I think mods have a difficult problem, and I'm not really sure how one can be objective about some posts. For example, I would consider that your religious reply related to an agnostic rather than an atheist - is that grounds for deletion, or the basis for further discussion? We have to rely on the subjective opinion of the moderator, and where there are multiple moderators, any one could decide to delete a post. I tend to write off deleted posts on social boards, and just move on. I have more of a problem when a technical query is moved or deleted from a technical board, and I have to take it to another forum to open a discussion.

Low/no value posts are in danger of being deleted.

A post can technically be on topic but still in danger of being deleted.

Don't read the thread title or OP and simply hit reply.  READ the thread before posting (or at least enough of it that you have a strong understanding of any discussion already taking place).

The forum is not an "exam", we are not here to hear the same answers again and again but in your own words.  Make us laugh (or mad!), add something of value, something new or something interesting to the discussion.

Double sided statements/posts are not interesting nor do they add any value to a discussion:  "It's dark at night but light during the day" is not interesting to anyone!

Threads where the discussion has dwindled to page after page of redundant answers will be locked to prevent further spamming.

If a thread is locked and users wish to continue with actual discussion please send me a PM and I will unlock it so discussion can continue.

Be sure to check back with this sticky as it may be updated from time to time.

Mods are not your enemy, they don't hate you or your opinions. please help the new mod by reporting junk posts in politics and society section, you'll be noticed by them.
This is not the whole forum telling you to fack off by deleting your posts, a new moderator is a human like you. we all make mistakes. please try to read every single comment of other members before posting on any topic. if you are not reading their replies, how could you expect other people to read your comments?

You should find those 2 topics now and read every single post and then see if you want to repeat your deleted posts again on them.
Anyways, there is no merits to those generic 1.5 liner comments of yours.

Economic section doesn't have a dedicated moderator, currently some hungry people are trying to increase their report count up to have a chance of becoming a moderator. that section has no mod, when you report any post from that section, only global moderators can handle those reports, global moderators are busy with their own main responsibilities and wouldn't waste more than a minute on a member with less than 60 posts.

AFAIK recently there has been an issue that a reduction of post was from deleted topic.
Or probably you just answered the question to the topic without reading the (comment section) that lead to your post being deleted by mod with the thought of your account is bot or spammer.

Avoid such behavior that frowned by mod and member alike.

You don't get a message for deleted threads. That's not the issue here. When a post is deleted by a mod, you get a message that tells you about it. I don't know if you read my OP, in which I complain about posts that don't even read the topic, else you wouldn't be speculating that maybe I didn't read the topic. That I make an effort to say something relevant, while so many others don't. And if I was one of those people that just posts to post, then creating this thread would be too much work, something that they would avoid, since their goal is to have as many posts as possible.

So what exactly must I change? They were on different boards, any chance that they were going through my post history? Any chance that they were deleted by mistake. Because compared to the other responses I'm just surprised that mines are getting deleted.

1/ There is nothing to be done. We need to be paid for every post we make, we need less complicated sections, we need less mods so the demand for joining the forum increases. /s

Now this isn't a three word response but a post that deserves to be trashed since it is a pure spam although it gave you the answer that you were looking for...
2/ Mods can look through your posts history or simply reinforcements arrived finally to save politics and society.

Not quite sure what you were trying to say. The off topic section definitely needs mods, most of the post are straight out garbage, just read the title and post something about with as little work as possible. That's why I try to put some effort.

Today I saw that a mod closed the a thread because most of the post were redundant, and I was sooo happy about that. So many threads filled of horrible one line comments that seem to be off.

I've had three posts deleted by a Bitcoin talk mod. Two in the last hour or so. They were detailed and related to the topic.

For example in a post in I think it was in Economics (or politics and society) some one asked what one can do to help poor people, and I wrote:

Quote
There's nothing that can be done to eliminate poor people in the world, other than improve life conditions. If you raise a McDonald's job to $100,000 a year, or any other simple jobs, then the demand for that job will increase, and more complicated jobs will need to raise what they pay for that job to attract people.

This was not your typical three words response that you normally see in these sections where someone would write something like, "We need to help the homeless, because the homeless are people too, and not helping is bad."

The next deleted post was about whether atheism is a religion and again, I spent time thinking about what makes a religion, it wasn't a three word response.

Quote
It's not a religion. They don't hold services, don't have a hierarchy that collects money, don't have a profit, and so on. They are simply people who don't believe in the god of any religion. Basically believe it's made up thing.

So what exactly must I change? Any chance that they were deleted by mistake. Because compared to the other responses I'm just surprised that mines are getting deleted.
