I think it's pretty exciting. Even if I don't get one, I love every invention that brings us that much closer to Star Trek.

Anyone figured out how to replicate Earl Grey tea yet? Hot.

Pretty cool, but pretty ugly. I don't really need to be that connected to the internet at all stages of my day. Plus just if (when?) Google start implementing ads

What worries me is this: most cell phones are known to have backdoors which can turn them into listening devices for certain government entities; in the case of google glass, which always has a front-facing camera attached to your face, you can imagine the possibilities opened up here; having eyes and ears everywhere, without resorting to public cameras, but through citizens without their knowing.  Google is certainly not innocent in this respect.

Aside from that, it looks pretty neat, but certainly doesn't have enough functionality to justify a price tag over $150; I could get a cheap tablet and duct tape for that price and attach the tablet to my face Tongue

Google glass makes me lol. Glasses, seriously? What's next? An apple watch?

They're both trying to pan off lack of innovation with experimental gimmicks which are becoming more and more invasive.

Hi there!

I wanted to make a thread about Google's new product, Google Glass. For you who doesn't know what they are, it's basicly a pair of glasses with a little monitor right to your eye. Google hasn't released any specifications but you would be able to take photos, share your view through the glasses, send text messages, calls etc.

Rumors are going among sites that they will be launched in the early spring of 2014, with a price of $300.

Discuss what you would do with them if you considered buying a pair  Grin

You can check out everything about them at http://www.google.com/glass/start/ .
