Oh wow I didn't know that this happened! Will there be another one in some time? I hope there will be, I'm extremely good at these... Ah sheeeeit, I can't believe I've missed these.

AFAIK you can still catch up on the second one. I think it went over to the litecoin board, but Im not sure.
Not the litecoin, but the LetsTalkBitcoin. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8962555

Moving to LetsTalkBitcoin was a dreadful idea, completely killed the interest for the game. 2nd ARG is slowly dying a slow death there, which is a shame because it was very, very interesting with high quality artwork and interesting riddles.

-snip-
I spent a week of my life on the previous one, and got no reward and a lot less sleep.  Sad

I also invested too much time in the 1st ARG, thats why I do not follow the 2nd. I would however say I was rewarded in my own way. I learned a lot durring that time and not because I had to, but because I wanted to. I waded knee deep in encryption methods and codes and had loads of fun. The whole time was exhilarating. Yes it took its toll. Yes, there was bad blood because Gatekeeper was loaded allready, but it was a fair win. They cracked the final step first. From what I read some of the contributors have formed a group and working together on the 2nd ARG. This will forever be a fond memory of mine and while I like coins, that alone was worth the lack of sleep and food.

The puzzles / ARG were nice, but the payment should be different.

They should reward every individual contribution that solves a step in the ARG.

It should be a team based thing, and participants should pay a small fee to participate. The pool can then be distributed to the individual rewards.
We have seen teams forming in the previous ARG anyway, so it will take nothing away from the fun of the game.

The trolls will not be rewarded, because they did not pay the participation fee.
If someone cannot afford to pay the fee, someone else can sponsor him/her if they show potential.

A single reward only causes friction amongst people.

I spent a week of my life on the previous one, and got no reward and a lot less sleep.  Sad

Maybe everyone is clinging too tightly to their Bitcoins and scared to give a single satoshi away at the moment. But I also think that those puzzles are a very nice way of getting people involved and are something very very creative!
People is too busy panicking while they endlessly stare Bitcoinwisdom.com skipping a beat every time the price goes down for 1 dollar.

What kind of puzzles? Maybe you meant the games & rounds subforum? Or maybe apophenia btc? Puzzles is a very broad word which can mean a lot of things. Please explain yourself a bit more explain-y.
