and I've involved some of my family members with bitcoin since it dropped 17K yesterday, because I want them to feel and also live comfortably by owning bitcoin when experiencing financial problems.

Yesterday the price of BTC did not fall to $17k, it seems that you are quite confused as to what is actually happening. I hope that you have explained to your family members all the risks that come with investing in Bitcoin, because it is by no means a one-way street.

What do you think about bitcoin.

Asking a question like this in a bitcoin forum that exists since 2009 and where there are hundreds of such topics is really frivolous. For a member who is not a beginner, such questions are below any level of serious discussion.

Bitcoin is a very unique and complex financial technology. In terms of its functional existence, bitcoin is a brilliant breakthrough created to help many financial problems for its users.

Well depends on the the problem of the users, just a reminder that Bitcoin will not solve all the problem of humanity. It's not a magic bean that will suddenly the solution, just saying.

Just do your part with your friends and families, if they don't believed on bitcoin so be it.

And so just continue with your journey, I know that we want to help everyone around us, but we can do only as much.

Bitcoin does have a positive side for each of its users but we can't force people around us to try to use bitcoin because they will still choose the previous one. Maybe this is because they have to learn new things that they never thought of before, which makes many people not want to open themselves up to accept something new.

And even though bitcoin offers many positive points to its users, they will not learn immediately but look first at what they can get from bitcoin. Actually, it's good for them if they can find more info so they can know more about bitcoin before they use it.

And this is what I really feel when I have financial problems and also solve unexpected problems when there is no cash, far from ATMs and also banks, and all that I do when I really need it and only as needed.
I need to repeat this, Bitcoin isn't a free money where you can get in easy way and become a rich person in very quick except you're an early adopter where you can claim faucet more than 1-2K Satoshi for every minute. Right now faucet is still exist but there's no way you can make money from 1-10 Satoshi, maybe it's when Bitcoin price already hit a million or billion in the future.

You can make borderless payment using Bitcoin, but actually digital money can be used like that.

I agree with you on the free bitcoin issue
I think nothing is free in this world, dealing with money, like in this forum friends who earn by signing, selling altcoins exchanged for bitcoins, so one thing is impossible if you have bitcoins for free
faucet . we also have to buy a quota to claim it so we need funds

For positive or negative points, it all depends on each individual. But I think there are many positive points in owning bitcoins.

For every inventions, there's always a positive mindset towards such since it's aim is to introduce something new that could be globally accepted, bitcoin was Satoshi's success despite the efforts others have been given to introduce something new like digital currency, Satoshi begin with identifying the needs to which the people needs and how he could present it to the public for acceptance considering many factors that could aid for it's adoption, he makes it a digitally decentralized currency and accessible by everyone to invest on it.

Bitcoin is costly and not easy to come by anymore compared to the past years, when 100k per BTC comes I wonder what we will call it by then, because at sooner or later it will happen, there was a time where you can easily earn some Bitcoin playing bets or gamble on freebitco and other faucets in 2017 but its not worth the time anymore.

I got my first 0.5 Bitcoin through a pump and dump altcoin, I got lucky and sold the shit coin for Bitcoin, so OP you still need money to get Bitcoin, there is no other way around this. You also need banks to convert your BTC back to Fiat. I have a wife who doesn't understand a thing about Bitcoin and this scares me, if I die today all my Bitcoin will go to waste because she can't sell them and she is not ready to learn.

As Solosanz said, bitcoin is not free, to get it, you need fiat to do it. If you say that Bitcoin has helped you and your family members improve economically, then I would agree with you. But to say that Bitcoin helps you when you don't have cash, an ATM or a bank, I would disagree. Apart from the problem of needing money to invest in bitcoin, bitcoin is still not widely accepted, so paying with bitcoin will be a lot of trouble, secondly, if you don't have internet, you won't be able to use bitcoin. If you have internet, you can also use a bank account, no need for bitcoins.

so you make Bitcoin as your deposit or savings fund? or investment assets that you teach your family?
if your family understands, that's pretty good for you. but I am in a different family environment. everything is still fiat oriented. and explanations related to Bitcoin will be quite difficult to accept.
Maybe I'm not the only one with this problem. Even though I don't get support from my family, I will stick with the Bitcoin that I have.

and I've involved some of my family members with bitcoin since it dropped 17K yesterday, because I want them to feel and also live comfortably by owning bitcoin when experiencing financial problems. And keep it under my watch because they are family to keep them calm and patient because bitcoin is the best in long term storage.
