it should be a worldwide blackout to affect all the masternodes. unless you manage to do that, nothing really happens

just out of curiosity if all masternodes went down at same time (global US blackout or w/e) and i mean literally all masternodes for a coin goes down for say like a couple hours... what then? do they just wait for power to come back up and just resume or would everything be off sync because everything isn't on same time?
there's always a backup
in this case, there are more than 1 master node that user can't control. the developers in control of that nodes,
if someone trying to turn off all the nodes, so there's always some left to keep the net running.

How tough? I mean there needs to be a global natural disaster or something. Masternodes for coins are usually all over the world unless they are some obscure small new coins. Bigger coins have followers and the masternodes provide amazing globalization for the coin. When a coins masternodes are from 20+ different countries how is it possible that all of them would go down at the same time ?

I think we need to reconsider the fact that masternodes are not centralized and they are just as decentralized as anything in crypto. However like the others said if something happens to masternodes all at once (however unlikely it is) than the network will go down and transactions won't be passed, it will just get stuck like while downloading something and the internet goes.

if all the masternodes come down at the same time, there is clearly parelization that makes everyone disappointed, even though every masternode war project at that time

Everything will stop, just like you are using a computer and lose power. There is only one black color and it will work again when the buttons in the masternodes come back

The network would shut, but that should happen even if only a sensible number of nodes go down, since you require to have a good number of trustable ones for safety.

I do not like to keep masternodes payback from them is very long especially in the fall of the market. Then you have to work for free and even at a loss. In a bear market, in general, a coin can fall to zero and you lose all the money that was invested there. When the market is growing, of course, you can make good money, but you should not wait for such a result.

If all the Masternodes went down then so would the network so no transactions could take place. When things were restarted they would resync and begin making transaction from the last block that was completed and confirmed. If something powerful enough to shutdown all the nodes around the world was to take place you would probably have much greater worries than just your cryptocurrencies.

It would be a horror for the crypto market, because a lot of coins from top 100 are masternodes, but on the other hand, there are still some other great coins left, that are not based on the masternode principles.
Lol tit would not. There was a lot of coins that are not using masternode. this will give impact to the network but it doesn't give any impact to another network. They have been building it in their own network. The demand of this coin will go to another coin because it's useless to hold your masternode coin.

Its literally not possible and not gonna happen. But if thats gonna happen, not all masternodes are fully sync at the same time. The masternode coins relies on their blockchain syncing. But if it stops, then it restart, the masternode will run back again, normal.

And what is not clear? I think that the network in this case will simply stop working, because there will be no handlers for this network, if it is not profitable for the masternode holders, then believe me they will immediately finish the work with this project.

The network will go down. Master nodes are what's securing the network and getting the transactions confirmed, If they're down, transactions won't go through anymore. Think of it like the miners for coins that uses POW instead of POS.
