Binance is one of the new exchange that become the most successfully exchange because just 1 years operated have already amillion user. We can see this from mobile app which downloaded by more than 1 million user. They also keep expand to others country to keep development so Binance will be better and keep bigger. We should be use exchange that has good reputation and regulation. Others good exchanges is Huobi, Bittrex, Okex, Poloniex, Gate.io, Bibox . More exchange also will be more user because each exchange also promote their product on the internet. More user make possible the demand of crypto also increase.

More than 200 crypto exchanges in the market now and this is good thing to increase the crypto community, and between them, i will chooce according to their trading volume, customer support, high security and they has trigger order. These exchanges are Binance, Bitmex and Okex. I dont use decentralized exchange because the trading fee is high and their trading volume is lower.

The best exchanges will have a team profile with photos and videos.

Really? Do binance have this too? I have not seen such or maybe I have not really taken my time to search on it.

I would need to know where this exchange is registered. With telephone, email and physical address.
Concerning exchange itself, it must have real volumes. It will be very easy to spot manipulation with volumes.
Very responsive support, does not have to be instant, but has to have 24h deadline.
Reasonable commissions on trades and withdrawals. That is the reason i left HITbtc, because they became mad with their withdrawal commissions.

the first thing that i would to know is the company behind that exchange, get more information about the teams
i wont risk my money to new exchange with no good reputation teams

but top priority should be how secure that exchange
also support team, i ever had many bad experience with support team, fast response support team (y) would be great for investor

How do you feel about the appearance of a new crypto-exchange, which for you is an indicator of confidence in it. What tools are necessary for you, what is not present on others. Is it important for you to have a centralized or decentralized exchange? And what is the most convenient exchange for you now?
Thank you in advance for your response.

I would say that security should be the top priority here so that it can gain confidence from the users. Perhaps we should really get the price real time as some of the exchanges now are too shitty slow. Not fake volumes whatsoever. I'm not really sure about the centralize or decentralise because its up for debate. Binance and OKex and Bitfinex are the most convenient exchange for me right now because they have met my criteria so far and I don't have any problems using their trading site because its fast and withdrawal is no problem as well.

The best exchanges will have a team profile with photos and videos. The ones that hide behind an avatar are either scams or will probably close down due to the increasing competition.

A new exchange needs to have a public person doing youtube interviews and tradeshow tours to prove their serious intentions

I've so many fake ICO with photos and videos that took money and do not do nothing.  Great idea about interviews, I was planning to make a meet-up or ... maybe conference in Berlin. What do you think? Will it give more trust?

Yohodl.com, great questions!
I'm building exchange too and what i've figured out is that:
 - there is a lot of hype around exchange performance. But no one understands what millions of transactions per second means and how many transaction could be made in real life exchange per second.
 - people do not not believe that exchange without FEES could be profitable and people do not trust exchanges without fees!
 - security is very important thing and it's very important how you'll show your ability to protect exchange assets from hacker attacks
 - people behind exchange the #3 factor.

oh and don't forget about marketing. Posting here is only one small little part of the hard marketing work.

Am I right?  Or i've forgot something?

Well for me look and feel of the exchanges are of secondary priority.

For me, first priority in exchanges should me ease of doing trades, which should allow to put trades of minimum value along with wide range of assets to trade with maximum pairings of the assets. Exchange should also support major world currencies, via direct deposits and withdraws of fiats. And also support of charts and live feeds, which is very essential part of trading to be available.

My second priority would be regarding security of assets along with the privacy of the user's vital data, and how exchange is capable of handling hackers and malware to safeguard its data.

And most important part, customer support, which is very vital for every traders. So basically along with email or chat support, a telephonic support would be good point of interest as a customer support.

First of all, you should pay attention to the jurisdiction of registering the exchange. Information should be available for public analysis. Certificates of information security can also play a role in assessing reliability. For example, the certificate FIPS PUB 140-2, developed in the US.

Communication, online presence, security are few things making an exchange looking reliable. For the tools, I would like to see some news from the market displayed on the trading dashboard (something like an embedded widget RSS) aggregating search engines and feelings from social networks (similar to Microsoft flow) and secondly a feature to receive an email alert (for example once the order is complete, once a coin hits xxx$,...) and finally, anything good to automate.

Very helpful answer, thank you very much! What do you think about online chat for traders, is there a need for it?

You're welcome.
The few times I saw an online chat on an exchange it was active with multiple people, so I guess people are interested to participate talking with traders. Something good to think is why not something like "a social network"? Where traders have their own wall and can connect and interact with other traders. There are surely a few open source projects to use as a base to build it.

Decentralise exchangers are not good for trading the crypto currencies as they will put nay prices they want and will dump very hard over there. For example fork delta and ether delta are the kind of exchangers. I have seen many projects failing their prices at these exchangers.

Then there comes the exchanger like Binance which attracts me the more and is perfect in all the sense. They have no problems of withdraw and deposit all the time. They are active and having at most security over there. The UI is well furnished and gives me no stress while trading.

Thats the ideal exchanger I guess and that is the way it shovel be always.

Thanks for the answer! Yes, Binance is really very good. I like its version that is installed on the mac. Would you like an online chat on a binance where traders can communicate with each other?

There are criteria I look for when using an exchange.
Currencies usually go on different exchanges, so I have traded on quite a few.
A quality exchange should possess some qualities, including, but not limited to:
-Security: Levels of security varies from centralized to decentralized exchanges. You should be guaranteedbthat your assets are safe, secured and resistant to hacks and malwares.

Large market volume also helps to build the value of tokens on sale as it is exposed to a large market.

-Efficiency: Speed is important in trading, with the volatility in the market, every second is vital.
A good exchange shouldn't be prone to lagging.

Affordable: Transaction fees should be minimized, as low as possible.
But good and quality service, should be get it's penny's worth. It should always be a considerable amount, or free as in a few.

I usually get excited about a new exchange, especially when it has good qualities, and to attract users, it usually offers bonuses and discounts

Centralized or decentralized, as long as it meets my billing, I go with it. I trade mostly on IDEX, hitbtc, binance etc.
I recently trading for the first time on HOTBIT. It was a streamlined transaction. I would recommend it to anyone.
Happy Trading!

Thank you for your responses!
Regarding discounts and bonuses on new exchanges, how willing to open a large deposit, new exchanges often turn out to be a scam, by what criteria do you assess that the exchange is reliable?
