I am sending this link to OP so he doesn't need repeating questions which answers have already been given previously. Link to all you need to know on the Merit system: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/merit-new-rank-requirements-2818350
I locked this thread as soon as the Staff gave me a sufficient answer.

But somehow it got unlocked and you replied with an answer that should be marked as spam.

That link you included does not have any mention of removed/deleted threads and getting merit on them. Which is why I checked it out first, but did not see the answer to my question. And that's why I made this thread.

I don't appreciate you using my locked thread for forum signature spam when you can't even answer my question. You just copied and pasted that link as an excuse for post count.

The merit will stay and won't be removed from your profile. You can lock this thread if you find my answer is enough.

I noticed that the activity points you get if you post in a thread that gets deleted... they get taken away per se. What I mean is, the subsequent posts you make won't give you activity posts until you make up for the deleted posts...

So my question is, is it the same for merits in deleted threads? IF someone gives you a merit for a post in a deleted thread, what happens to your next merit received? Will it not count until you make up for the merits you got from deleted threads?
