I have used the bitcoin many times. If the price of bitcoin rises further, I will use more of that. It is good for the coin.

The best I like in Bitcoin is that you can do many things with it and that is really nice and I am almost for sure that it will be the future payment method in the future and that would be perfect for the currency itself.
But the bad thing is that you are not for sure what is going to happen in the future with the currency itself so that is the risky thing of it.

That's quite some optimism. 100.000 is a lot of money. You know that right.
I suppose that on a 5-10 years term Bitcoin will get more adoption, maybe not worldwide but at least enough for merchants to accept it. Perhaps more companies like Steam would accept.
Towards the price, it's hard to say anything reasonable, since it would be speculation without any backing.

I am more optimistic. The price will be more than 100,000 dollars after 10 to 20 years. But it depends on the usage.

Well right now it's not the best it has ever been but I do think it will become great again. With the block size limit there are a lot of transactions that are in queue and so even if you send something you could be waiting hours before first confirmation starts. The rally is good but the increased volume means longer wait times.

Well, I think bitcoin is the epitome of technological development in the internet, so I guess bitcoin will be growing in the internet, in addition to the future bitcoin will also be in use throughout the world because it has many benefits, one of which, could improve the economic crisis that occurred in the community

I think bitcoin has replaced all digital currency, but it is still a lot of people who do not use it because bitcoin is still limited if used for a payment. but in the future I believe bitcoin is the most used.

Yep, I think there is nothing really wrong with the question. Anyhow, I feel the same way about Bitcoin. Time will come, and I believe it will be sooner than later that Bitcoin will be more recognized worldwide and will be widely accepted by many.

If he is asking for that then I think yes it will happen and will happen very sooner, the governments will accept it and will be allowed at the banks for financial affairs of the government, so then every coin will be replaced and there will be the royalty of only bitcoin.

i think there is a difference between replacing all digital currencies and being the most used currency.

because i do believe the bitcoin can replace any for of digital/online payment system and rise above all of them very soon. but to be used instead of fiat (the paper money in offline stores) i doubt this can ever happen. or at least this will not happen in our lifetime.

And for your kind info, bitcoin is already a digital currency and it is used for virtual businesses etc.

There are a number of altcoins which sometimes come in front, and which are sometimes adopted by some people and some companies in replace of bitcoin which is a thread to bitcoin, so that is why the OP is asking for that will bitcoin defeat all the other coins.

I think that tin the future ther will be many people are using the bitcoin and off course the price of the bitcoin would be that high that only people are investing and not buying coins.

Bitcoin always remain in his own shape, i don't think that bitcoin need to change in digital currency. If bitcoin want to change so why bitcoin will come. Bitcoin is better as it is, people are using it and like it more than other currencies because bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. And i believe it in future bitcoin will also achieve more success and more verities will be applay in it and will be remain in his own shape.

Why you have to think about future to come to that conclusion ? Its already there.Maybe something like bitcoin would be used  officially to buy stuff on airports and government organisations.Maybe buy train tickets with bitcoins.Pay for your bus fares with bitcoins.Hope you do get the point.

Bitcoin will be more powerful and bigger in future and we will see many new companies and business entering into it which will attract more users to invest their money into it.

There are faster and more anonymous alternavites popped up at past and non of them were be able to kill bitcoin. On the contrary, they made bitcoin more powerful as they advertised crypto in general while they were advertising their own brand. While most of them lost their volume in time, bitcoin still stays strong.

Bitcoin definitely holds the power to replace Paypal in near future, the only thing it needs is the promotion at higher level, and once it is done, then Bitcoin can create a history.

i believe that bitcoin has a lot of potential in becoming a very popular currency instead of just remaining as an investment. and because of that i think in the future there will be a lot more places to spend bitcoin, so much that bitcoin will replace any form of online payments like paypal.

I think that the future is going to be good for Bitcoin even tho it is not sure. I believe that it will be good but nothing is guaranteed so maybe Bitcoin will disappear in the future.

I think the bitcoin will be currency of choice for most people in the world in the future. It will take decades though.

If bitcoin becomes the gold standard for internet payment then we still need good escrow services.

i realize, when one constantly follows bitcoin development, it feels like a timelapse when you get back into the real world and realize only a handful of people are aware of bitcoin's massive potential.

The short answer is no. Bitcoin will be one of the most important currencies, perhaps together with a couple of other digital currencies (ETH, NXT, BTS, XMR and a few others are all good candidates), and fiat going to stay for a very very long time (maybe the issuer will change time to time).

We have same insights with bitcoin on the future, which is bitcoin being a major payment method in the internet and replacing paypal. But for me, not only on the internet but also in the real world. Imagine buying groceries with bitcoin as a payment, that will be great

Main payment method in the internet for the next years, replacing paypal and others. Dont think it will become a official currency for any country or replace FIAT money.

If IT skills will be required to use bitcoin effectively that means we as bitcoin community already failed. Current bitcoin is similar to PC market in the 80. when only tech geeks used them.

I think you're right. In my opinion that's a shame but to be realistic that's what I see as well. The worldwide reach seems so established now but man that's the best part! To be able to move funds so easily and so quickly it's just mind-blowing to me.

It will not be used by everyone, mostly welcomed by a specific group of people with enough IT skill, or even machines. Will play a big role in international trading due to its worldwide reach instantly

BTC will be a reserve currency widely used by large bitcoin holders, which will happen to be big market movers/institutions/companies/ maybe even governments. It will never really be used for point of sale transfers on a massive scale, particularly not for everyday articles. Why? It's insane to spend a currency that is gaining value by the year. And too complicated or risky, even with QR codes and mobile phones. You wouldn't use gold coins to do your grocery shopping, and gold isn't even deflationary as Bitcoin is by design. Nevertheless, BTC will be a great form of hedging against fiat and a great solution for retirement savings, unless you are impatient or sell at a local low. You will still be able to buy anything with BTC, but it will likely be a yacht or a house because of its future value. Can't afford it, you say? So, you likely won't be using Bitcoin then! Perhaps you will use an altcoin, but which one is a tough question.

How likely will you use bitcoin regularly in the future? A bit, if you happen to be holder of a considerable amount, say 10 Bitcoins. I have hardly ever bought anything for it, and I'm lucky I didn't because prices went from a few cents to hundreds of Dollars. And this isn't even the future! Deflation will not change suddenly if BTC is worth 10x as much or even 100x as much.

Bitcoin has a near perfect economical model which turns labor into value as money should be valued.
Too bad the world we live in is not perfect and will never work as perfect as we would want it to work.
Bitcoin is as perfect as cash or as gold. Both gold and cash have drawbacks too mostly that people can steal them from you.

I do think Bitcoin has a future but not as a sole currency but more as cash or gold.

One of the major reasons why bitcoin will never become the sole store of value are the following situations....
- Getting a mortgage: Go to a bank? NO banks do not exist in a perfect bitcoin world.
- Benefits for disabled: Go to the government? Where do they get their bitcoins from?!? Tax ?!? How do you tax a potentially invisible currency?

For Bitcoin to make it as a sole currency the world and our cultures must change quite considerably first. I don't see that happening in our lives...

I believe that relying solely on Bitcoin would currently require anarchy which looks great on paper but doesn't work.

Bitcoin can do a lot for us now but it will never be the only currency.

Bitcoin will limp through the next few years. There are too many problems with security and useability. Being associated with child pronographers and drug dealers and terrorists hamper mass adoption. Chinese government will start cracking down on it as well. You are all going to be f*cked.

True it will never replace non-virtual money, however a key aspect of a currency is it uniqueness. Being the no.1 virtual currency gives it trust and usabillity when more and more shops etc. start adopting it.

I don't think it will replace any currently existing fiat currencies, but it definitely can co-exist with other fiat currencies to get the best of both sides. It will be a very successful alternative way of making payments and storing of wealth.

Bitcoin will definitely change the way we see and use money. Last, even close change like this has came in the 60s when credit cards were introduced.

Yes I see Bitcoin still being a king of the crypto currencies in the near future. There are many other alternative coins but the world ain't ready even for Bitcoin at the moment and not for some other more complicated coins.

I see a long way and hard and bumpy road in front of us but I think we have a fair chance to revolutionize the way money is being used in the next 10 years.

In the near future bitcoin will be the only official e-currency. With better (secured) wallets and usable for the masess, adopton will come.

I don't expect a big rise (x10), but that is not something whey i am into bitcoin. I got into bitcon because it is the future of any transactoins, secure, anonymous, decentralized and made & maintained by the users..

No banks, multinationals or even governements.. you, me & everbody else.

My view and hope is that Bitcoin will have it's breakthrough as a online currency first. This includes online shopping,e-commerce, new ways of monerarization for gamers, youtubers, streamers, bloggers, newspapers (buying articles via micropayments) etc.

Secondly I hope for Bitcoin having an impact in foreign remittances markets.

And thirdly it will increase in daily use worldwide and coexist with fiat money.

I have viewed the future and the future is bitcoin/blockchain.

I think all aspects of life will utilize the blockchain. There will be useful and innovative applications and uses of the blockchain which will make the way we do things cheaper and more efficient. The blockchain will be incorporated into our lives in amazing ways yet to be discovered.

I believe it will be all legal to use worldwide, it will be acceptable in most shops.
And its' price will rise more with success.

it may be good also for bitcoin to simply play a big role with the fiat currency there is no need to replace them all to be globally adopted

There is no doubt that Bitcoin is a success , If we are going to speak about replacing the alternative coins then It's already done and in my point of view .. altcoins are simply cheap copies of Bitcoin and they will never surpass it .
If we speak about fiat , I wouldn't be so sure honestly . Maybe people will switch to bitcoin when it comes to buying and selling stuff but they will always keep fiat (Euro , dollar ...) to cash-out  BTC .

I think he is referring to replacing digital payment methods not currencies (altcoins). We all have an opinion but really nobody knows for sure what Bitcoin future is. For other areas, we can foresee how a company may do next year depending on its growth, plans, etc. But Bitcoin world is a volatile one, full of uncertainties.

Take this into consideration, what would happen if tomorrow France discovered that the attacks were funded with Bitcoin therefore declaring it illegal? This would be a huge hit on BTC value. There are plenty of stuff like that are quite pausible. On the other hand, Bitcoin gets more and more interest from huge companies every month so maybe next year it could find a niche, for example replacing Western Union and the demand becomes huge. Another option is that something else appears that is more easily accepted by the mainstream (Bitcoin is not easy to work or understand for common people)

In conclusion, it can be worth millions or nothing in the next years. Trying to figure out its future its futile.
