No, American dollars will not be used on Mars. No one would risk carrying American dollars with them at a place where theft can happen easily and there is no security.
It is obvious that some secured money (as rightly said : crypto) would be used on Mars for th first 3-5 years of existence atleast

Ofcourse not. Thy can't people just use the common money? American dollar could be easily used on mars the same way as we use it with debit cards. The fact that some kind of money is not physical doesn't make it a cryptocurrency.
First of all let the population or people moving to Mars get a good count. Later can explore and think about the requirements. Even before the days of necessity, thinking of digital money usage doesn't make sense. All needs to happen with time and the advancement.

its obvious that digital money will be used as a financial source once one has departed from the earth's atmosphere..is bitcoin or crypto currency the only way to start planning ahead? BTC
