If you are going to be successful you need to have a very wide scope so that you can see the factors that are changing your Investments up or down. There are real news and then there are fake news. Some news like this china banning one might be real , but then we should understand that this wont keep bitcoin down for long. Once people realize that bitcoin price is too low, they will start buying and once you get the buying trend, bitcoin will again cross 4000$ in a day or two.
that's the common scenario inside crypto industry fake news will create panics and newcomers will come and ride the cheap value, after that it will
rise back again with the help of whales and they will begin to cash out again and make more news or issues to shake the market better to be ready
with all this stuff and you are ready to go.

I am not complaining I am simply stating that the markets are doing just fine and that at this very moment, only hours after the original post Bitcoin is doing just fine. This is why, even though most people are told to limit their number of Investments when they are first learning, do please do not limit your scope in perspective. It's the outside world and the entire cryptocurrency Market that is going to set values for these coins,

I have come to conclude that the world of the individual is based on a limited scope perspective and that they expect that the rest of the world shares their scope. If any single person has invested in a single coin, and they wake up in the morning to find that coin has lost value, to them the entire cryptocurrency Market has lost value and they will post that information.

Another good way to get a quick handle on what the crypto market is doing is by paying attention every day to the Market Cap (CryptoCurrency Market Capitalization) as shown at the top of the CoinMarketCap homepage.

Today it is around $133B (133,268,725,237 billion dollars), which by itself that number is useless.  But if tomorrow the number is $140B or maybe $125B you'll know if things are up or down, and how much, before ever even seeing any single coin's price.

Also since I knew the Market Cap was down by around $10B from a couple days ago, it was no surprise at all to see that all coins had a down day.

And if you don't spend everyday on coinmarketcap, remembering the last MarketCap will help to catch you up quick after a break.

We're in for a long bear market I think. The chinese have just suspended all trading on one of their biggest exchanges. Don't cash out now, accumulate and hodl for next year. November 2018 is the time when millionaires will be made

I'm looking to understand why the blood spilled again. Blue has reappeared in yesterday, but could not believe BTC continues dump with Altcoin today. Panic comes back, I don't know the price of BTC will be like at the end of this month. I'm very worried.

Yesterday the blood was catalyzed by Charlie Lee's tweet, amidst a sea of mounting speculation and fear. The markets are pricing in the potential news from China and a lot of people are cashing out. Even if China does "ban bitcoin" or just the exchanges, the price won't fall forever. The rest of the world will continue to use cryptocurrencies and they will increase in popularity....and China will be missing out on a huge market (which i don't find likely). Anyway, don't be worried. These corrections happen. Try to not panic sell and try not checking the charts too often. If you are too worried, maybe you have overinvested and reconsider your investment strategy.

I would plans to exchanges and see that the coins right there on the front page we're doing just fine. I would even dig deeper and see that the general average had not changed at all. I've gone so far as to take the time stamp off the original post and compare it to the closest you could get on the Bitcoin Candlestick chart and see that a post about how negative everything was going was right in the middle of a rise.

Newbie in crypto, invested for fun in some interesting projects, I saw most of notable coin ( and BTC too) are falling down.
Someone can explain?

Its because of the bad news that coming from CHINA and people are on panic sell because of that but don't worry everything will recover soon I hope you did not panic and sell your coins.

The overall market was bound to retract one of these days, it was so clear. It's a lot better if it gradually rises all the way up to 1 trillion, than if it shoots up and drops back down like a stone, as this might attract negative attention from governments wanting to ban it all together (like China was rumored to do)

The news from China is effective and there are several important reasons. Also the price of Bitcoin did not rise in a balanced way. This does not seem to be balanced because of the rapid price decline seems normal.

I don't think we should be panic about the happened and like op have rightly said now is the best time to buy as bitcoin and others altcoins  are very cheap now. Many traders are speculating that the price will fall further but I don't think that will happen as $4000 has remained the foundation and the  ground floor for now.

Next time you feel a panic sell coming, sell along and buy back half an hour later.

.. And here is how the panic sell and the dead cat bounce are born Wink
You are right! But I don’t think so there is any need of following the crowd, if you have strong believe in your coin and it has some good history keep it in our wallet and it is definitely going to pay you off. Panic selling is mostly done by newborn investors who are not aware of market trends very well.
this is not win win market. this is win - lose market. If new trader panic sell like that. We can make money from them. They always buy high sell low. Our money come from that

Exactly, panic sellers make us rich

Actually if you are a new investor in trading crypto, you should follow the trend (whales) and never choose altcoin low price for investment. Because almost altcoins fall down to low price usually keep this trend till the market creates signal recovery it. Therefore, it can makes you buried capital in longer time than trading altcoin has bullish trend.

I always see threads like this first thing in the morning. I see them and they imply that the entire cryptocurrency Market is down. I used to panic 2 years or a more back and rush off to check my Bitcoin account and the exchanges. I found that time and time again Bitcoin had either not changed, barely dropped, or actually increased. So no need to put attention to these fud of bitcoin dying etc.

It is a part of its normal routine. It just a minor fluctuation and it is also normal. These coins are widely used in online transactions everyday. So it is very possible to experience movement in prices of these coins: its either up or down, and now its down and will change in short period of time and so on. But watch out, everyday is not a nice day so be alert on some worst case scenario

The world of crypto coins is full of such surprises. The prices keep on changing at an unexpected rate and sometimes abrupt fall or rise can also take place. You never know what is gonna happen next.

Now that ICOs have been banned in China, just see its impact and enjoy the moments. Don't sell out your BTCs at the present moment. The price will still decline but if you are planning to buy again sell some of BTCs and buy next day at cheaper rates.

Some people said this was a normal cycle for alt coins, but as I know, this was most likely because that Chinese government would add some restrictions on all ICO projects. No matter this is a truth or rumor, just be careful these days.

The market is definitely moving from this decision by China. you say above that "Chines government would add some restrictions...", its a bit more than that, they have outright banned ICO activity. It is all over crypto news right now.

The main mistake I made when I first started buying alts was that I underestimated the effect of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin has a huge impact on every coin, which is partly because of trading pairs. To buy and sell most alts you have to go through BTC.

So the main reason that alts are falling in the last couple of days and especially today is that Bitcoin brushed the psychologically important $5,000 mark. This triggered selling, which triggered shorting, which triggered panicking.

First, don't just invest in anything just to have fun. I won't advise that someone because in the end if you are just investing for fun, you won't focus for realistic goals. Well this is another bloody week for the whole crypto currency market. We should no that this is normal not only in cryptocurrency market but in stock,  commodities and forex market. This is the best time to buy bitcoin and others altcoins that are seriously dropping in price. It's just a bit of profit taking. Cryptocurrencies are way more volatile than stocks and shares, and sell offs happen for the most trivial reasons (because no-one is sure which alt will be a success, which means selling quickly is often the right strategy).

I'd advise you to go to Coinmarketcap and take a look at the historic charts for all the alts. This is 6486th time this has happened, or something close to that!

Newbie in crypto, invested for fun in some interesting projects, I saw most of notable coin ( and BTC too) are falling down.
Someone can explain?
First of all i would like to welcome you on this Crypto world and i would say that this field would really be interesting and making money would really be possible but talking off first about on your concern, dont be surprised if those prices would behave on that way since its just normal here on this trading world because prices would really vary depending on the demand of its users.

Billions and billions of dollars have been pumped into bitcoin, causing a rushed price spike. Had at least half of those insane amounts been invested into altcoins, we could have benefitted from an unprecedented bull rush - and bitcoin would have experienced a more moderate and healthy price increase instead of briefly reaching the 5k USD mark and subsequently causing an unnecessary market crash and pulling nearly all the altcoins down along with it.

Panic selling happened. $5000 is too strong of a psychological barrier to blast through it at the first attempt, so smart money is starting to accumulate now on the dips because the next atempt will most likely be the good one, and we will go to $5000+ guaranteed, which means, you better stack stockpiling on sub $5000 BTC at the highest rate as possible.

And once we get rid of the damn big blockers for once, the days of 4 figure a BTC will be over.

I can't wait for Bitcoin Core 0.15 and lightning network and sidechains.

It is not falling down it is in correction and searching for right price after up very high. If you buy in crypto from 2016 you still in profit and it is unbelievable profit..especially for coin like ethereum, stratis, waves, ark

it's a economy cycle so you should not be worry about this kind of activity,
even if we're seeing a downward movement both of them (Altcoin and Bitcoin) at the same time,
nothing serious about this activity,
it's very simple,
they're trying to get more coin after spending their money last week,
every sunday/saturday usually we will see the price goes down because many people cashed out their money,
and then move upward again.

just do some observation and mathematics
