I think it is like a wallet that holds your altcoin or bitcoins
if you want a good wallet and worry free try the "my ether wallet" I recommend that to you and i am using it just keep all your PRIVATE KEYS protected and you must need backup copies for better assurance that it will be safe no matter what

Do you know what we are talking about?

There is no difference in Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash addresses. Address is just a number that someone has a key (another number with special property) for.
You don't really send bitcoin anywhere, you just lock them with this number and since they are same sets of numbers, if you have a key for BCH address, you have a key for the same Bitcoin address and vice versa.

So there is no such thing as BCH address compared to BTC address, you just send money to a Bitcoin address that just so happens to be the same as some other BCH address and can be unlocked with the same key.

You made my day  Grin Grin.
Thanks for info.

it depends on where you got your BCH address from.

- if it is from a third party service. for example from an exchanges wallet, then you will have to contact them and ask them to do something about it. sometimes exchanges fix it for you, sometimes they don't specially if the amount is small.

- if it is from your own wallet and you have the private keys. then you just export the BCH private key, and then import it into your bitcoin wallet and you will have the bitcoins you send to that address accessible.

I have taken BCC address and pasted on blockchain.info and it doesnt says address is wrong or whatever. it showed me a wallet having zero balance but i guess those bitcoin will go to bitcoin blockchain address not BCC I guess.

Hello,
As you can see my Topic defines defines the question.

So what if someone deposit bitcoin to BCC or BCH address.
What will happen? Is bitcoin useless now or i get that bitcoin back.

This is a big challenge and i also lost small amount of btc on these. My address was from a third party and and i was told the amount is too small to be retrieved  but i guess most third parties will work and get you your bitcoin when you are faced with this challenge. It is advisable to have the key to your own BCH address because if not then technically the wallet is not yours.

If you do it there are only two of my answers. lost and returned, if you lose bitcoin it means you have given up to get back your bitcoin but if you try to report in the place of delivery destination you are likely to be returned, then all the options are inside you.

If you are using a wallet that doesn't support bitcoin cash well then your bitcoin maybe losts forever, practice to always double check the address before doing transactions with cryptocurrencies to prevent lost of your funds.

Exactly, I agree with you. There is no difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash Address. But I have an another number with the special property. That's why my Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash address is different. But I don't send Bitcoin in my Bitcoin address ever.

All I know is that I know nothing.
