I think in 5 months the price would have increased to 370's with a new floor of 300's, Christmas and halving around the corner is why I think the increase. That will be of course depend whether the few current problems are sorted smoothly by then.

i think if the steady growth of bitcoin price continues as it is like now it can be over $400 by 5 months and i don't think it can be anything lower than $300.

but at the same time there is always the possibility of price going to an all time highs especially because of the 2016 block halving.

Because it is like staking a wager on something that tends to go extreme either way on the scale. It is impossible to guess what it will be in 5 months. Having only been in bitcoin this is the price that I have seen from the same of my bitcoin life Wink

He also asked for a reason why, so you could have included a link to the thread you started that explains your reasoning. IMO your prediction is slightly over optimistic given the fact the price hasn't been following your chart. Personally I think we will still be between £200 and £300 in 5 months because a manipulator seems to want to keep the price stable.

Anything can happen in 5 months. Positive or even negative news can change the price considerable, so nothing is firm in bitcoin. If only I knew the answer. But one thing I hope to see is for the price to be stable and not fluctuate too much. Usually a fast rise will coupled with a quick dump, so that is one inherent problem btc is always facing.

I dont think so it will not reach 250 below. and then it will go up to 350-400 above with in next few months, then it will fluctuate about 400-450
Wait for the next two halving. I'm predicting price to go up drastically after that period.

5 months is a long time and it is so hard to estimate for that long since a lot of things can go wrong or opposite and the price can be affected greatly in the process.
so any price prediction for that long is going to be complete guess work.

i say it is going to be between $200-$1300 !

I would be surprised if there was a crazy exponential rise ever again. Too much profit taking / break-even and running will happen at all the psychological pain points - all the even hundred's back up to $1200. I can only see small incremental rises as all the innovation, VC, and exposure from the last 18 months starts to pay off.

To be realistic, I dont see the price climbing too much. But it really depends on what will happen in the world.
Maybe one goverment will adapt bitcoin? So the price will grow. Maybe will be a huge hack? So the price will go down.

650$ if things seem to go this way. I think there will be a price drop now and a lot of btc might get mad about it but it will actually be good. A lot of people will then put their money down in btc and I think I am one of them. It will push btc mugh higher at a nice pace, and it will turn heads. Adoption rumors again, media comes around again and boom, 650$ I assume till the year end

We will see a renaissance of users as price moves back into the mid 300s... this will probably push the price to 650ish before the crazies jump in and lose all their money creating a bubble up to 4kish...

This will be the third bit coin bubble in the public eye,(the 2011 wasn't noticed by many people outside of Silicon vslley) surviving that will lead to adoption phase.

160-130 is too low, i don't think it will happen ever, 200-220 was proven to be rock solid already

Hmm. I'm not good in prediction. I predict that Bitcoin will rise up to $500 USD in May 2015 last year. I predict that Bitcoin will be in the $1000 USD range before 2016 early this year. Now, looking at the price trend and the recent pump.. I predict that it will be around $400 USD at the end of this year. However, I'm never accurate. Hopefully this time I got this right. I think the latest push has done a whole lot of good for the market. With that help, I think the bitcoin price will remain around the 300 mark for the rest of the year. Because it seems the bitcoin market price is staying unaffected by the Greece market and it will remain unaffected by any incident.
