappear like any currency.

I think Bitcoin will be around for a long time to come, plus a few other coins that prove they have the chops to stay alive and truly innovate.
Third scenary, BTC is accepted by mostly governments as legal tender. Could it be possible?
I doubt, government will never want loose control about money
i think that when all BTC are mined that they will be stored on accounts like today's gold is stored in vaults. So not much BTC in circulation.
Or a complete collapse ( bubble ) is also possible.

Any guesses about the price either later today, tomorrow, a year or several years later are all speculation.
