Playing in high school, football taught me how to control and direct my emotions. More importantly, how to direct those emotions into productive activities.

As a kid, I would struggle with this, and would constantly express my emotions in unhealthy ways. High school football was the best thing that could have happened to me. Learning healthy ways to deal with strong emotions is a life skill that many take a lifetime to learn.

Football in the case of emotion, your view speak volume in me has taught be to be persistent is pursuing if anything , it make me realize you can win today and loose tomorrow if one relent effort but can still win when the effort is made efficient lesson to football hass allot mostly the area of been indomitable if you continue to work hard and cherish the team, but one major thing I don't forget is that you can't do it alone team work make it easier even in life one person can't leave on earth so is in other sphere of life team work is what makes it effectual.

The world of football has provided a lot of meaning and lessons in my life, including in the game of football, cooperation between players to achieve the same goal, this has taught me the importance of working together in everyday life, both in family, school and at work. .
Then good communication between players is very important, so I feel that in everyday life effective communication can help build healthy relationships and prevent misunderstandings. In all sports, of course there are rules, in soccer, players need to follow the rules of the game and carry out tactics with discipline. This taught me the importance of having discipline in everyday life, such as keeping time, respecting the rules and being responsible.

And in every branch of sport, there are bound to be winners or losers, as well as in soccer games, sometimes teams lose or players make mistakes. I can take a lesson from this understanding, namely that it is important to learn from failure, overcome obstacles, get up and keep fighting.

Loving football and playing from a much tender age to this extent, I just had a quick view of my past in football of the pitch and on the pitch, a little of what I have observe and learnt from football are viz;
•To believe in myself.
•Humility.
•To be patient, while trying to hunt down my goals.
•Not to give up in life, that's why we have two halves first half and second half,so as to give a second trail.
•Taught me team work and cooperation.
•Not to be selfish, while trying to get my goals.
A whole lot to say, majority are football lovers and have that which over time they have got to learn, what are viz ?

One word loyalty. Been a man united fan for over 15yrs now. I'm in my 30's & not looking to stop anytime soon😆

It's through foot ball i know that a tree can't make a forest as the popular saying always say, that you need the next person to achieve all your goal in life otherwise their star will be rubbish at the end of the day so to all things in life. That's why when your watch the football star playing they need person to cross the ball or assist them to score alot are there to learn, team work is the number one in all, it also remind me that effort put into work is not waste if you watch football you will notice first to score that return to do only attack without much effort to score more always be at the loosing side at the end if the game it means one must not think he has arrived at any given point till he see the end if end things he engage on. To shorten the whole thing football teaches all base on your way of accessing what it's.

American Football & sports in general can teach you valuable life lessons. They teach teamwork as success often depends on the combined efforts of a team. They teach discipline as athletes must commit to training, practice & adhering to rules. Sports also teach resilience as athletes must overcome setbacks & keep pushing forward. Goal setting too as athletes strive to achieve personal & team objectives. Sport teaches the importance of sportsmanship, fairness & respect.

Football has taught me that the world can still come together as one body and do things that will bring about unity and entertainment across the world. Over the years football have united so many lover of football across the globe because sometimes one can travel to another country and meet someone that supports same club with him and the both of them can just become good friends. When we talk about football, we are definitely referring to a universal language that brings us together irrespective of religion, country, belief, tribe and ethnicity. Football is a language of love as people becomes friends all over the world just because of football as players that moves from one country to another make friends within his teammates and fans also makes friends with one another just simply because they are supporting same team.

Football has taught me never to say never until it's over

And it has also taught me that in life hard work and skills are not just enough to succeed in most cases because  we also need good luck too.

I think without luck nothing can be ever achieved how much we worked hard and how much we planned for something but if we didn't have a good luck then we can't ever get the better results. I have always learn one thing about the luck, that we have to work hard until our last breath but we have to leave the results on the luck.

As my father taught me on thing work hard and leave the result on the luck, in this case we can get the better result. But the working hard is strictly related to luck the more we work and the more we are following the right path, the more our luck be with us. Even we have made some mistake in a work then also sometimes due to a small mistake we can't get out of the game, these all are due to good luck.

Well I didn't know how to play football when I was at my School at the 10th grade and I don't even like the Football game due to this I didn't even played till 10th Grade.

But then I started to play at my College and that was a Force College in which I learned how to play the Football but mostly my legs were broken there in the Football

Even I was so addicted to the Football when my father stopped me many times but I didn't stopped playing the Football through which I was punished many times by my father when I was sometimes injured in the Football game.
Although it is a good game for health and enjoyed it a lot.

I didn't do a lot of football when I was growing up, I was scared of   breaking my legs cos I didn't foresee a future in football, instead I paid more attention to computer systems.

Learning for me is involving in loads of things and translating the experiences to normal life. It helps me in relating to loads of life's lessons.

These points are not only taught to you by football. These are common in every sport. For example Cricket, Volleyball, Drag race, E-sports etc... Every sport is a good way to learn new things and carry on with your life.

football has taught me over the years that no one is truly your enemy, people only strive to get what they want and most times, the do not care if that's going to hurt you in any way in as much as their goals are achieved.

You have observed all this lessons from soccer because you wanted to learn. Many people have been playing soccer all their lives and have never stopped to think the lessons that can be learnt from the sport, they have just been playing. There are important lessons to learn from every sports, not just football, only those who want to learn will do so. The most important lesson for me from soccer is Teamwork which is important.

Football is such a beauty as it is so much excitement that has brought brought joy, unity, healing, fame, wealth etc to people of the world

It is important to also note that football has brought trauma and pains to some others though that has been a product of mindset anyways.

However, generally
Playing football or knowing the game of football has given us alot of positive life lessons to mention a few.

It will teach you preparation and descipline, because, if you must win in the game, you have to train and prepare with your teammates whenever there is a match to play.
Note: 'In life, failure to plan ahead of time is planning to fail'

Teamwork, cooperation selflessness is a must in football because a tree can never make a forest as far as the game is concerned. The game is a team game and the beauty of the game is the team cohesion and manipulation of the ball until a goal is scored.
Note: 'No man is an island' You need people as much as they need you.

Football teaches you to be competitive and determined. This is a must in life because whatever you want in life has more than a million people who want the same thing so you must work harder to achieve it.

Football is goal-oriented. At the end of it all, the euphoria of the game is winning.
No one is excited when they loose.
In life, you must do your best to achieve your goal.

If you didnt win, it means you didnt try hard enough.
So go again.
Try again...to win.

I like adding to this on saying that football is a game play it. As relating it to life, also saying it that life is a game, play it. Taking that aspect of goal scoring at the goal post area and all the defenders and attackers trying to get rid of the ball from your leg, push you down and get injury on you and spetactors gearing and some wishing you downfall but player keep strong to the ball and persist to score and score the ball into the post while some spectators happy, some not happy. This is about real life also. You persist to succeed against the world, all the obstacles coming on the road like when you want to score a goal to the net.

I think playing football has taught me so many valuable skills and contributed greatly to my success today. I started playing recreationally around 10 years old and played for many years.
Being on a team and aligning on a goal is such a great skill that has translated to everyone of my work projects as an adult. Playing football also taught me a lot of discipline because when you’re young it comes easy but to stay competitive you have to continue to refine your skills.
Having the discipline to continue to improve, even when you don’t feel like it, is something that I carry with me into everything I do today.

Football can teach a whole lot of things and you either learn the easy or hard way.
For some individuals who can be so impatient, football can make you patient. How? Imagine as a player on the field, all your aim is to score,  a very good and important target, but if you lack patience, it will be impossible. Just like life, we all have our set goals an targets, but when we lack patience, we end up putting our hands in things that will lead us no where

If there is anything I've learnt personally from football and I'm trying to apply in life, is the need to still remain humble. No matter how good of a player I am, I create opportunities for goal, I hit target when I put my mind to it; all these will be futile if I let pride get in the way.. I can always be replaced as no man is indispensable, no matter how good I am.

Football a great sport it is. I’ve learnt so much about football that I can’t imagine ever leaving or quitting football now even as I only play it in my street environment. Football taught me the spirit of teamwork, patience, hardwork, persistency, hopefulness and lots more. With what I have learnt in football, I can boldly say any life challenge that comes my way.
Football is really a great sport. It teaches us patience and stamina.
It also teaches us team work and hard-work - now a days - people are well aware that there is one more key to success with hard-work and that is consistency.

Football has taught me a whole of things, first football has thought me in life that you just have to be patient, prayerful and hardworking, the three things work hand-in-hand that if you really want to get to the highest level. Football Has also thought me that you have to be consistent in everything you do, You can't keep fluctuating. And let me lastly say you have to believe and trust in God and be patient with the process, because everything takes time to yield.

Football is a game of intelligence, not just a game of sport. There are certain areas it is similar to life.

Football is unpredictable
It is filled expectations; both from you and your fans
A game of patience and above all
Determination.
Football has taught me a whole lot and I'd say, I'm still learning.

Although the title leaves it all open, that is, without the experience of sport practice,  in OP it takes it as an example of experience in practice.

I was fortunate because I started practicing from kid formally until reach the youth category ... but in the reality of life many of the things you name have come as examples of life for other experience factors, but certainly the soccer or football leaves training, commitment and friendships forever with those who were at that early stage, this may not happen in the more advanced categories, but it is incredible to found friends for years without seeing and remember certain games, plays, goals...

I do not know if humility, be patient, not surrender in life and even work as a team, can you learning  it with this sports, maybe I work all that for you, what is really important is having good coaches in those stages as kid is fundamental, by those years it allowed me to see coaches who knew how to handle that.

On the other hand, football has a lot of teaching for those who do not practice it, teachers-trainers, masseurs, speakers, commentators, people who work in the stadiums, parents, hey!! parents, I can not leave out my parents, they did not practice football but always supported me, I think that's great for me the special relationship that made football with my father for those years without doubt flowers right now that I write and leave me a nostalgia, pretty feelings.

Indeed it’s a good field sport and one of the most popular games in the world. I have learnt how to manage a team, to achieve team goals, teamwork, sportsman's spirit self-esteem the importance of self-motivation, and never give up.
It really enhances the abilities and personality of the player.
Also, it involves physical exercise as well. Which is mandatory in the current ERA as we are so much involved in this new digital technology that we don’t have time for physical exercise?

Yeah all of this really does count.
As a versatile defender and midfielder, I have learnt to lead and direct from the back, this is a very good feature and quality of a good leader.
I got to know what sportsmanship really means,I have been a biased viewer of football, but with time, I changed gradually.
