I have read the thread about the disadvantages of bitcoin and I believe that some of them can be fixed in the future.
My question is: were at the beginning some disadvantages with bitcoin that have been solved along the way?

I mean except for the price. Transaction fees seemed to be lower at the beginning and so for the processing time. But was there something that seemed to be a problem that has been solved during these years? Otherwise why do people keep saying that bitcoin is the future if year by year there are more problems than solutions?
