Topic: What do you think about these hyped projects for 2023? (Read 551 times)

I've heard all of what you said. There have even been purchases...these are the top coins on the leaderboard. Some projects will have some entries, which will use some coins as an investment method. Matic and BNB were prominent in some activities last year. The price of coins in the crypto market is all through hype, and the price gradually increases through the promotion of some well-known people.

We're still in a bear market and it's hard to say 2023 will return to a bull market. Still mainly trying to invest in cryptocurrencies in the current period, BTC is still the king of cryptocurrencies, and other altcoins are hard to replace. The hype project time is limited, and almost most of the hype currencies are slowly losing their value.

I don’t think anything is going to do particularly well in 2023 due to the global financial situation. Traditional markets are a mess, there is the war in Ukraine, we are in a recession.

Now is a good time to accumulate though, things will go up in 2 years or so. If you have patience then yes, now is a good time to start buying assets.

If you've done thorough research then go for it, buy whatever tokens/coins you believe in.

So which one of them do you think will perform better in future?

of the coins you mentioned only BTC, ETH, BNB and Dogecoin which I'm sure will be good in the future. Dogecoin doesn't have a product but support and how many services use this coin as payment make sure it will be good in the future, BNB with Binance exchange, of all BTC is still king and hard to replace.

Things that should happen in the future but it doesn't go smoothly and there will be many problems that will arise later. but it will be a big thing if this goes fast or by 2024 everyone is transacting with BNB or BTC then. but we can see for ourselves what happens in the future.

If it is related to several coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and also BNB, then their chances are still high to survive in a bear market and then go through difficult times like this. They have high value and trust, that is why it is no matter if choosing them.

Sometimes, hype coins only apply in the same year or in the same season. However, if the era or year has changed, the hype coins will be normal and will soon be replaced by coins from the latest projects. because of that, it is very risky regarding investing in hype projects. Maybe some of them will still survive and have a value like DOT, but no one will guarantee it.

Not familiar as well with the other projects so I’m also focus on this one as I’m hoping for the fast recovery this year for those top coins and with BTC as the leader, we might start to see green candles again this new year. 2023 is full of hope and positive thinking for crypto, we are done for a full year bear trend so maybe this is a perfect time now to start the bull trend, let’s hope for this and hope that no more fud for this year.

If one can invest in Hype at the perfect time then it is a matter of great luck for him.  Because very few people are able to invest in hype at the perfect time . Hype behaves a bit like gambling.  It makes someone rich in a very short period of time and takes everything away from someone in a very short period of time . Perfect timing is a big deal for Hype
However, if an investor or trader buys a coin during hype, you have to be very careful because the risk of losing money is very large, even though it is true that if you can take a position correctly, you can generate huge profits in a short time.
However, market conditions and price fluctuations are very fast when there is hype, so it is difficult to determine.
My advice would actually be better and not have a big risk if we choose a coin that is still at a relatively low price before the hype occurs.
We just need to wait some time and assume the coin we buy is a long-term savings or investment.
That way there is very little chance of losing money and the profits you get when hype occurs actually have very large multiples.
That is why you shouldn't buy during the hype and you should be buying during the regular period like right now. If you buy at the bear period then you should be making a good profit and that should be enough, if you keep on investing during the bear period then we are going to just end up seeing people who would be richer during bull period.

However, if you wait until it starts to go up, you could end up buying at the peak and then just make pure loss overall. There is no point in buying after it goes over 60k again, buy now so you would already have a lot of profit when it's over 60k. That is the only smart way of making money and having valuable assets overall.

Always try to avoid hype.  Because hype is limited for a certain time and goes away very quickly.  So if you wait for the hype or invest in believing the hype then you will never achieve anything big.  So invest there which will give you profit in long run.  It can bring you something big.  Hype can't do that Hype may or may not return you a large amount in a short period of time, but it is highly unlikely because you never know when the hype will come and go.  It will only fool you
Yet, it gives you profit somehow if you are in perfect timing but you are right, they will just stay for a very short period of time and then be gone.
Many people are looking for hyped coins thinking of a huge return, many people become lucky but many also had lost their money quickly. This kind of investment strategy is not really advisable but unfortunately, there are a lot of people still doing this. Of course, it can't be denied that many also earn a lot of money from doing this which also gives interest to others.

Every once in a while I do some research here and there, to see which crypto projects are more hyped and talked about. Remember, I'm not saying these are good projects or have strong fundamentals, just that I believe they are more hyped than the others. So they can be a good investment, or a bad one.
Yeah, investing into new altcoin projects is simply gambling these days. I guess there could be only 10% chances for anyone to get into a right coin which may grow over the time but unfortunately most of the times, almost all the new coins are losing its value slowly either in BTC value or in both USD and BTC value. Usually I do prefer to calculate my profits in BTC value hence I hate trying new projects basically.

Still, if we are lucky then we grabbed dogecoins before Elon started pumping then we could have easily achieved 20x profits but I am not seeing anyone did that but I am sure all long term holders might have got benefitted from dgecoins along with Elon Musk.

I agree with your points.
Hype is only a factor, out of 100 factors you consider when investing. And it mostly works if you think short time (which I probably do). But remember, it's not insignificant. Learn to use it properly, and you can take advantage of its power.  Wink

Yes, those who can catch the hype he is the gainer . And that much money can profit from it.  And he gets profit several x of his amount. Investing in hype has high risk as well as high profit potential . I consider it a form of gambling.  But I personally don't invest in hype.  Because I don't have huge extra money with which I can take risk. that is the real point

Before answering your question, I would like to ask you 1 thing, what makes you think 2023 is a bullish year? Because if it weren't for a bull year, no coin would be hyped, even if it was bitcoin. So if you can be sure that next year will be a bullish year, we can discuss with you which project you mentioned will be hyped. But no matter what 2023 will look like, I still recommend focusing on bitcoin from now on rather than any altcoins.
Well I don't necessarily think of 2023 as a bullish year (like 2021 was). But I do think that the crypto market, like most other markets, will form a bottom and after that there will be a long sideway / slightly bullish / slightly bearish market that can last for years before we see a considerable bullish market again.

I'm not hugely excited about 2023, but might invest a bit if the prices hit my targets.

1. The obvious ones which are almost always hyped: BTC, ETH, BNB, Doge, Matic and ADA. We all know about them, so let's focus mostly on the others.
2. Polkadot (DOT)
3. ApeCoin (APE)
4. Dash 2 Trade (D2T): This one's not still in exchanges, but supposedly it's a strong crypto platform, and hyped.
5. The Graph (GRT)
6. NEAR Protocol (NEAR)
7. Decentraland (MANA)
If the market will start to recover in the year 2023, I am expecting that all metaverse projects will start to make some noise. But for me, smart contract platforms will also stay, just like Polkadot (if based on the list). I'll still choose Ethereum.
Decentraland already proven how this project is quality during the early days of how metaverse or NFT started to become trending before. I believe Decentraland will still here and will become a big player.

the coin that's in the niche of gaming still could have the chance of regaining their glory like mana and the likes definitely could always recover their value but I highly doubt coin that's coming from NFT arts which everyone already know that it has lost majority of its value beyond any recovery since they've lost more than 90% of value could ever make a recovery. I'd definitely put my bets in coins like matic and some gaming coins rather than some random nft arts coin honestly.

Well, I'm not going to avoid them but rather be cautious enough and study the behavior of the coin and never keep them longer in your wallet but sell them when it pumps immediately.

I understand people who would like to check out coins that are not at the very top, anything out of top 10 (and even many in the top 10) do not look good to me and I understand people may have some desire to buy something that is very low ranked and ride the wave until it becomes huge and make insane profits. That's a dream many people have and because bitcoin can't give you 100x returns, it is understandable that people may want to look for that somewhere else.

I am not doing it, I never felt safe doing such a thing and even on my highest paid periods I just didn't feel like it was justified, felt like throwing money to trash. But, that is my personal opinion and I am fine with others doing riskier things, it is fun to follow them and see how it turns out.

I agree that the chances of any community other than bitcoin to rise is very low altcoins usually move up depending on the price of bitcoin. Hyped projects in 2023 are less certain no one can say how high they will rise if you want to buy hyped which is not currently listed on binance. Platforms like bitcoin and ethereum are considered decentralized and very secure bitcoin is currently the most popular and widely used currency.

What will perform well in the future is bitcoin Grin

That's for sure because bitcoin will surely attract the attention of many people, especially if the price can go up very high, even higher than the last ATH.

Meanwhile, other coins will compete with each other and DOT and Mana have the potential to increase compared to the coins you mentioned. But I can't be sure either because next year is still a mystery to me and I can't yet feel where the market is going next year.

In all likelihood, yes. Only bitcoin, as a long-term asset, can be as certain as possible. The other altcoins are too dependent on various factors, from developers to smart contracts that can be hacked. In my opinion, all of the altcoins on this list are not suitable for long-term investing.

NEAR and MANA are getting active now, many speculations arise that these projects will show interesting growth once the market recovers. If we do research on the internet, all we can see is always positive. Though we have no clue among these hyped coins to survive the huge drop, may choosing any of them is very risky. But I don't think it was a wrong idea of putting a few bucks into any of them as long as you can accept losses. So, its up to us to take the risk or just choose Bitcoin.

I think Ethereum, Matic & Dot are likely to to outperform in the next bull run because all of them have attracted huge investment on their ecosystem. All of them have done so much development to improve their network and still they have enormous potential of growth because crypto space is becoming more inclusive & extensive as new dApps & Apps are being added with every coming day.

Current prices if these alts are very attractive to make investment for long term.

DOT and APE will be a great projects that will bring more incomes to investors that will take their time to invest money in this bear season. Those two projects will surely improve higher like Ethereum and binance in the future and, this is the best time to take the risk to invest and have full confident of winning something big from those projects because, their teams will do everything possible to ensure their investors benefits from the project in the community.

Projects that depend in some way on hype are just a bubble that will disappear at any time, so yes, you should avoid investing in hype projects because if you are not a good follower of the news and one of the previous ones in entering and investing in the hype coin, you will lose your capital in a jiffy or in the short term, so I do not prefer investing in any of the currencies mentioned by the OP because they are very risky, but if he wants to invest in more money than he needs, he can try his luck, and among the best hype coins that he mentioned are NEAR, APE and MANA, and in my opinion these are the best currencies who can invest them and maybe get lucky and make good profits from them.
Yet it was too risky but many people are just taking granted the risk and still buying these coins.
Metaverse and  NFTs projects are some examples of them but as we can see, many people are trusting these coins and buying more of them. There is actually a huge profit in these for early investors but of course, not all of them give such a thing, and investing in them is just like gambling with 50/50 chances of earning.

  - All the cryptos you mentioned Sir use the hyped method, and it seems impossible that every crypto in this industry will not use this method.

Now, in my opinion, according to the coins you specified, the one that will lead here that can drop the price value immediately is Ape if I base it on its graph chart in the market.

You might never know OP that these coins are also giving huge profits to the investors if they got lucky. I'm not saying all of them but several times especially during Bullrun many people got crazy with them and earn a lot of money in a short period of time. In the eyes of long-term holders these coins are bad and ignored but those who come and take higher risks, they'll somehow looking for hypes coins due to such thinking - earning more and becoming rich.

Well, it is really not a good idea but if you have that risk appetite, then go for it. It actually depends on us as it lies in our decision-making. In fact, even holding potential coins guarantees nothing especially if you are too emotional.

There is no guarantee that 2023 will be a year of the bulls, so making predictions about which projects will be hyped is unnecessary. But if you want to find a coin to invest in the long term, for the next bull season, I agree with you to choose bitcoin and maybe ETH. Only by holding these top 2 coins in the market can you make a profit, don't join the shitcoin hype because chances are you'll lose rather than profit.
totally agree with your opinion buddy, there won't be a bull market in 2023, it will still be the same as in 2022 maybe even worse. Several economic analyzes have said that the situation that year was entering the year of the economic crisis, which of course would make many people have to do a number of priorities.
it must be remembered that purchasing power will also decrease due to bad financial conditions, causing crypto to be affected.
in such a situation it is wiser to invest the funds you have in bitcoin, ethereum, BNB which will provide benefits in time.

Good list indeed but if things won't be better for this industry next year, I guess things might be affected for these projects in particular with their outcome. There are times wherein projects being released has huge potential but were just being pulled by the market downfall or the bearish trend. So if there will be no recovery to be seen next year, most of these projects might won't succeed as well. But this is not to conclude, sometimes despite of market trend, a project performs well still with their public sale especially if it really has that 'hype' in this industry. Probably I'd check some of these on the first quarter but would still wait for things to recover.

Which altcoin will be the star of the next bull, yes, this is the right question. Rather than talking about the same coins, it is a good discussion to guess the stars and to talk about the reasons. A lot of investors have seen what Matic has been up to this past bullish season, I think I think about that potential in Polkadot. They provide a lot of really useful multichain services. I already have at least a few of the list you provided, let's see how it goes.

I think mana and apecoin. These are metaverse tokens and projects which are gonna explode when the whole world adopts on the world of metaverse system where almost all industries are gonna work out on 2 to 3yrs from now. I think when these are moving already everyone will noticed the effect on the market.

For those projects for sure the first choice is a must. After that, Polkadot and ApeCoin are "okay" to try. Polkadot because it has smart contract and it can be used for several things that also means for more adoptions and more stuff to be make under this smart contract, ApeCoin and BAYC is widely known for bit of long time, but the recent investigation of BAYC makes a red sign for this ApeCoin and you should be aware with that.

I strongly believed in all the layer0,1, 2, and 3 projects which will be much hyped in 2023, and mostly I am confident in optimism and arbitrum, so I think 2023 will be the year of those projects, and you had already shown many of them which are good too like I studied Polkadot as well, they will be much potential.

In fairness, all mentioned do have "potential" and it now depends on who will remain standing strong regardless of te market situation.

Just let's be clear here that saying there is a "potential" means it shows it is capable to develop into something big in the future but still, it is subject to pure prediction and speculation as no one knows what will happen in the future especially if you referring to a specific year.

I won't mention any specific projects you should follow but it's good to spend time on where the "hype" of those projects came from.

Hello everyone.
Every once in a while I do some research here and there, to see which crypto projects are more hyped and talked about. Remember, I'm not saying these are good projects or have strong fundamentals, just that I believe they are more hyped than the others. So they can be a good investment, or a bad one.
So which one of them do you think will perform better in future? If you have any opinion for (or against) anyone of those, I'll be glad to hear it. Smiley

I don't know if those are hyped projects. For me "hyped" means new and everyone is talking about it but the projects that you have listed are all big and established already so i think the hype-phase of them is already over, which is a good thing in my opinion. From the projects included in your list i only really took a look into NEAR and the Graph. Back then i even tried to get into the pre-sale of The Graph but sadly i failed to get an allocation. Back then the public sale price was 0,03 per token. At the moment we are at around 0,06$ per token so this could be a good entry point. Don't for get though that the seed sale price per graph was only 0,003$ per token, so those big VC's probably still have a heavy bag that they could dump anytime.

I think Apecoin will start to face its drop and will be out on the top ranking because of what its major project BAYC might face against SEC.
Just take it for example when XRP faced a lawsuit by SEC, even if we've been through the bull run, XRP stayed stagnant and never broke back to its former ATH. And that's why I think Apecoin will also have the same fate if this thing against SEC and its main project BAYC will not be solved.
If that would pass and SEC ruled that Bored apes would be securities, it would blow my mind. Because that would mean that most likely every nft project would be security. Well maybe not free mints like crypto punks but most of them anyway. And it would be even more stupid then ruling that pokemon cards are securities.

I haven't seen any BAYC advertisement during the sale where they would even hint that there would be profits or that this would be a way about making money and that's what SEC is looking for.
Imho they started from a wrong project. There are ton of questionable nft sales out there that wouldn't need as much research.
There really are questionable projects in the market these days and during the bull run. SEC will be reviewing most of them and they'll be after them.
That's why as for the BAYC and Apecoin, we know that both of them are connected to each other so a bang of bad news for the other, hits the other and that's why I think Apecoin would be out of the choice if we're still talking about hype and pumps for next year.
Also, the pump for these projects were done and we commonly see projects that have pumped already would unlikely to repeat by next year or so.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
It's not clear which one will perform well in the next year each project always expands on what its aim is but I'm still not sure about any altcoin so I'll go through all of them and don't think it will get any better, of course altcoins after the hype are always there this bigger decline is more likely to be irreversible especially now that many NFT-based ones are being developed which are clearly shitcoins.

It's only bitcoin that I trust, but that's why I have my doubts about altcoins even though they will have some hype going forward, I believe dumps are bound to happen.

Firstly, if you believe that the coins you mentioned first like BTC, ETH, and BNB... are the ones that will definitely be hyped. I would recommend putting most of your assets in those potential coins.
The rest, I don't put my trust in any of the altcoins you mentioned, to me, they are potential altcoins but too old to invest in. I will not reinvest in old projects that are in the abyss like them. The probability for them to recover is too low, if I invest in altcoins, I will wait for new better altcoins, where there are more chances of being hyped.

Umm, most of them are well known in the crypto space. I think most of the users have heard about all of them which means they are in the buzz and they are going to keep hitting market in positive ways. They are not some random names so definitely they are worth investing. Though it's not much advisable to invest a lot of money into alts, I would be segregating small amounts in all of them along with big share in the bitcoin for the long term hodlings. The long term hodling may not be feasible in the alts but we can always try some trades now and then.

For what it comes to OPs list:

3. ApeCoin (APE)
A wild card. I have been seriously thinking of buying this. People who buy BAYCs are rich. They would also buy apecoin depending on the utility of it. And when they buy they buy a lot.

Quote
5. The Graph (GRT)
6. NEAR Protocol (NEAR)
These are on my list too. Some coders that i respect hinted me about graph when it came but i never got around of hodling it.

I will definitely avoid some random NFTs based coin that's coming from an art, I mean mana is okay considering it is a game, it has finished product and this means the coin itself have utilities but the other coins that's coming from NFT arts like some random rocks and characters will definitely did you no good in the long term, I think the coin that's gonna be rising quite fast is mana considering how much value it has lost before.

I do not think those listed will be pumped hard in 2023, we are still in a bearish market and I believe it will last until the end of month of 2023.  I would consider accumulating the list of coin except MANA.  I do not know, I don't feel comfortable investing in that project.

APE might not be able to survive the drop because many realized already the real value of this NFT and for sure many are also suffering from big losses especially when they buy during the most hyped time for APE. Anyway, if they are being hyped project before with their great technology, I’m pretty sure they will survive this bear market and will rise again, with this i think DOT can be more valuable in 2023.

APE had not gone through a bull run market yet. I think the team will do its best to make it alive for now until the next bull cycle. It's usually the case to make more money before they will finally rugged the next investors who came at the peak of the bull cycle.

DOT is somewhat like SOL I don't think it will also come up. Although its value will climb as it is, its rank will continue to decline.
Matic I think is going to be one of the best performer by the time the market calms down when it approaches the next bull run.

Aped had been pumped hard already so I think Ape will less likely to get much this time.  But for not regretting not investing in APE for the possible purpose, I think I will still allocate some funds for the purpose of what if.

We are still in the bear market and it is hard to say how long the crypto winter will last.
Yes, it is still in the bearish season. The end of this bearish is probably in 2024, when we have BTC halving. It can be predicted although no guarantee about it.

Personally, in the current period, I try to invest mainly in crypto, the survival of which I am quite confident, i.e. BTC, ETH or BNB. I will think about investing in hyped projects when there are signs of a trend change.
Of course, BTC and ETH are always the best options for investment because they are the strongest crypto coins. But BNB seems not quite secure after we heard about some bad issues related to the Binance exchange. I am afraid that the same case as FTX to repeat again on another exchange, including Binance.

Remove with name called "APE"

You all-good, If you avoid any kind coin with name planet, animal, NFTs & etc will gonna be good without losing for long-term. All of the f*cking NFTs project image with rock and something like "APE" should be avoided.

What you are gonna get is, losss.

Well, I already own one among the list you provided, that is not because of the hyped according to you but because of the fundamentals and the work the team is putting in on the project.
I don't usually invest because of hyped because i believe it is not a strong reason for investment, so many projects with lots of hype don't usually last before they become obsolete. So, it is better to invest in a project with utility and provides services that will be useful in the space, and I believe Near protocol will be that project.

I don't plan on joining the wave of hype projects next year since I'm assuming that it would be still bear market next year and the price action won't be good for most of the tokens including those hype coins. Just like others, Collecting fundamentally strong coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and others would be a great move headed towards the upcoming bull market. I also think it's pretty early to guess what kind of future does the hype coins will go in the future. Those hypecoins should be aligned with the trend for them to rise. The hype won't make a coin rise during the bear market.

Avoid hyped shitcoins. Hypes comes hypes goes. Most often with price decline big time. 99% coins hyped in 2017 are dead now or underperformed during 2021 bull market (EOS, NEM, NEO, VET). Today, when 2022 is close to end, after 600 days of bear market, when we are close to recession, I suggest to skip all shitcoins. No matter how hyped are they. DCA bitcoin now. Thats the best strategy you can have now because if its not the end of bear market - BTC will dump less than shitcoins, if its the end of bear market and we about to start bull run - BTC will outperform alts in the first phase (before new ATH). Alts most often kicks in in the middle of cycle. so hold bitcoin and wait for new ATH, than flip to altcoins and check whats hyped right now.

Remember, I'm not saying these are good projects or have strong fundamentals, just that I believe they are more hyped than the others. So they can be a good investment, or a bad one.

This time I found these:

So which one of them do you think will perform better in future? If you have any opinion for (or against) anyone of those, I'll be glad to hear it. Smiley

================
P.S: Please note that I know all about hype. I don't claim that crypto projects grow based on hype, like some thought. I just need info about these projects, or your opinion about any of them. Thanks.
