With ETH's plan to move over to POS, I wonder how long these machines will be useful for. Do you think the demand will be there or is there something Bitmain is banking on?

Bitmain is working on the creation of Antminer F3 - ASIC-miner for the extraction of Ethereum. Antminer F3 will be equipped with three motherboards in each of which will be installed on six devices for the production of Ethereum. Each board will have 32 DDR3 RAM modules with a capacity of 1 GB. According to a number of sources, the hasht of the device will be 200-220 MH / s, but with the specified specifications this indicator can be expected to be higher. In the world market the novelty will appear approximately in II-III quarter of this year. The price of Antminer F3 will be set at $ 2500- $ 3000.

Board with ddr3 ram and a capacity of 1G? Isn't it a bit low? If we make it to ddr3 with a capacity of 4G, I think it will mine faster than the previous one. Though if the device will have a 200-220 MH/s but the memory will be a bit low.

200-220 MH/s sounds good until everyone has one of these ASICS and the difficulty increases even further. Or Etherium decides to fork to counter ASICS and those with F3's are left with expensive heaters. Don't buy anything from Bitmain with the exception of their S9's unless you want to get burned.

i think Bitmain took a big risk by doing this! they should have done it a very long time ago when the ETH fork was far away and they knew ETh will stay around for a while and give them profit when miners buy their equipment. however, at this point in time the ETH fork to PoS is very close so their window of opportunity to sell their ASICs is very small!
i wonder even if there is enough people to invest in something like that. maybe if they could mine other coins with it...

That is so good to know, to having that much profit that we can earn at the same not too high investment that is needed. However, I think I'm not going to take that or engage to that because first of all there is no one that already try that to test and proven that it will much effective and resourceful. Maybe when there are some people that already use it and then testify that it will be much better by then maybe I go with that but before really engaged to that I do search and do some studies about it to make me some assurance.

On YouTube there is already a video with the work of these asics. I think it's a fake. Happy April, 1!

wow, that's a pretty reasonable price for those who like mining job. Currently ETH is attracting a lot of investors and a lot of other altcoins use their technology as a platform for development. We can see that ETH will be worth it and its cost will be $ 2,000 in 2018-2019. Peach excavators are a very good idea at the moment. I plan to buy a test excavator.
