I just checked his profile by chance and it seems like he connected a week ago : https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/muhammed-zakir-320943
It also seems like his trust is back to green , I assume he paid back his loan ?

Yea he paid back Smiley

Thank's.....I think that its surprising that somebody would go from being as dynamic as he was to not notwithstanding getting to his record by any means, and I think that its ordinary that he would default on such a little advance, (despite the fact that he has not been trusted with vast sums before) and most bizarre is that there is the accurate sum that he obtained unspent in his vanity address situated in his profile.  Shocked Roll Eyes

So by extension you mean to say he is QS as well(3rd-last post of yours)? By which you mean to say QS is from Canada and India(thats where many of the Zakir's "friends" know him from) at the same time?

Also come on its really hard to take you seriously with that name(not that I would)

if you would reather believe in amazing coincidences instead  then you can be my guest. you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

sorry that the truth bothers you fellows. I discovered it a while back when one of bobs giveaways came from one of MZs wallets.

so they are the same person. OR maybe MZ is a different person giving away his btc? I don't think so.

-snap-
All I can assume is that all his accounts might got hacked at some point of time and he is unable to retrive his loan. But that leaves to another question, why will he not inform his situation with a new account?
-snap-

He has my number and that's how he informed me in December that he is still busy or sth, IDR
I have his number too and it show's Switched off.

He's from India,  right?  Can someone who knows his dox (if anyone does) check to see if he's incarcerated or dead?  If neither,  you'd kind of have to assume he scammed.
I know he isn't dead Smiley
I have his address too i think since i got some stuff from him..will have to check

Muhammed Zakir is (was ?) one of bipolarbob's alts. do your homework fellows.

Please kindly shut up! That's the most stupid thing i have heard in a while...

With this kind of behaviour I do not think he has scammed you 0.16 BTC

Anyways time will tell.
And how else to called action when Men promise but not comply with obligations. I think victims, little comfort, whether it is pre-planned or due to unforeseen circumstances consequence.

Nevertheless, my bet, that account is  not under original MZ control.

It has been pretty long that he hasn't replied me , i even saw him online on Skype once but he went offline as soon i sent him message...

I don't know what the reason is but for now he owes me 0.16 BTC

I don't know whether to trust him or not , he keeps coming online frequently but doesn't do any activity and thus it's pretty confusing....

It seems pretty clear to me that you shouldn't trust him, or at least until this is all sorted out and you have an explanation for the delay as well as your 0.16 BTC back (and of course a generous late repayment fee too). As of right now, he stole 0.16 BTC from you, has been on Bitcointalk multiple times since the loan was due, and hasn't bothered to try and contact you to sort this out.
Yes, i know that... But he has been a good friend... And the main thing being he PM'ed me in December that he is busy, what worries me is that though he comes online but doesn't reply anyone or does any activity which is suspicious.

I know he isn't foolish enough to destroys his good account for mere 0.16 BTC though it doesn't change the fact that he owes me 0.16 BTC for around half a year now...
Hope for the best

Remember back when Muhammed Zakir came online for a few days, and seemed to do nothing? He did more then nothing. He locked his lending thread. The last post was Jan 22, 2016

He defaulted the loan in late December, so the only explanation is that he locked it when he came online.. Obviously, I could be wrong and a staff member or someone else locked it, but I can't check. This is a very minor thing, but it could mean he did something else. (Edit a post maybe?)

I'm more then sure that I saw this topic closed long time ago so I don't think he closed the last time he connected .
I am 100% sure that it was open, after he defaulted the loan. Also, how do you explain this post?

Unless lokos1913a found an exploit to post on locked threads, it proves that the thread was open before Jan 22, 2016. Maybe you looked at it more recently, but still a month or so ago and saw it was locked, and couldn't recall the exact time.
IIRC, some random person posted in his thread asking for a loan several months after he last logged in and a moderator subsequently locked the thread.

True, few people use anything less than DT1 because it's default or something.

Default is level 2, and well there are more than 10 levels of DT(in a way) but you can't set your level higher than 4

Can we keep this thread on the topic of MZ please. I get excited there are news every time you bump the thread.
Well... its a bit on topic: MZ suddenly coming up-> someone questioning why he still is on DT 3-> No significance of DT 3-> Explanation , but sure

Also, I'm gonna be the last person coming up with the news of MZ   Cheesy

He stole 0.16 BTC by defaulting on a loan with chronicsky back in September. Someone claimed a month or so ago that MZ would be back soon to pay the loan, but he hasn't been back.
And he is still in default trust list ..
Level 3, which no one possibly uses
Level 3 DT is still DT..

Level 3 DT is no more DT than level 13 DT is.
Wait a second.. There's more than 4 levels of DT? Dang, I might actually be on DT after all Cheesy Only thing left to do is to get onto DT 4 Cheesy

Hi! everyone ...

It's true the MZ does owe me some BTC (0.16) , he had sent me a text on 23rd December that he is busy and will Repay me soon...

i have tried calling him several times but his cell is off...

Personally , i trust him - he had been like a brother to me. He would never scam me or anyone.
I just hope all is good with him...and he comes back to the community....

~Sky

Bro he is online on forum now.
He is online for nearly 3 days now.

Did he contact you here after coming online?
I hope he is not banned to send pm or anything so hope to get a pm from him if he really is intended to return the loan.

cheers.
He hasn't and yes , strangely he has been online....

I don't know what's going on...
he had done it before-  last time in December when i was messaging him...

Let's wait a lil more...

It's weird because he's been looking at his profile, refreshing every 3 mins or so for 3 days straight now. Hopefully you can get your money back dude.

Actually its not, because the majority of users will not see "DT3" ratings as trusted. Might as well be on that one list that goes to depth 7.

It seems like there is some updates : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13163090 (It says updated but not sure where is the updated part honestly , I assume it's the "EDIT" on the OP.)

Here is the update Chronisky made:

EDIT : I have myself been quite busy and forgot to update that i had received a messaged from MZ around before 25th December stating that he is busy with life and would repay me soon.

Lets hope for the best though.
Yeah, he heard from MZ in December, but we're in February.  MZ is still missing in action with funds.  Hopefully nothing serious has happened to him but this isn't much of an update.
Maybe something bad happened to him IRL?
I don't want to speculate like this but it seems this is the worst case scenario for now
Because i don't think a trusted member like MZ will scam a little coins for his sake of reputation  Undecided
Though, all we can do is wait and hopefully he will back someday bringing us an update to why he was gone Sad

I don't think he'd forget about a loan either, because he was a big lender around here before he disappeared.  That member gkv9 was defending him up and down a while back then stopped, and I thought he said he knew MZ personally.

As an aside, I responded in gkv9's recent lending thread (he's late on a loan) and was thinking of MZ and started a thread a few minutes ago myself about this.  I didn't even realize OP had done the same.  Weird coincidence.

Hope he comes back, because flood or not it does seem like something happened.

Why weird coincidence? Do you think they are the same person?  Or what?
No, the coincidence is that I'd started a thread on the very same topic (wondering where MZ went to and if there were any updates) on the same day.  It wasn't intentional, I just didn't see there already was one or didn't look.  I locked up my thread after this was brought to my attention.

Or what?

I would say more likely then not something happened to him.

I find it unusual that someone would go from being as active as he was to not even accessing his account at all, and I find it unusual that he would default on such a small loan, (even though he has not been trusted with large amounts in the past) and most unusual is that there is the exact amount that he borrowed unspent in his vanity address located in his profile.

Seems unlikely he would scam for that amount. MZ was pretty active here which makes me think something happened to him. I am sure at some point if he is alright he will return with an interesting story for us.

We dont know, I have read some rumours that there was a flood that he might have been affected by, but someone else said that it was in a different place. He does not answer on twitter nor is he active there.
Flood is not rumour. During this december, some parts of tamil nadu in india were affected by heavy flood. But seems MZ belongs to kerala side, there is no flood on kerala AFAIK.

Yes, I probably wrote that a bit more complicated that it needed to be.

Otherwise he might be busy with some other work and forgotted about the loan (the link mentioned above) brcause IMO, he'll not scam for this small amount?

I doubt he just forgot, I dont think he is the kind of person that just forgets their duty. On the other hand I only know them from here, so I might very well be wrong about this. Until the loan is repaid their reputation however is ruined.

who knows.. probably something happened and he decided or was forced to retire from bitcointalk.
he got a good trust/rep and decent amount of btc so I kinda doubt he planned to scam.

btw his last loan repayment of .16 never moved from his address (from ranochigo. Oct. 6th).

He stole 0.16 BTC by defaulting on a loan with chronicsky back in September. Someone claimed a month or so ago that MZ would be back soon to pay the loan, but he hasn't been back.

Did he got hacked or something? He is not even connecting to Skype anymore , kinda weird .
