Head over the Altcoin Mining section and read some of the post there and you will get a great idea of what is currently popular to mine.  Also check out whattomine.com to see what is the most profitable coins to mine currently. You can take a look through some of the articles in my signature and my website as well if you are looking for an into to mining and how to get started.

There is lots to learn before you jump in.  Keep reading and ask questions when you have them!

Hello, im new to mining, but have decent IT skills. I have access to 20 to 30 1070 FTW Hybrids, At least Twenty of them. My boss has 80 of them he purchased from a wholesaler that went out of business.
My electricity is free from wind and solar. My boss, (who owns a computer store) asked to build him a rig to mine alt-coin, but I dont know where to start with hardware selection (other than the video cards we already have).

My question is, where do I start?
I'm familiar with the general process of mining, but I need to know which controller board and PSU all of you would use if you had access to free electricity and 20-30 1070 ftw hybrid video cards?

Would the Asrock H110 be viable? I dont see how you can fit all the 1070's on there. is there a controller board that you plug the video cards into, then plug into the mobo?

Boss was a stock analyst in the 80's.
He said we've missed the boat on mining Bitcoin, but he said theres still many good cryptos out there with potential.
He likes LiteCoin, Etherium and Tron. Do you agree?

Hardware selection is most important, but I'm also curious what coins everyone would mine.

I appreciate the noob help here.

I'll also create a blog of my build and weekly progess so I can catalog this adventure.

I appreciate all your answers in advance! Thanks alot for helping me build this rig guys!
