Give the gift of something handmade, whether it's a clay vase or a woven basket. It is an element of interior that will always remind her of you and bring joy, or something related to her hobbies or work

so have you decided what to give her mate?

anyway Happy birthday to Her and hope to have more and more years of celebrating with generous son/daughter like you.

Yes. Unfortunaly this thread shows that people on this forum mostly don't read the thread before posting. That happen when people get value from the number of posts they do.
Or sometimes mate it is the culture that makes us different from giving our advice and opinion specially if we are talking about personal things as our culture build us how we will interact to others .

My mom has her birthday in 2 weeks and I don't know what to buy for her.
(57 yo)

Spam me your ideas!

Try to give her a hug,kiss and take her in the quite place  I am sure that your mom will be happy

I agree the best birthday gifts for our parents don't need to be expensive or complicated to make. We just need to do a simple thing to give a hug
and a little attention to our parents on his birthday. I believe our parents will be very happy if on their birthday they can get attention from their children.

At least mate reading post above will not bring you any harm as OP had already decided to Give her Mom a Ice cream machine in which she loved. so there is no point
in tackling about the said gift because it is done.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OP you did a great decision giving her that machine at least she can make Her own version of any Ice cream she wanted or even experimental , she can create a
More healthier version of ice cream in which very rare to find nowadays in stores.
A dinner date would be good for start and a present depends on her personality,
There are some who are into device or gadgets if your mom is one of them then buy her something.
Another one would be what is her favorite to watch? Buy her some souvenir from it some mother likes to watch K-Drama so it is easier to gift them some korean products along with their idols.
if your mother is techy person ? then why not create her a website ? our parents loves to list all the things they are doing so creating her own account will make her busy at a certain time and may create many things over internet to connect to her long lost friends or find business that she dreamed of.
I would get my mother a gold-plated mom heart birthstone pendant necklace.
She will appreciate it very much since I know she loves gold jewelry. And along with her birthstone, it is a necklace that she can wear when she goes out anywhere for any occasion.
My mother loves plants, so every year she gets a new one from me for her birthday. She has a garden with enough space, without it I would probably just buy some flowers. And then I either buy her a new book or just some chocolates. Don't worry so much about the gift, better spend some time with her and tell her you love her. That is most important for mothers.
Regardless of age, women attach great importance to quality. You can choose some accessories or clothes for your mother, but you must buy the right size, otherwise it will be embarrassing.
A birthday cake is a must, and a sense of ritual is also very important. Take time out to celebrate her birthday with your mother. This feeling of happiness and harmony will definitely make your mother very happy.
No occasion or special day is required to give a gift to the mother no gift is equal to the mother. No matter how valuable it is. Still tell mom with one of her favorite things in her hand mom I love you so much mom's favorite sari can also be a great gift buy a sari of the color that the mother likes also if you have a hobby of gardening, you can collect any rare tree also give any tree gift of his choice. You can decorate the veranda of the mother's room by bringing a few tubs of trees.
I doubt your mother wants something as a present because your mother wants your attention as her kids. You can give her any precious thing worth of thousand dollars, but if after you give that gift to your mom, you back busy with what you did, that is still not worth it for her.
Maybe you need to give her more attention and talk to her as often as you can so you can build a deeper relationship than just a kid with her mother. That is what mothers need.
But I suggest you spend your time on her birthday. It is like quality time of the family. You can buy her flower that she like and dinner with a whole of your family. And tomorrow, you should give her attention and take care of her as she did for you when you were kids.
Send Her a 50$ worth of Bitcoin with a dealing that if she make it grow in the last 5 years then you will send her another x5 of that amount  Grin Grin Grin
since every single things in the world she can acquire or will be given to her every birthday , so giving bitcoin might be the rarest thing for her.
Spending someone money who dont need money is the most lame thing you can do. I really understand the thinking, but in some cases it's just weird. Imagine spending a millionair a letter with 50€ cash.
What I mean was little fancy gift ideas, objects people don't buy themself normaly. As example what I found was an original newspaper from the day where the person was born. Something like that.
I get your point and thank you for getting my point too. We're really have the same situation and what we think is good as a gift.
I found your gift to be odd but if that's the perfect one for your mom, I think you have to spend time researching for those the same things that you might find after a few searches on google.
Instead of buying just create your gift.  Its always better choice than buying. For instance i made a cake for my girlfriend in cat pawn shape and she was soo happy. And i made a place in our garden to my father and now we cant convince him to come our house. I rebuild our balcony as my mother wished when she went to visit my grandmother.  Giving your effort is better than buying. They feel they are very important 😉
As I said - we live pretty close so all these things are normal buisness in my family, and I will not just make a cake.
I really only mean ideas with objects to buy.
Give her the cash and write a letter how much you appreciated her and loved her all over these years.
That's going to be surely appreciated by her and with some bonus through cash.  Cool
I mean if I said a gift card is not an option....why should it cash be?
It's not that my parents need money - I understand if people with success give their poor parents money, but in my case it would be weird.
I really wonder why all here write the same lame options and I'm happy you all are not my childs xD
It's not about that you're thinking that they're poor but it's about that it's just an incentive and as a gift, there's no other meaning with that. I've added about the letter and it's much better if it's handwritten by you.
Well, I won't give any option anymore as you've asked and we've gave what we think is good. And by which, we're not in the same situation and appreciation and happiness depends on the person you give and the person that gives.
That's why we have gave some you think as lame options and that's what we think is going to be appreciated by your mom but maybe there's something better and it shall be known by you.
By the way, advance happy birthday to your mom.  Smiley
A nice bag or some accessories may help, if your mom is actively going out she might love a  new bag to carry when going to malls
just sharing my idea as my mom loves that kind of gift.
Else, accessories or if you can exceed your budget you can buy her jewerly, advance happy birthday to your mom!
Clothes and jewerly are a imo not an good idea - sure our mothers would not say they don't like the bag u gift them, but these things woman need to choose by themself cause we man don't have a sense for what they like and what not.
And jewerly is tricky cause first it can contain the same problem and 2nd my mom wear jewerly thats way more worth than my budget (and I'm not allowed to spend too much for a present for her, she don't want her kids spending much money for her).
And a gift card is also no option.
Nice bottle of champagne, maybe take her to dinner but surely the best present is just spending a nice day with you & the family.
They have tons of champos and wine at home - no need for the 100th bottle.
Also we live pretty close so I see my parents nearly daily and also eat together often enough. In normal cases yes your right, but in my case it's nothing special.
I really looking for a present idea. Not giftcards, food, alc, flowers or all these things. Something like its christmas where u unpackage something.
