Thanks for clarifying. What I'm understanding is that a secure hard copy of the seed phrase is the fundamental action taken to create a recovery method.

Yes. That is why it is important to have a few backups of your seed in different places. Don't forget to encrypt it in case someone finds it and steal your bitcoins. Using passphrase is a good idea in such case because it works like a 25th seed word. It is much easier to remember one word, isn't it? A lot of people have lost their BTC because they haven't backed up their seed properly. There are companies which sell fireproof and waterproof seed storage.

What if you physically damaged your hardware wallet. What sort of recovery process is there?

I really think that you can still access it as long as you still have your seed. So, having a hard wallet is not just enough. Make sure to make a hard copy of your seed, so that in case of emergency, you could still access your bitcoin even if you don't have your hard wallet anymore.

this is a question ..?
but does not have a word purpose .. what if your wallet is stolen person, what is that mean ..?
it's a mistake for you to keep all the secrets of your personality that should not be known to others. This is very harmful if you lose your wallet ...

what if bitcoin is unstopable on your country?
what do you feel and what is you reaction?
everyone knows that bitcoin is so valueable and it is a high currency

I don't think you are providing OP with the information he needs and just asking question that is not necessary, I have seen that all have provided some ways in regaining your coins when your Hardware wallet had been damage, lost, or stolen that is thanks to the passphrase provided by your wallet this is the most important thing you need, to keep it safe. They are what provides you the ownership of your coins. You must never reveal them, even if it got stolen a thief cannot access your coins, However if this Passphrase are the ones that have lost then your coins are lost forever.

Ok, so it's no different than recovering any other wallet. Thanks.

Some countries will ban Bitcoin and other countries will try to profit from it, it 's always been like this.
Moving to Malta would be no big deal for me, or at least open a bank account there.
It is true that places of residence with real freedom are becoming less and less in this world, sad.

What if you physically damaged your hardware wallet. What sort of recovery process is there?

Which wallet do you use? The reputable hardware wallets allow you to load your bitcoin (or supported coins) balance to a new device as long as you have your passphrase (the 20+ random words given when you first established your account) and any PIN or secret pass word you've added for additional security. Do you have these security protection items? If so, buy a new device (the same brand) and enter your passphrase and password/PIN and you should be back to where you were before the damage occurred.

This is actually what is nice with hardware wallets...anybody can still recover as long as one has kept the passphrase serving as the key to the account. Of course, if one has lost the passphrase then there is nothing we can do about it. The best thing to do is to print the passphrase and have copies in secured places away from scammer and hackers as well as family members or friends who might use it for their own evil purpose.

Well, I have what you say a contingency plan in cases like these happens which you should never hold all of your bitcoin in your wallet one should sell some and save some not store all because you have to think all of the worst-case scenarios and worst thing that could eventually happen or occurred. Also, the first you should is select the best and most trusted wallet out there and never forgot your pin code or password.

first choose a wallet that has a lot of users because it proves safe, and you also need to have the initial password provided in the wallet when you first make the wallet and do not have to worry if there is damage to the wallet
