I don't think any alts will fly if Bitcoin doubles in value but I would be inclined to look at something like Counterparty.
XCP is based on the Bitcoin blockchain, so could profit from bitcoin's further success.
I don't think it will rise in Bitcoin terms though.

if bitcoin can go past the ath and stay way above it then perhaps the tide's gonna go out and leave the alts exposed. for quite a while it's been conceivable that an alt could eat a major chunk of bitcoin's share even though it was all down to empty pumps.
if that possibility is flattened then there might be some short term turmoil with alts as people realise they won't ever go anywhere. it won't stop the pumps and dumps of course but just maybe the 'bitcoin killer' shit will be done once and for all.
then maybe we'll get some real applications from coins that are forced to actually work to justify their existence for once.

Yeah, im tired of the 'bitcoin killer' nonsense. There's not a single altcoin in sight that can challenge bitcoin, so I wish to see them fall as BTC shines, then that would mean they need to start putting real effort if they want to steal from bitcoin's marketcap.
But ultimately, we need to take risks in the altcoin world if we want to make more BTC, if we don't want to trade against any fiat currencies which means giving all personal details to exchanges which sucks.

I believe that top 6-7 altcoins will rise for sure maybe more, but only for short time, for long time they need to deliver more (i exclude ethereum, which i believe will rise also)

in long term none. Some coins might keep it up if pumped during BTC rise. If none they all lose it value like yesterday/today.

Altcoins that don't attempt to do what Bitcoin does "better" or "faster" appreciate in value alongside BTC. Really anything outside of a select few coins will at least maintain its BTC value (and if it holds value while Bitcoin appreciates, it's appreciating, too.)
Im not sure about that... we have seen huge ETH crashes, huge MAID crashes... as BTC climbed up. I think those aren't safe too, when a big ass BTC pump happens everyone sells their altcoins. At the end of the day, everyone just wants more and more BTC, they will sell anything they have to make their BTC holdings bigger. There are no safe coins when BTC pumps.
On a dip is a different story. But then again, people might sell the alts to buy the dip so....

So let's say the ETF passes and we get a price increase of up to $2,000+ per BTC. The question here is simple: Since we want more BTC and not more USD, what altcoin can we hold that will also grow along with BTC?
Is such a thing even possible? Right now, all alts are pretty flat or going red... because king BTC is rissing.
So how can I get more BTC when BTC is growing?
