Investments in altcoins have always been risky and it always will be, so one is required to do their due diligence before they make an entry in any altcoin because you can't know how good or bad it is just by looking at it in the market and how its price is going up or down.

Having a certain amount of liquid assets ready like fiat money is actually part of a solid money management strategy. In bull runs I always try to build up 10-20% of my total assets value in fiat money. If we have a correction I invest those liquid assets into the market, so buying cheap is the idea. I usually do not do this in one buy, but in several smaller buys, due to you can not really know how strong the correction will be. As soon as the market enters a bull run again, I build up fiat assets again for next correction.

Alts are always unpredictable. There are many factors present which affect the price. If you really want to make profits from it, then you have to study various things. It’s always better to go for Bitcoins or stablecoins if you want to make profits with less risk. Moreover many alts follow the Bitcoins, hence if you notice the movement of Bitcoins, then definitely you can make profit by choosing when to buy the alts and when to not.

What I can share about price action these days is when Bitcoin does sideways, altcoins pumping. When Bitcoin pumps, some altcoins pump too or they just stay sideways. When Bitcoin dumps, altcoin dumps.
So, if you think about, Bitcoin is advantage during pumps but some altcoins will pump high percentage, then you can use it as advantage, so choosing wisely altcoin performer is an advantage.

Most of the attention are in the big cryptocurrencies right now, but I don't see anything wrong in buying some alts to trade on the spot market just for some more juice aside from bitcoin or ETH. However, always just choose coins that have a lot of liquidity and not just its pricing. You may hold an alt that is priced high but no one wants to buy, and that's a problem because you're technically just holding a bag that no one wants to have at that point.

The best advise would still be stick to bitcoin. If you aim to generate multi sources of profits, investing in altcoins might hardly provide that. However, investing in altcoins could make you instantly rich but on the other hand, it could suddenly make you homeless more than you can imagine. It’s all because altcoins never stay longer in its high price as they will eventually fall until they find it hard to recover again from its deep price.

Your idea seems like you want to buy plenty altcoins to see what happens with them and how much ROI you can make, altcoins lack utility, so they are very risky to buy, particularly when their hype is over or at its peak, because the next step is down. In my opinion better wait and see with current market condition after bitcoin success raising higher price and current difficult move up more higher price as investor prefer for selling their bitcoin assets than buying. Bitcoin price raise up drastically and last several days stuck with difficult get higher price again, I think worth with investing in altcoin but have ready high risk and high return profitable with altcoin. One coin I will advice you to buy just any time is the bitcoin because this is the only coin that theirs certainty that it will increase from any of its current price now when you hodl for the right time. Any altcoin with a team behind working tirelessly with some good updates over the year is a good buy but please avoid meme coins even though are they promising to a lot of people, they don't represent what altcoins are even though they can't really have much achievement like the way Bitcoin has benefits from this market. You can have just diversify your portfolio with some later 1 altcoins and some new listed coins that hasn't done well this season.

You can also include coins that hasn't really go far this bullrun, there are room for more growth and expect some good updates around these altcoins, it is these updates that traders used in shillings coins. So if you get one and see update, you will know when it's the time to exit the market after having all the profits that you really needed.

I think we are currently in a discovery phase after a steep rise. There are always such sideways phases after a strong bull run. As there are currently no real price drivers, but the market is still positive in anticipation of the halving, I assume that we will remain between 60 and 80k for the time being. After the halving, there is usually more selling pressure before the market moves up again, usually followed by an ATH. This has been the case in the past. However, the game has changed a bit with ETFs. Much more money can now be easily invested and disinvested. But I think we will continue to follow the familiar pattern, so I stay bullish.

You can buy if you can be actively monitoring the market because at the moment Bitcoin is on upward trend this giving a good boost to Altcoins but once again the Altcoins will be the first one to dip hard if Bitcoin dips hence there is definitely larger risk involved as this involves good profit as well. But don't go all at once so it in parts to ensure if there is minor dips you can benefit form that as well.

But if you cannot actively monitor the market then don't go for Altcoins.

That should be your decision to make based on what you want to achieve and how long you have been in the market. If you have been around, and have seen lower prices, then you will barely enjoy buying at this point, but if you haven't been here and joined just recently, maybe you can buy at the current prices by applying the DCA method which will save you from the volatility of the market if you buy in one go.

Bitcoin Block Halving event will occur next month, and market dynamics will experience a change for sure but whether the initial change will be positive or negative is unknown to all of us. Thus, there is no proper answer to your question of whether you should wait or buy right now.

P.S: A suggestion from my side would be to always do your research before making an investment in a cryptocurrency, even if it's Bitcoin, if you are making your first investment in it, you need to know about it.

I would always advise you to buy coins that has been in the market for long and that had survived the bear market.
This is one of the ways we could know a good project especially looking at the market capitalization.
This would give you insight of what you are buying and what you should be expecting as an investor. The crypto market has so many projects available and the ones that would be launched soon so we should be prepared and ready to make proper investments buying and storing good project for the bull.

What i am seeing is that marketing is preparing for a major rally, and current negative news are mostly to shake off the final weak hands. Those who don't want to sell off even in this shake off will never sell where ever the price goes. So we can say we are in a accumulation zone right now where bitcoin made its resistance around 70k and support around 60K. That means there is an almost 10k price gap which is a lot to shake off the whole altcoin market. But in the long run i am expecting a major rally from the whole market 1 month after the halving.

There are no crypto assets that are so unpredictable, like altcoins. The market doesn't seem to go up or down which is hard to assume where it will go from here since looking at the indicators, most of them even BTC are somewhat overbought already.

But if you have to buy, choose the one that has good updates already. FET does have updates recently where they are merging with other AI projects, though it's a positive update, I'm still skeptical. I would just keep my stablecoin still.

If you are going for altcoins, know that they are highly volatile. You can see some altcoins that have increased 10 times or more. If they want to fall, they will fall massive also.
