I agree. And that's one of the benefits of holding bitcoin for so long.

Free money for just having BTC in your wallet.
But there are moments that you just want to encash because of the roller-coaster ride of BTC (i.e. when China decided to ban ICOs, etc..)

Nobody knows exactly what is going to happen after this fork, but i am sure that we will be going up like it always did, of course we are going to get some free bitcoin gold, but i dont care much about them, i only care about bitcoin and how it will be after the work.
right now it is only going up because everybody is moving their earnings to bitcoin, but maybe we should wait a bit until we can make a good prediction about it.

The one thing I don't like about this concept is that's it's supposed to be anti-inflationary, and yet they continue to print new money.

The hard fork will be held on October 25. After that I think if you hodl your bitcoins until November 1 you will get bitcoin gold. Just like you got last August 1 if you participated.
