I lived in a rv for 3 months or better. It was quite nice. I chose to live in it since it was my grandfathers *who I lived with* because I had free electric, water, ect. I have some wonderful memories of RV's. You will too ^^

i'm thinking it's a car and home in one package. i don't have to pay rent. i don't have to pay a mortgage. i don't have to pay property tax. i don't have to pay utilities. i could travel across the country.

if you plan to trip no longer than 6 month,  think its fine, but more than that? maybe you should think about it, and for me, living move one by one across country will be very tired

Just make a SWOT and financial analysis and you will see where are you. Make a plan for at least 5 years ahead.

You have to pay for waste dumping, water, fuels (for movement - brutal MPG - and heating), battery replacement (admittedly years apart), you can't just park it anywhere without totalitarians taking your money by force, so you have to pay rent at RV parks & campsites...

And maintenance of repair. Not to mention many of these RV are ridiculous over price.

Cheaper buy a HUD home in one of the suburb area for less than 100k with less headache.
