sustaining technology versus disruptive technologies
Not at least any time soon. The future tech will be totally based on the foundation of bitcoin so you can never say it would replace bitcoin.Robotics can potentially affect bitcoin in many was. They can replace miners completely.

Quantum computing could iirc make cryptography, including ECC weaker (a 4096 bit key would be as easy to break as a 2048 bit key is now). However, if we could get people to agree on it, we could change Bitcoin to use a newer, quantum resistant system.
Yes that would drastically change computing in general and not just bitcoin.Same goes for high bandwidth connections which would transfer terabytes of data over seas in milliseconds.

Very true. I think since Bitcoin's value is protected solely by hashing computation, the only thing that could realistically supplant it (not break it) would be (and this is only if quantum computers became a consumer good)  a physical quantum computer based Bitcoin technology - lets say BitcoinQ

In the era of disruptive technologies, which has seen the creation and ... the fall of the great scheme Ponzi will affect the way people look at Bitcoin, especially in Nigeria.

Not only in Nigeria but in every part of this world that are into crypto. The saddest thing that happened to me is when I talked to somebody about bitcoin and the first word he did mentioned was "scam" "ponzi". We know that there are a lot of HYIP's / doublers / cloud mining that are scam and I guess my friend was just a victim of it but I more concern about his belief about bitcoin now that it was just a scam and his not willing to listen again to me with this topic.

how do we change such behavior?

is positive macerating a factor? bad press and experience and allegations concerning bitcoin may have a plausible cause as well for people to feel this way

Well, it is really hard to change thar behaviour. Maybe in two years or more, when bitcoin hits a big price, he will realize that bitcoin is not a scam or ponzi

sustaining technology versus disruptive technologies

To be honest I think Bitcoin still needs to find its place in the world before one can speculate about which technology is able to disrupt Bitcoin the most.

Apart from that I would guess any alt that manages to solves scalability before Bitcoin does. However it seems that no such implementation exists yet, as even those that claim to show improved scalability over Bitcoin are usually dependent on some central authority.

The Tangle has the ability to disrupt the already disruptive world of DLT in ways people haven’t even thought of yet. Quantum resistant, solving the scalability issues and zero fee transations.

We would really come to a point on where quantum computers which do have the capability on such decrypting then it would really affect bitcoin for sure. There would really be disadvantage but this thing would really give some advantage to improve more regarding bitcoin technology.
