There are 3 kinds of people in the world:
1. The kind that make things happen;
2. The kind that watch things happen;
3. The kind that wonder what happened.

Which kind is the largest part of the population?

Cool

The largest part of the population is the kind that does not know what is happening. And so there are more than 3 kinds of people in this planet. Sad to say that the biggest portion, probably more than 50% of the earth's population, are those who are not aware of the latest problems the earth is facing. These people are mostly hooked to their gadgets, to monitoring the latest shows and fashions, to sharing gossips, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And these people may not even be aware that there is such a thing as climate. We're not even talking of climate change.

Some of the people that are not aware was the kid out there who do Facebook and also some people who doesn't have any access to the world. Why they need to see or to know the issue if they didn't have the power to control or to help the community? Of course they choose to be happy than thinking the world problem.

If they don't even know, isn't it best for the community that they stay out of helping? At least until they find out a little?

You don't see the big picture. While coal is not as "clean" as solar and wind it can be used anywhere, in any climate and their production cost per MW of energy is small. Solar panels are very expensive, easily destroyed by hurricanes and hailstorms, need to be kept clean and lose some of their efficiency over time. The best and most reliable are water generators but they're also expensive to build.

There's no ideal way to produce electrical energy. What is "clean" is usually expensive to make and/or expensive to maintain. You're fighting coal plants and what about people who heat their houses with coal? They produce much more toxic smoke than power plants because of low temperature of burning. Plants have to abide by the standards, private owners don't.

so the rebuttle about preferring coal is that its cheaper and can be set up anywhere

well
1. with national grids actually linked underwater to other nations. (for instance europe and uk trad electric all th time) solar farms and water turbines can be set up anywhere too..

2. also a 6 panel solar array used to b $15k but now more like $6k
did you know that over 10 years people would spend more than $600 a year on coal

3. people say that the metals needed for solar are a abuse of resources but if you think of how much more steel concrete is needed not just to create a coal power plant but also to build trucks and train carriages and large cargo ships to transport the coal.. is more of an abuse. let alone the diesel costs for the transport.

but i do have to laugh. solar panels expensive to maintain. most come with a 10 year warrenty and the only cleanup is some soapy water and a cloth
people pay a window cleaner and a poolboy more than needed to pay to have solar panels cleaned

oh and one last thing. coal might be cheap to extract but the electric company wont give you electric at the coal extraction cost.
in most cases if you actually tried to be more energy efficient and use less electric, an electric company would usually increase the cost per kw so that they can always show profits to their board members. so you will never win the lets stick with coal as it will be cheaper.

I think that the largest part of the population is the masses that don't realize how they are being steered towards massive ignorance in lots of areas, and are being enlightened into areas that are lies... but they believe the lies.

This has been the plan in America since at least the early 1900s.

Climate change become severe on the last few years, let me give an example to most likely in the aspect of wastes, waste that just dumping out we don't have properly disposal of wastes. We just throw them in front of the street or on a river. Plastics that been burnt and affecting our ozone layer well fortunately ozone layer is or has been recovering, rebuilding itself and that is a good news for us. Can also be a warning or a chance that we should do some actions, we can gradually take action by a simple steps, encouraging people to build trees at least minimize the illegal doings like the mining. On my current state or nation, seminars on school on familiarization on the waste bins the types of wastes that can be a huge factor on climate changing, the different waste bin that can help to segregate wastes so it will not cause rampant, instead a solution.

The whole climate change thing is very real no one doubts that but we shouldn't be waiting for politicians to effect changes before we start doing things on our own, demonstrations and protests will bring the problem to the forefront but its not going to effect the change that we need, we ourselves should be doing that. Using eco friendly means of transportation and planting trees are ways that we are going to help battle climate change.

The whole climate change thing is very real. But it isn't what people think. In my area, at certain times of the year, the nighttime temperature can be 50 degrees colder than the daytime temperature. Climate change.

We don't need demonstrations to bring the problem to the forefront. What we need is the understanding of what the problem is. The problem is:
1. The suggestion that there is a climate change problem;
2. That even if there were a climate change problem, we couldn't do anything about it;
3. That if we try to do something about this non-existent climate change problem, we will mess nature up in a way that will cause it to fight back against us, and then we will really have a problem.

All the eco-friendly talk is a distraction that keeps us from seeing that the one-worlders are trying to use every possible method to destroy freedom in the world, and to take over as dictators, formally.

There are definitely some strange changes in the climate, for example, now it’s autumn and the street is 20 Celsius degrees, and in the middle of summer it was 15. I don’t know what it is connected with harmful emissions or something else. On the other hand, the same strange weather was about 100 years ago when there were no factories.

Do you know what is happening to the world right now? there's tons of issue and a lot of crisis that had been happening around the world yet we dont even do something to protect our beloved world, here are some article to prove to you that we need to somehow act.

https://www.un.org/en/sections/issues-depth/global-issues-overview/

let me emphasize for what happening currently on amazon do you think that us human has the capability to distinguished such crisis like that if our government was only focuses on themselves and on some military guns and exploring what beyond the earth?

Like what happen though are we still in love to our planet or are we ready to leave this planet called home?

https://climate.nasa.gov/effects/

We should be awake right now, we should start thinking about the future on how we can save our own planet what so called home.

I think that all those events that happen on the planet right now are the message that something even worse is coming.
The climate change, the war in Syria, the trade war between the US and China are some of the signs that may create something bigger in the subsequent years.

If we let the one-worlders take over with their fake climate change agenda, there will be 3 kinds of people in the world:
1. The kind that tried to warn us;
2. The kind that watched and knew but said nothing;
3. The kind that still wonder, "What happened?"

Lol. I find the statement "saving our planet" A bit funny and petty at the same time. We've been here for a couple of hundred thousand years compared to the planet who's been around more than 4 billions years old. Nothing we do will destroy the planet. The things we do will make the conditions dangerous for us. We're mere specs in this planet's history and long after we're gone because of our own selfishness and arrogance, the planet would still be here. We shouldn't be doing it for mother earth, we should be doing it for ourselves and the future generstions.

people are becoming more aware of politics and they way they are being manipulated ( Brexit for example ), and this seems to be leading to a revival in democracy.

I wish this was true, but I'm from the UK and I don't see this at all. Boris Johnson is our version of Donald Trump, a populist strongman and moral vacuum who conducts his premiership almost exclusively through emotive soundbites. And huge numbers of people fall for it; his party has a big lead in the opinion polls, and his popularity is growing.

So many people here in the UK are so f***ing stupid, and far too lazy to do any actual thinking for themselves. Their opinions aren't their own at all, they just think what they are told to think by mass-media, Facebook echo chambers, and people like Boris. I've ranted about this at far greater length in another thread ( https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.52602553 ) , but TL;DR: as I see it, we are moving further towards government by idiots, not away from it.

There is so much misinformation and misunderstanding at the moment. The world's cleanest electricity generation plant is in China, and it is coal fired.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dGHLC5YTEA&t=180s

I guess the good news is that people are becoming more aware of politics and they way they are being manipulated ( Brexit for example ), and this seems to be leading to a revival in democracy.

Lol

Did you finish to watch your own 5 minutes video?
They say themselves that coal can't be as clean as renewable energy. They say themselves that coal mining is a big ecological problem. They say themselves that China is trying to shift away from fossile fuels.

Yeah manipulated, you manipulate yourself just by cherrypicking what you WANT to believe.

Agreed, in my perspective though its important that we must take the responsibility of our action, but even the voice of a girl before, do you know what the video is? like she discussed among some great leaders of the nation and after 25 years if im not mistaken still we haven't do a single thing to protect or to give solution on the crisis, in fact its been doubled up the crisis were facing before.

Painful. So many problems that occur in this world, but the world leaders seemed to close their eyes. The policies that they make are mostly made for their own interests. There are no concrete steps to overcome the existing problem/crisis. Meanwhile, the individual's concern for the surrounding environment is also very low.
