- This is a Catch 22 question, because if everybody thought "Xcoin" was the best coin to mine and everybody mined it, the difficulty would skyrocket. Then Xcoin wouldn't be the best coin to mine anymore.

If research isn't your thing, then you might want to consider joining a multipool that switches to the most profitable coin of the moment (hashcows, trademybit, wafflepool, etc)
