Certainly among your proposals C is the best choice but if I can give my advice:

1) wait another two weeks until the btc fork when it's worth over $ 7,000 and the alts are much lower now .... so you'll always have your 3 btc but you'll be able to buy a lot more coins and you'll also have money free from bitcoin s2x (you can resell or hold)

2) Do not buy only 3-4 coins but divide your investment into at least 10 coins

3) if you can keep your investment for at least 2-3 years (5 years in crypto does not exist :-) then i will advise you:

iota-omg-elixir (you already know) but still
Neo - Qtum - Shift - Sys - Kore - Eidoo - Xby - Stratis - Radium - Nav - Xspec

Good luck and do your research  Wink

There will be no fork.  Everyone was stacking up BTC-s to get free coins out of thin air due to the fork, but thats not gonna happen.  Now people will sell some of their BTC, and invest more on alts again.

If you listen to me, you will buy some alts now, before their price compared to BTC rise again.

Investment decision require serious homework before gonna do deposit that amount. If you have proven track record in trading you can choose good altcoins while prices are digging around low levels. Neo and qtum have good potential if teams behind projects can keep their promises on whitepaper without doing stupid things.

It is pretty much impossible to guess future profits. You may calculate using past experiences and just say "ok iota will make me rich in 2 years". But noone knows if its not going to be hacked next day. In cryptocurrencies, everything is possible, never forget it.
By the way my favourite coins are IOTA and Monero for future.

What I think?

This:

1. Stop calculating profits which you don't have generated so far.
2. Don't ask others (especially on a platform full of fud, shill and misinformation) where to invest. Do your own research. Take your responsibilty.

Why speculating a thing that is very impossible at the mean time it is like counting ng chicks but the eggs still are not hatching, It is really hard to predict if the said investment would be great and change after 3 to 4 years I might say go for a full time top 5 cryptos and invest and I think you can hope for a better future.

Hi Guys

What would you choose if you had to invest 3 btc right now:

A) all in with IOTA, you would have around 50.000 iotas more or less .

B) all in with OMG , you would have around 2400 omg.

c)1btc for IOTA or OMG .  and invest 2btc in a promise like viberate, elixir or obsidian and maybe they will do x 20-50  in 3 , 4 years...?

the goal is to have 500.000 usd in 3-5 years.......I know maybe its silly...
With option A if iota can reach in 3-5 years 5-10 dolars; profit=  between 250.000 - 500.000 usd
with option B if omg can reach in 3-5 years 300 usd, profit=  720.000
with option C i dont know.....

I dont want to split the investments ( I know that it is a risk) but I prefer all in now or option C.....

what do you think?

thanks! Wink

IMO, i think C would be a better choice there. Diversification should be something that you should be looking for especially long term.
You don't wanted to invest something at one basket, if one basket don't grow. You are stuck

With multiple basket, you know where you can cash out and swap for better gain

It is not worth assuming that innecesary risk. Split your investment in at least 6-10 coins to avoid future bad surprises.
CND, LINK, WTC, SNM, XVG, BNB, IOTA, WAVES, SHIFT, RAD, NEM, OMG, PIVX, ARK... you have a lot to choose...

I will change the question what would you prefer to have right now?

1. 50.000 IOTAS

2.  2.200 omg

I would like to read your answers

thanks

Given the change in question then I would prefer to have OMG, I think they have more potential for growth, however I don't think either will reach your target growth but I wish you luck.

For me before investing the main thing indeed should I see is teams and also a plan that they are carrying. 3 things or options you provide also is very good, but I am more sure to OMG where they have a level of plans and also the strength of the team is excellent. But I think within the next 3 years to reach $500,000 is not an easy thing, because sometimes everything can change in a very short time

Split to at least four shares and keep 50% in BTC. And as I think none of suggested coins will make huge %% profit in short time. You should look on ones outside of TOP-100.

I honestly dont see IOTA going anywhere within the next 3 years. OMG has somewhat of a chance of preforming well

is this all of your investment in crypto? if so, the rule of thumb should be 30-70% in BTC and the rest spread across as many promising coins as you are able to follow. definitely never all in one basket. good luck

thanks
No I have another amount in others coins. But I want to do the last move and I cant decide.
i see... but as also Moon was saying, anyone can shill a whatever coin for one's own interest. i'm sure you'll make the right choice, and if you really can't decide, splitting up your 3 btc will do just fine

I think going all in is the last thing you should do, going with promises isn't smart either.
Since these questions are asked every day I'm not going to bother listing coins that you could invest in, how about you take a few hours a day or a full week, whatever time you can and research different products and their markets?

I think you should make your own decision anyone will just recommend what they have stashed as this in alignment with their beliefs.
Thanks
I did my research,  i spent a lot of time but as more I read more difficult is to make decision.
