What do you mean stop trading? They’re actually rumoured to implement trading on their platform as Elon Musk’s goal is likely have X to be a “super app” of some sorts. Elon seems to be a sort of “freedom” type of guy — with him being more lax with Twitter’s policies; this is evident with having the likes of Andrew Tate and Donald Trump unbanned.
Twitter was not a crypto trading platform so I think what he mean to stop the post about those but I'm not sure if I'm going to be impressed if they will implement trading there. I think I will still prefer Twitter to remain as social media site only because this makes them unique. He don't need to copy Facebook or to try harder to overcome it because he is still more superior than mark with all his business combined. If he want to, maybe he can acquire another website which is a trading platform.

I know it's another expense but he can surely gain the money that he used after some time because his many followers are going to support him by using the trading platform.

I really don't know what you mean. I use twitter to know the latest updates and many times I have made good profit by trading updates of various projects from twitter. Twitter is not a trading platform, it is a popular social site.

Same as I and I dont actually know what the Op is trying to say.

and I agree that twitter is one of the source for fast news neither for Crypto or Stock trading I followed couple of profile and they send fed decision in a second rather the news outside and it could be the opportunity when you guys are trader especially if you guys love candlestick and news at the same time hahahah
You will find many traders who follow various updates and trade within a candlestick, and most of the times these traders use Twitter to get quick updates. The news sites are very late in writing the news in detail, as a result of which the market already reacts before the news is out. So there are some Twitter accounts for traders that crypto traders follow to get quick updates. Now it is a question whether these accounts will exist on Twitter in the coming days, because it is very difficult to predict Elon Musk's decision.

I think from a select 1% followers, most of the posts on Twitter about crypto or stocks are nonsense or they are just complete scams. Its one of the worst places you can go to get trading advice. You should follow certain people who report on news such as AutismCapital (strange name, i know) but don't blindly follow anyone who claims to be a professional trader.

The worse is all the scams which promose you 2x as much BTC as you send them over. Been going on for years and people are still getting scammed this way. Another scam are the fake ZkSync or LayerZero airdrops which are not out yet but they try and steal your metamask funds.

Now Elon Musk is the owner of Twitter and Elon Musk is always unpredictable, so if he wants to not be able to manage accounts like whale alert on Twitter, then the whale alert group has to accept that. The coming days are very important to see what Twitter aka 'X' decides.

People without any problems will find another place where they can communicate on crypto topics.
Elon Musk knows how to make money, and if he made such a decision, then it means something by itself.

This is not a serious issue. It's all about who has the power, he will be in control. Elon's thinking will not match ours, so hard to tell what he is thinking. Let him do his thing as X belongs to him now. We are just bystanders on this subject.
Who has control over the product, then he has the right to change anything including what Elon Musk bought, namely Twitter which rebranded to "X".

Elon Musk is a smart man, he knew that Twitter had good potential in the future and he bought it.
Then he transformed it into what he wanted it to be.

See how much it has changed and he will integrate crypto as well.
Dogecoin will probably be one of the accepted payments.

Now X or Twitter gives rewards to users who are active and have many followers.
But I don't know what the mechanism is, but it's already in effect.

Is it a good move or a bad move? Still uncertain about it. But as the platform belongs to Elon, he can do whatever he likes. We have no power over it. Trading is a thing that happens in the market but not in Twitter/X. So let's keep things where it belongs. And it's not going to affect the market as far as I know. People will find other platforms to keep their business going.

I am one who has learned about some intricacies as concerns trading from reading whale alerts/signals on some social media sites, but mostly on Twitter.  I have grown to accept it as a great social site until its sale or do I call it change of ownership, and now, with a redesign of its logo to just, 'x' by its owner, Elon Musk.
He has also in addition to having the logo redesigned, opted for new policies that would see the social media site Twitter, stop crypto trading or stock trading on the social site. What do you think about the move ?

Also, I am asking this simple questions to know if any one has an idea about whale alerts/signals on the social media site stopping too?

What do you think about stopping crypto trading or stock trading on Twitter?

I haven't heard about it before. Other than the logo change, I haven't noticed anything yet, but I haven't been following Elon Musk much lately. Maybe I missed something. Stop trading completely or stop signaling to whales. I didn't quite understand what it was about.
There is an expression that says "a new broom sweeps a new one." He has the right to do what he sees fit. Maybe he wants this platform to be more social and familial.

This decision will completely vary from person to person. If you ask me then yes I was using cryptos to get insights about the coins. Sometimes I used to follow big whales calls on particular coin and invests in them. Most of the time the whale’s calls gave me profits also. So till now, I would say, Twitter hasn’t done anything worse to me. Now regarding the change of ownership, then yes Elon musk can do changes on the platform, but he can’t change the calls and the news. So for me new owner won’t be a bigger problem.

Elon Musk is a businessman and is looking for an increase in the market value of Twitter, so all policies that bring him more income are welcome. The question can be asked about whether restricting cryptocurrencies will bring him income? I do not think so, I do not expect a change in these policies soon.
We have several safe places to discuss about bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and trading strategies. We have this forum and REDDIT, and you can go to any other place as long as you want news, you will find it, but Twitter is the easiest due to its huge account base.

Twitter has always been the easiest for me. What also shocks me more is the fact that Elon is behaving like he has issues with cryptocurrency. Isn't he a supposed supporter of Doge coin?

Well, whatever be his new policies, he is only going to make Twitter loose more customers/users, let's still observe how the implementation would be effected, only then will I know if being a fan of the social media company is worth it or not.

I have no idea what kind of whale alert you are talking about but if you have the username of whoever you are following that send such signal as you are asking, you can send a pm to the user who may probably know better. But what I know is twitter is not usually the trading platform for that, maybe a user chooses to send out signal to followers. Reddit is more active in trading signals from what I observe.

Whale alerts and other cryptocurrency stuff could be found on other social media platforms, if he wanted to stop those kind of thing on his platform, it can't be helped.
If I'm not mistaken, there are groups in facebook who shares their own thoughts regarding about trading but it's rare since most of the time, experienced traders are arrogant and just want to belittle newbie traders.

I have noticed the twitter logo was changed but I don't know what exactly you are saying. As far as I know, Twitter is not a trading platform. Twitter is the best social site to check the latest updates of a project and one of the important thing to analyze the market fundamentally. There's no way we can stop a thing that is never happened. So maybe what he mean is to stop all the trading signals on Twitter. I believe he won't stop crypto related tweet in Twitter because he held some Bitcoins, not until he sold it. Whatever is true, the owner is the only who can decide.

You want more censorship? Then you shouldn't be in Bitcoin Wink

People should be allowed to say whatever they want online as long as it doesn't intentionally harm other people.

Don't get me as someone who likes crypto signals, I just think nobody should be told what to do.

Ever heard of ignore/block? Smiley

I only know twitter integrates crypto and stock price chart preview from tradingview site, I never know if they have direct trading feature. If it's discontinued now, then I don't mind.
About trading signals, it's only run by users, not twitter's own interest. However, since Elon Musk seems to support free speech, such tweets I don't think will stop.

What do you mean? can you post a source?

I don't think people are trading on twitter/X yet because all I see from searching are articles from this year indicating plans/groundwork for a trading hub - which may/may not include rumors, mind you.

or do you mean people buying and selling through DMs by themselves? (high risk, don't try)

Elon is unpredictable and Twitter now are going through a lot of transitions and changes, but I still think they will still follow the trend and if crypto is the trend, we might expect them to follow it as well. I just don't understand your mean to stop trading on Twitter? Do you mean restricting people from posting anything with regards to trading? Then I think many will disappoint as Twitter becomes more centralized where they tell people what to post only. Let's see if Twitter will be more innovative in the future and wait for their stand when it comes to cryptocurrency.

Its Elons site or ownership and on whatever things that he would be planning in his own company then there's nothing we can do on what are the rules and changes that he would really be imposing into Twitter/X
and there's nothing we can do but to deal with it. Other approach of people? Of course they would really be finding place on which they could freely be able to give out those trading related or investment related kind of post or those signals like whale alerts or something. We dont know on whats on the mind of Elon if he would really be deciding about on stopping these kind of post or this kind of approach.
We dont actually know on how their brain works and what are the ideas and reasoning that storming out inside on which it would really be leading out with those kind of odd decisions and other approach which is something that shouldn't really be happening but well this is something that a possibility could happen specially if the owner of said platform would really be making out decisions something like this.
People would really be hoping out on other platforms on which they would really be able to see these alerts and mostly this would really be on messaging apps or other socmed.
