The price increase with bitcoin at this moment seems to be the stabilized growth. Already the price crossed $9000 in few exchanges and but it didn't stood long above $9000. Now it looks like a resistance gain to cross $9000 and continue to grow. In this regard I don't think the ongoing price variations a bubble.

I am sure that bitcoin is not a bubble because a bubble is not lasting for long. If bitcoin was a bubble, it would burst in a short time.

Oh bubbles can last very long! Have a look at the stock markets!
Highly inflated due to very cheap money which flooded the market all over the years.
Even Bitcoin as a bubble could last several years. But I don't see Bitcoin being in a bubble although many may call it like that.To me it's just wild and crazy growth of a pretty young technology and platform with regular price exaggerations and corrections due to long term price discovery.

I think, the price will not go down forever, but it will go back up in time, I believe that the fall in prices will be an opportunity for buyers.

When are we going down? I see us going up since we've touched 6000 USD. Next there was a fast climb that broke, but the correction was much smaller and took us only to 6400 USD, which is bullish. Now all we need is to get to 8500 to confirm this new uptrend and we're fine. BTW, I don't know if you've noticed but we've broken through the descending trendline on the 1d chart, which is huge.
The price is going up now and it looks like it will still continue to go up.  We are waiting for that price to be reached so we can totally say that bitcoin price is recovering.  The price may have been on dumped for a long time but atleast it is showing signs and hope of recovery.

Honestly,  what I am really afraid now is that bitcoin could also easily dump despite its fast recovery. Bubble or not we don't know about it yet but I consider not trusting the increase because volatility could easily turn things upside down.

Bitcoin stabilized after staggering 8,000 US dollars, Bitcoin volatility is not suitable for low-risk investors.
Since April, prices have fluctuate in the first 10 days. The highest intraday price was at $8,500 on April 4. The lowest price on that day was $7,500. The amplitude was 12.21% on the same day. The intraday low price was $7,150 on April 1. The highest price on the day was $7,999. The day's amplitude was 11.07. %. The April 12 market saw the largest amplitude in the near term – the highest price of Bitcoin was $8807.2 and the lowest was $733.18 with an amplitude of 19.54%.
On Tuesday, bitcoin prices suddenly dipped and fell more than $200 in less than 20 minutes, falling below the $8,000 mark. Some analysts believe that this flashback originated from the investigation of 13 large-scale digital currency exchanges initiated by the Attorney General Eric Schneiderman of New York State, in an effort to increase the transparency of these exchanges and protect the interests of investors in the state.
Robert Schiller recently accepted an interview with CNBC's Trading Nation column and published his opinion on Bitcoin (BTC). He believes that Bitcoin may be a bubble, but that does not mean that it will burst or disappear forever.

Bitcoin will always jump from top to bottom and it's a good chance to earn money or to lose some of them Smiley But for sure it will not devaluate to zero. Some counties are thinking about using of it in their reserve funds...

For me to explain why I think Bitcoin is in a bubble, let’s quickly define what a bubble is so you can understand. An economic bubble is defined as when an

asset at a price or price range that strongly exceeds the asset's intrinsic value. Bubbles occur pretty frequently in markets; they’ve happened many times in

the past and they’ll happen many times again in the future. You might think that we would all learn from the mistakes of the past but people never do and

they never will because bubbles form as a result of human nature.

I think it's a bubble and it burst so the price went down deep. Imagine from $15k to $11k then right now to $8k. This is so devastating because it went down but this time, right now, is the opportunity for those who wanted to invest to bitcoin because of the current price which is $8k and with something of this price it's not that bad you'll get more than what you invested. You have to wait for the price to go up though, it's going to take months or even years but it's gonna be worth it once you reach the profit you want.

On what basis do you believe that the price will only go up? Is there anything to back this up or is it just a hunch?
I would believe the same that the price will go back (rise) up slowly in time
nothing to back it up but if you look the chart, it's currently forming an upward gradual slope
next price level resistance is around $9k, if it passes it will rise steadily if no FUD around

And it's impossible that there won't be any fuds that'll come btc's way. It's a bubble that has popped several times already but has kept pumping itself back. I'm not afraid of this bubble popping since it's part of btc's cycle for me

A bubble is when the price of an asset does not depend on its "main factors" - investors value the asset to determine its value. It can be money that is transformed from stocks in the future, the company's cash flow, the state of the country's economy or even the rent for the property. But bitcoin does not calculate profits (from shares) or rent (from real estate) and is not tied to the national economy. This is one of the reasons why it is difficult to say about its value.

Bitcoin during the last bull market had all the characteristics of a bubble which is why a lot of people referred to it as such but with the drop in price after the coin did not totally crash and is still worth a lot of money so it defeats the point of being a bubble.

If you look closely at cryptocurrencies, you can see that Bitcoin's exchange rate is mostly dependent on investor sentiment. If they come in contact with too much negative news about BTC, they will surely have the psychological desire to sell to exit the market to avoid risk, bubbles. If Bitcoin faces a lot of negative news, it will lead to a drop in exchange rates, which is a normal thing in this potentially cryptocurrencies market.
There is no such reason to justify this thing that bitcoin is a bubble. You can only term bitcoin as bubble when it goes down completely after getting to its peak. We have seen the occasions when bitcoin has managed to recover back after having a downfall and this is the only thing which helps the investors in believing this bitcoin as they know that bitcoin will go up even if it is low for certain time.

Bitcoin is a payment tool. Yes it's a bit pumped with speculative capital. But it's total capitalisation is the best evidence that people trust it.
Let's take American Dollar for example. Ask yourself how it's possible to have $20 000 000 000 000 of sovereign debt and such stable USD rate? The answer is the same - people trust it.
So Bitcoin is not a buble, because there is no sovereign debt. USD is greates bubble ever, and bitcoin is a best way to keep your money if USD crashes.

Instead, I think that it is not a bubble now. This price is an overreaction of Bitcoin. Bitcoin will definitely fall back because of the previous $15,000 soaring, but it has fallen too quickly, causing people to panic, so prices have continued to fall and the market has been adjusting prices.

I consider bitcoin as a true cryptocurrency and not a bubble probably because it has been evolving for many years and yet bitcoin is still continuing to survive. Fluctuation in price would have been just normal since bitcoin is volatile in nature and no need to worry much since the price may soon again will make a bullish run in the coming months.

I am so worried about the price of Bitcoin now. After climbing a bit up to $11000+ start of this week it drop rapidly now to $8000+ and maybe will still go down or drop more. Is this the bubble? But I hope not. That price climb for the previous days still not enough for what I expected. Very surprising price change.

What do you think will the price of Bitcoin this March? Will it go down more below $5000? Or this is just a buying opportunity? If someone have the idea what affect the price of bitcoin. Kindly drop it here.

Or is this what makes the price to go low. Panic selling of a company of about $400 Mln worth of Bitcoin.

If it was a bubble the it would have been gone since the big drop from the start of this year. So I would likely to say that Bitcoin is not a bubble and would possibly rise back up sooner or later this year.

Your account was created last year 2017 before bitcoin hits $5,000. Are you worried before that the price will reach high's?

Stop being greedy and stop asking if bitcoin is a bubble. Bitcoin has never been a bubble so even you are hoping it's not, the idea that comes to your mind is making you think that bitcoin is a bubble.

Looks like the wallstreet guys are busy again and got the bitcoin to decline. As soon as they'll finish their future btc contracts, it will rise again. But since they have started to hold those BTC future contracts, they have been manipulating the prize of BTC big time. This has been going on since december and it practicly derailed the entire crypto market.

I think the google ban is being used as part of the existing FUD around Mt. Gox.
I believe so, it could be the Mt Gox talks + Google bans that caused people anxiety and slowly sell their holdings
and that was spread by a handful of people Roll Eyes so that they can buy bitcoin with cheaper price

I do think we'll hit a bottom soon because there doesn't seem to have been significant enough news to cause this large dump.
I don't understand this part.
Why would there be a dump if there is no significant news? unless I misunderstood that sentence
IMO having no news on bitcoin would only make bitcoin price to stabilize, not dump or pump

My thinking for the second part kind of ties in to your reasoning for the first part. Bad news is spread and blown out of proportion and the FUD then allows people to manipulate the market for their own gain. Therefore my point was that I don't think the news is significant enough to subdue the market long term, just enough for it to be used for manipulation.

for some reason which i will never understand, some people will always call bitcoin a "bubble" no matter what happens with it. my best guess is that they always want to see bitcoin at a lower price as long as they are buying more of it so they try to convince everyone else not to buy. they know the smart money don't listen to them they just want to convince the masses for the time being while they accumulate!

The bitcoin and crypto world is no bubble. It takes more than just saying or speculating or even providing a few shallow points to say or assert that the crypto is a bubble. A bubble is a scam and it results in loss of lives and business. The bitcoin venture and the crypto world is not so.
Yes, that's right. If bitcoin and crypto is a bubble then no one will spend their time and effort to work for it, but as I observe many people are putting trust to it giving their time. So for me bitcoin and crypto is not bubble. It helps you in your financial.  Wink
Many people try to bury bitcoin, making it seem worthless.

I think we should all just stop panicking.

There are many TA that says that bitcoin is heading for a correction if it falls below 8k.

But tbh, the bitcoin futures contracts closes today. And that is the reason for the price crash. They're trying to suppress the price in order to get a good price during the end of the day. After that, price should rise naturally

You mean like they did last time? If I remember correctly it only moved by about 10% after futures closed. I think the google ban is being used as part of the existing FUD around Mt. Gox. I do think we'll hit a bottom soon because there doesn't seem to have been significant enough news to cause this large dump.

I think we've been in a bubble since the climb from 3k to 20k and up til now.  None of the crashes indicated that the bubble bursted because after a big crash we would always experience an even bigger climb.  If this pattern persists in think we'll reach new peaks and possibly even 50k btc in 2018 but if we dont come out of this bearish market that were current in, then btc could go back down to 5k or even below.

It was obviously a bubble and true to form like all bubbles it burst but that does not mean that bitcoin won't go up again, and with the way this crashes are going I won't be surprised if another bubble happened soon
As a noob, you are bound to take this position and tag what is happening a bubble. I don't have any issue with such stand. But have you heard of the word, "correction"? Good. Try to see what is happening as correction and price stability. Nothing rises forever without finding gravitational pull once in a while.

Or is this what makes the price to go low. Panic selling of a company of about $400 Mln worth of Bitcoin.
No doubt the Mt Gox sell off aided the further plunging of price as the news made a mess of technical analyses. Also, don't hurriedly forget that excess supply will always bring price to its knees at all time. And that was what happened with the sell off.

Bitcoin price is very volatile this last couple of days and is now struggling to find a new support. Price increase last year was not realistic and price has since then dropped a lot, but it is in my eyes not a bubble. If it would be, price will drop to as low as 1000$ or even lower.

Bitcoin showed itself as a swelling bubble in December of last year. It was after this that countries such as India, Britain and others began to warn their citizens that investing in bitcoin is very risky. However, in order for bitcoin to burst like a bubble, on the one hand, so that it reaches, if not the limit with its price, then at least very high price values. On the other hand, we need a certain push, some negative news that would lead to panic and the domino effect.
Therefore, we can say that bitcoin is a bubble, but at this price it does not pose a significant risk to investors.

just because price is not rising, or because it is falling, you can not call it a bubble! a bubble was here when price reached $20k and it is long corrected. i would call this more of a panic sell than even calling it correction.

we may yet see lower prices too since the major buy support was broken but still that doesn't make it a bubble either.
unfortunately the big rise of last year has left bitcoin vulnerable and all the FUDs are making things that much worse. and only time can fix this.

I guess bitcoin is not a bubble. If it was a bubble, it would burst a long time ago.
Did you remember the difference of the price in the past years? The increment of bitcoin price made we think bitcoin is a bubble.
But look at now, bitcoin value still more higher than last year. It is not burst, because bitcoin is not a bubble.

The bitcoin and crypto world is no bubble. It takes more than just saying or speculating or even providing a few shallow points to say or assert that the crypto is a bubble. A bubble is a scam and it results in loss of lives and business. The bitcoin venture and the crypto world is not so.

Rather, it is the ball which could no longer be inflated, now blown away, and with new forces will again . As for the price, most likely we will not go down below 7500-8200, a very strong resistance line. Now the news background is positive, and there are no problems with prices to grow, which in fact, we will soon observe.

It was obviously a bubble and true to form like all bubbles it burst but that does not mean that bitcoin won't go up again, and with the way this crashes are going I won't be surprised if another bubble happened soon

price bubble is when the price is much... much... higher than its real value. (last december $20k Shocked)
what you just said is a price correction, the price drops and finds a new stabe price level after sudden increases

What do you think will the price of Bitcoin this March? Will it go down more below $5000? Or this is just a buying opportunity?
if you have extra money and believe in bitcoin, price drop is equal to buying opportunity Wink
my guess is if it really go down very low, it will stabilize at $6k for about 1-2 months

Or is this what makes the price to go low. Panic selling of a company of about $400 Mln worth of Bitcoin.

after read this news, I feel concerned with Bitcoin. but they sell bitcoin to pay the defunct exchange’s creditors. That's not because they not loving bitcoin anymore, so we still have a chance to see bitcoin like a few month ago. I believe, bitcoin will be back expensive again, but this need long term time, because bitcoin lost much ammount in dollar.
We can make use of this time to buy Bitcoin, because the price still low, Bitcoin will be reach high price again, maybe around half of this year!
