Those who invested in early 2015, had patience to keep their coins till the end of 2017 and prudence to quit when the time came, multiplied their investments. There are a lot of reasons people invest in crypto, one of them is the value, a lot of investors got a lot of profit by only holding it for long term and it's safer to keep your coin the wallet, there are a lot of security layers in the wallet, and its safe from the government supervision, and the future potential of crypto is very bright, there are more adoption and research that being conducted to implement crypto in daily life, and its more efficient to used crypto as transaction system

I think op should consider doing a pool to evaluate what really brings people to crypto, as for me, in the early days of blockchain, the tech was quite fascinating, even though over-hyped still it was an ingenious invention and worthy of the emerging tech-class. However, with a gravitational shift to a more speculative value rather than utility, it's become harder to know what really brings people to crypto as the days of stupendous "x'es" are probably over, and people lose more money now that before.

You have every right to come into crypto platform for any reason that suits your interest but this ideology of using the system for profit or trading purpose only may make us never to see a stable coin or less volatile market.

We at least need to try as much as possible to keep part of it as asset so that crypto currency aim can be fully achieved on both side and not just falling on the part of profit alone, one of the reason why we are not experiencing much growth in the market is because a lot of people are scared of saving their money in the crypto platform because of its instability and we need more funds to keep the market growing.

If you feel it that way then you are right but there are some safety measures that you have to do first in order to safely secured your crypto on your wallet. By putting your key on a piece of a paper and hide it somewhere where you are the only one who knows where it's hidden.

Saving it any hard drives will be good provided that you'll never used it for another transactions. But even though we have do it still we can't assured that it will be a 100% safe unless we don't used that wallet anymore after saving cause it possible that we might be misplace our keys.
It is also a keep safe that not to leave our coins in an exchanges cause might not know that it will be hacked and loss everything inside including ours. So better to keep it in our wallet if we don't want to sell it.

You are right, and people attracted to crypto in 2017 is because, in the middle of that year, they see the crypto was started to booming especially on many ICO. So they decide to invest some money, buy many coins while the price is low, and after the middle of that year, boom, the crypto was exploded and many people were making huge money.
I don't agree too if we save the money in crypto because we don't know what will happen with crypto and we can see that the crypto still unpredictable besides that, we need money in our life. But maybe we can separate the money into 2 parts, so we could still use the money while we can save the other money in crypto.

I think the investors get into the crypto is because they see the future behind of the blockchain and they are following and aware of the technology. They think that cryptocurrency is one new type of investment while it's not already getting a massive adoption everywhere, they can get part of it. Although it didnt last long due to the investors who take advantage the bull run and sell their holdings.

I am not being sentimental, but I think seeing the system from investment side is really killing the system. We can also see this playing out in the recent market as the market is still yet to experience big investors who comes in form of whale to invest heavily and thereby pushing the price of the coin so high to bull for profit purpose.

But, I think the investors that where interested has already made enough through the previous bull and not come in again until maybe next year but the truth is that this has to stop because the technology was created simply for payment and not investment, this action of theirs in the past is what is still making the market yet to recover.

I don't think investors invest into cryptocurrencies because of how secured the blockchain technology is but because most of us wants to make profits from the market. I can even say the major reason why people are not investing into cryptocurrencies is because many of them are afraid of the decentralized system and the preferred a third party system like bank and other financial institutions.
Blockchain technology is the safest place in terms of secured system but many people don't know about it and those that know more about it are afraid on the system!

Banks have been around forever but only in the last 10+ or so years they have been portrayed as the bad guys they are, even in movies and such we are starting to see people who are actually evil bankers, we didn't really see that before 2008 that much.

In fiat transaction online, you must use your real name, pay huge fee, and wait for 2-3 business day in order to complete the transaction. Depend on someone if we talk about cryptocurrency are much safer rather than we save in the banks. You may see some people who lose money in their wallet although it's their own fault. I do believe most people who come to invest in cryptocurrency are only in money matter, cryptocurrency are the most promising place to get a lot of profit especially investor bitcoin, till this time I can't imagine if someone start investing in 2010 and now he still hold a lot of bitcoin in their wallet, how much wealth they have got.

However, for someone who is conscious of the function of bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a whole, they will continue to explore and make cryptocurrency always grow. They will not be fixated on the investment that they have, but they will look for other loopholes so as cryptocurrency can be used by everyone. The main reason we have a lot of persons investing in crypto is because of the value not just the technology, this is what is causing frustration in the market because many of individuals who bought bitcoin in 2017 thinking that there will be an increase in price so that they can dump their coin ended up losing huge amount of money.

90% of people buy crypto to make a profit, meaning cryptos are a good investment and people want to take advantage of this opportunity to make a profit, there's nothing wrong with that. If people make a profit on the investment they make, they can use those coins to buy their things. that's why I say that it's okay for people to enter the crypto world because of that.

In addition, investing into cryptocurrency can be less complicated compared to conventional investments since you only purchase the coins and wait for its value to mature enough to be converted back to cash. Although it may yield large profit margins, it is also a double-edged sword since its risks are directly proportional to the rewards.
On the other hand, some people appreciate the blockchain technology since it revolutionized on how it addressed the elimination any third-party trust.

What brings investors into crypto is its fluctuating value. I am sure this is the main factor that makes investors interested in crypto. If it is safe, the system of bitcoin is not entirely safe because it is still prone to fraud and hacking. So in my opinion what really brings investors into crypto is its value. And of course there are still many reasons because there are many advantages of crypto that can get investors into it.

of course the number one reason is profits or lets say money to be specific. Lol because on crypto currency there's a free money especially doing bounty and there's a massive profits also when it comes investing because its very promising wherein with it you can double your money in just one blink because of being so volatile of market time on time .reason more people become interested on it.

If all investors are to come out plain or vote, I can bet with my money that majority of the investors are in for the value and not for the system itself, which is the main reason why bitcoin has not really experienced high growth in its usage. Most of us including I sees it as a means of which the value of our current asset can be multiplied.

I remembered when I was first introduced to crypto currency, the person that introduced me to it convinced me with the fact that BTC is a good investment for the future of my children,because whatever amount I put in now will surely multiply by 100x before they are through with school, but really never made me see the benefit of crypto from the system aspect.

Admittedly or not recognized that people are interested because the value is extraordinary when the Hype occurs, it is very human if someone is interested in jumping directly to the market but there is sadness that they do not understand exactly the concepts in crypto and blockchain, insights that make mistakes breakable, the second is realistic because he wants to have a savings account in the future not too obsessed with being impromptu, that's what I know and in the end after the bearish market goes they start coming out and complaining about this situation, I just want to say You are not at the right time in placing all your money and not having enough patience as a long-term investor.

a) Money matters (that's why they called investors so they will expect a return)
b) Technology
c) Easy to used

As far as the crypto hype is concern, there is no doubt that majority dragged into crypto because of what they saw to others, getting decent earnings.

However, there are people who realized that crypto is not always about getting "profits" and began to take advantage the fundamentals of using blockchain technology.

While on the process of pursuing their main purpose they learned how good using crypto is, how easy to access it, how easy to convert it on fiat etc. all things that they never experienced in a centralized payment processor or banks.

The most common reason why investors are coming simply because they want to earn more, and since the hype on investing with cryptocurrency is high, they tend to focus on this one without any understanding about how this market works. I also like the idea of having a faster transactions so this is my one reason why I’m still here in cryptomarket.

I can't give a concrete example but the military defense and its supply chain (the blockchain start to be used by 2-3 companies) can be more efficient by 10-15%. (The USA don't use the blockchain directly ofc). For a company 10% increase in efficiency means a couple of million of profit increase yearly

When Bitcoin price starts from $.1 and then goes off to $100 then obviously, people goes crazy and went to crypto to make more money. Of course there's also that idea that bitcoin can be used as store of value since we have total control over it. And then by simply investing, your money will grow overtime that not even the banks can give you that big interest. But you have to understand that you need to know how to secure your wallet as well, specially if you're going to put a huge amount of money in crypto as investments or store of value.

crypto platform was purely concentrate in decentralised platform because of everyone knows everything. It is more transparent in banking system so I really like this concept and we will earn great profit in short term. Normally all the companies and industries are adopt Cryptocurrency so this will be a future fiat currency.

To me. the reason why I joined bitcoin all those years ago was the capability of earning money from all around the world instead of just my own country. If I wanted to earn money from an american it would have to be a big deal before bitcoin, now it is something quite easy and if I do like a simple task and earn 5 bucks which is basically nothing but still good feeling that I could do it and get the money in less than half an hour. The ease of transactions and connecting the whole world together was what brought me into bitcoin.

Plus, when I first started my laptop was capable of mining bitcoin, even those times laptops was getting out of hand and something like fpga (could be different, long time ago) was getting more attention but still my laptop making me money was a great feeling to begin with.

First is the obvious profits waiting for them should the market change its course and go for huge gains. Bitcoin and crypto has always been posited for gains no matter the weather, and will surely be overcoming bear markets as people don't fully lose confidence on the said asset. I think we all know why investors came to crypto,
It is because of the profit ,Investors wouldn't invest on something if it weren't for profit.
I know it is harsh but it is the reality people started to notice crypto because of the profit.
Take a look back as time past by more and more people are using it because they know that they could earn from it,
But when it was just new and before the big pumps people are just ignoring it.

Most people that invested in crypto are getting money. Huge revenue - this is what pushed them to invest in cryptocurrencies. And not any blind faith in decentralized future based on blockchain. Imagine the number of Bitcoin holders if it was not so profitable over 2017. It is also hard to find any practical usage for most of the so-called digital assets purchased by people. So the only reasonable thing that brings crypto to people is money.

i would categorize investors into three categories:
1. those who are in bitcoin because of the technology and what it offers as a decentralized currency and that can not be found anywhere else.

2. those who are in it for the money
2.1. the first group are real investors who know what they are doing and have been making a ton of money doing this because they are aware of where they should put their money and don't waste it on dumping altcoins.
2.2. the newbies that are hoping for the money but have no idea what they are doing. they usually get caught up in some altcoin and lost all their money by bag holding a bunch of them and call that a "portfolio" and go bankrupt sooner or later.

note that you don't have to only belong to one category. for example i am here because i like the technology and what bitcoin offers but also i love making a lot of money!

i came for the online poker (seals with clubs) back in 2012 but tbh became much more interested when the bubble erupted in 2013. then i got into trading crypto and never really looked back. i gradually gained a real appreciation for the genius and utility of bitcoin and its ability to secure value. there's a pretty steep learning curve to wrapping one's head around it (math, code, cryptography, economic theory etc) so i'm never surprised when i see noobs clinging to buzzwords and chasing useless tokens that are bound to fail.

A sad fact, they bought bitcoin for one obvious reason but they don't understand the technology lies behind it. But it's all changing today, people who are investing to bitcoin today starts to realize and understands what bitcoin really is.

It depends on the investor, but most come for the money, which makes sense since all investors are looking to make money, the difference strives in how they plan to achieve this, if an investor takes his time to research different projects and then invests with the idea of holding those few projects for years after doing his due diligence then the chances that he will be successful are high, unfortunately that is not our average investor, the average investor in this market invest in whatever new coin has the most hype or invest in a coin someone recommended in a social network and as you may guess the chances of success for someone like that are very low.

The main reason people are coming to crypto is the money sadly. There are the ones who buy Bitcoin and hope to see it "mooning" within 6 months. And there are the ones that buy the first altcoin they heard about and they think it will pump at 1000% within 48h.
