Interesting idea:

. Silver/Gold Jewellery Making and Gemstone setting
. Artwork

Are you basically thinking of making a yellow pages on the internet for Bitcoin businesses?

Well, the idea is simply a way for people that want to exchange bitcoins to find each other easier.

So I think you guys need me for BTC... Grin

Not that it has much local value. Still someone has to work on the big picture in the future...

At the moment it would be probably knowing the tech needed to setup large scale networks...

This is a neat idea.  Personally, everything I can do can be done remotely, so I have no real need to meet with anyone locally.  But it would be good to have economies starting up around my area (Dallas/Fort Worth)

We all want Bitcoin to go from a speculation currency to having a real economy and backbone value. The best way for that to happen is people exchanging bitcoins for goods and services locally.

At Coinster we're building out our local exchange marketplace to help facilitate that. My question is what sort of skills do you have which can be exchanged for BTC?

Here is what we have so far:

car service
  - car wash/detail
  - chaeuffeur
  - tune up
  - oil change
  - mechanic

food
  - bread
  - cookies
  - cakes

residence
  - house cleaning
  - maid
  - butler

hair/beauty
  - haircut/barber
  - stylist
  - manicurist

computer
  - repair
  - web development

tutor/instruction
  - musical instrument
  - education/math
  - computer/tech

great idea, but due to the niche market of bitcoin the majority of your replies will be jokes (trolls) or those genuinely skilled in computer based industries. it may be worth you not just posting here, but in craigslist and other more varied forums

Advice: 5¢, though I'm told I overcharge.
Testing sports cars, I prefer Italian.
Take care of wives while husbands are away, I also prefer Italian.

We're thinking of adding escort services since that's legal many places. We're starting with the US but that's just the start.

These are good, but I'm hoping for things a bit more localized. Software type services can be bought and sold online.

Great idea, but....

......there are only a few cities in the US on this list so far
......site blacklisted at ws.surbl.org (sa-blacklist web sites). << open smtp server maybe? Wink

Yes, we're starting with major cities since Bitcoin isn't likely to be well adopted in more remote areas. As things pick up we'll expand of course. I'm not sure about surbl.org, will have to check into that.

Bots used for gold farming in MMOs.  Bitcoin shop links in my signature.

That still sounds like online commerce  Smiley

Are you only working with US cities? Can people from Europe join too?

Yeah, we're just getting the section up which is why we're asking for skill ideas. Bitcoin is adopted mostly in the US although it's spreading quickly. We'll add Europe, and actually global listing ability soon.

Sales copywriting - but hey, that's online too, so I don't count or something?

See http://www.copywriter-ac.com or the shorter version - www.salescopywriter.net

I charge $1500 per project, willing to accept $1000 of that in BTC, at whatever the rate happens to be at the time, unless it's a bitcoin-centric business in which case I'll discount to $1250.

Sounds like it's online, but it may work. Some things, like Web development, can apply locally or globally.
