Is all about marketing. Without pre-launch they can't create an incentive to purchase the coins. They need to make people believe is the next big thing.

It means scammy shit you shouldn't support.
Coins should not be launched that way.

But no you can't sell a coin that has not been released yet.

It means ICO pretty much..  Roll Eyes

Pre-Launch mean that coin is not officially launched and some exchanges bought during ICO phase so they open it for trading and offering IOU tokens which can be replaced when official token get released.

I noticed that two of the new coins released, SOMN and ZrCoin has the status (Pre-Launch) after them. https://coinmarketcap.com/new/

What does this mean?
I did put a small amount into the ICO on these coins, but does (Pre-Launch) mean I can not yet sell of a partion of my investment?
