If bitcoin crash more the price. I will buy more altcoins and the altcoin that I buy most is the ethereum because that coin is posisble to become next bitcoin. But right now even bitcoin already crash the value it will pump again so it's good to buy also bitcoin and altcoins.

Nobody can authoritatively claim that a certain cryptocurrency will be very good to always maintain an uptrend. It is not possible. For example, if one leaves bitcoin for another altcoin, such person may be faced with the same challenge he was previously trying to avoid. Even if bitcoin price is down right now, you will have to understand that the price will still go up.

I believe in bitcoin and the same doesn't let me think about the crash of bitcoin. I used to diversify my earnings which assures me added security on the investment. Nothing to worry about, because bitcoin along with the cryptocurrencies were the future for each and every transaction. So, at any point there is no need of thinking about crash or failure.

I think that may be good option to move your bitcoins into Etherum or another crypto currency. It would help to save at least some money. I'm just wander about wouldn't the fall of bitcoin affect on other crypto currencies to fall?
I don't think that option will help us to safe our money when bitcoin crash because all crypto currency are volatility, there is no coins can stay in the same price for a long time. when bitcoin crash we can hold it and do not need worry too much because bitcoin price will increase again and we can sell it in the higher value.

If you plan to put your Bitcoin into alt when Bitcoin crash then that is a wrong move, usually when Bitcoin fall, the alt will also fall down, if you know Bitcoin will fall the safest option is to exchange it to Fiat or usdt, usdt is the most stable coin, but most people will choose fiat

What happens to the top crypto will also happen to altcoin. So if the btc price goes down, expect that alts will show the same movement. For example the recent fall, see others also in red. So i'll ask you, why would you put your money into other currency if the same situation is happening with them? Btc is capable of recovering from hundred to thousand of bucks in a short period of time while alts are not. Think of it, that's why others is just holding.

For example, if bitcoin is going to crash and I exchanged it into $1200 Ethereum lets say. And it goes down to $800 USD, will the Ethereum value go down?

Could you exchange your bitcoin into another currency to be protected from a crash?
I think Coins like Doge, LTC , USDCOIN all of these are 99.9% stable always in the same price, 0.01% prob that you are very very very unlucky and it drop when you buy but I don't think it will happen.

What do you think ?
If Bitcoin crash all altcoin will follow including Ethereum. The only safe way to prevent from losing is if you convert it to fiat and buy at low price. The only question is if you are aware when will be the next pump  of bitcoin because if the price goes up and you didn't buy, you might end up losing too.

How does someone know a Cryptocurrency whose price is going to crash and move away from it? If you run from bitcoin and move to ethereum, how sure are you that ethereum won't crash too? We won't have such a good market if anyone has specific answers to the above questions.

This is also what i'm afraid to happen and I hope not, but we should take extra precautions for whatever happen to bitcoin, for now my bitcoin still as is on my bitcoin wallet and i'm not selling it for this current bitcoin price and i think their will be a signal for everyone of us here if bitcoin will go crash anyway, but i trust bitcoin that are going to moon in this coming few weeks or month.
If you trace back the time period of this post, for sure you will still appreciate how bitcoin did, from that time bitcoin arises to $1200 considering that the right now can fall to same level we also see the same thing will happen to other alts which are still leaning with how bitcoin succeed, keeping your bitcoin and wait for another blow out would be the best thing to do, even it will take more months or years again.

That's what I've been thinking too mate and I agree with your thoughts. Probably investors will withdraw all their money in crypto if ever bitcoin will collapse or die because I also believe that btc is the soul of crypto and it will affect all the alternate coins if ever that will happen.

Define 'collapse' first, then we can talk. If Bitcoin really goes to zero, another coin will just take its place.
Too many projects are already running on the Ethereum chain for it to fail. Well, it can still fail of course but it's just very unlikely.

The market will probably lose a lot of investments, but not everything, there will be opportunists waiting to invest more.

In my views, I don't think bitcoin could crash and no other coin could replace the original cryptocurrency which is btc. People should not be carried away for every huge dips since bitcoin is volatile in nature, normally such bear market could happen anytime but will recover again.

First I don’t think that it could ever be possible that bitcoin could crash , bitcoin is very sustainable, versatile and very volatile crypto currency and has made very tremendous progress since year 2008 and has millions of users all around the world so I don’t think that it could crash even because it is not that easy to divert the mind of millions of people around the world but if we look at the alternative of bitcoin then etherum could be the choice.

The price might goes up and down because bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency's price is volatile but still bitcoin is still bitcoin and it will not crash. Let's not talk about the negativity in bitcoin instead we talk about the positive sides and keep promoting bitcoin to all people mostly the investors.

I guess there are people who are doing that but that needs a lot of effort just saving your bitcoins from the crash. But it's better not to do that because you might miss your bitcoins from doing that. Since you are making two markets better to stay with simply holding your coins out and don't get panic, this is just a normal thing.

If badly needed and crash could possibly happened I must be into tough decision just for my own welfare, and avoid lossing what I've sacrificed to have. I must decide to exchanged my money which is the bitcoin to fiat currency and cash it out from my wallet through fiat cash bank and save it in my account deposit. With that option I can make it safer and in the future, that money will be use for better purposes.

The only other currency that I could think of that really would be safe to the point of having no issues with the bitcoin price flucation would be FIAT currencies such as USD which are not going to be affected by Bitcoin in the least, they may even increase value (alongside other FIAT currencies of course) People on here may say the best bet is going to be some shitcoin but it's going to have an issue exchanging back into bitcoin so I'd just go ahead and switch to USD if you fear a crash incoming of any sort.

If this would happen I would stop using crypto currency for a while until I see the next main currency that would substitute bitcoin. I don't trust my money in any altcoin, it's too risky, and at first point it would be a mess, everybody trying to predict the next bitcoin currency.
Me as a little investor, a little fish, couldn't influence anything, I can just follow the whales hoping to make some profit with their choices.

I wouldn't want to put my money and trust in the face of the whales, they don't care for anything but some profit.

In the fist illustration most alts price are determined in relation to bitcoin which means a decrease in the price of bitcoin means their value to bitcoin will increase and vice-versa eg. If 10eth will get say 0.1 btc when the price is 1000USD and the price of bitcoin falls, it means ETH has appreciated as the same 10ETH can now get say 0.2btc.

On the other part, I believe that is the logical thing to do as even we have seen countries move their foreign reserves from one currency to a more stable currency...

I could just move them back into US dollars or get them traded into ethereum or any other potential Altcoin. It's just that simple but I'm hopeful Bitcoin will never crash.

I will do the same thing.  Probably I will look for the most stable altcoin (stable buy support) and convert my BTC when a crash is inevitable for BTC.  During Bitcoin price declining, price of several altcoin tend to increase.  So it is the best way to convert your BTC.  Convert it at the start of decline then convert it at the start of surging up.  We just need to pay attention to the market closely  because one wrong move and we lost all the profit even the percentage of BTC we have.

Decentralization is the most awesome and the most disturbing feature of bitcoin. This is the reason we have all these questions: when, what if bitcoin will crash.
It's because no one will guarantee you that price will be stable, there is no authority behind bitcoin, no central bank which will assure you that everything will be ok.
No wonder people's faith in BTC is so thin.

Price decrease normally happen so better just hold whatever you have in bitcoin since in the long run, if you really believe that bitcoin is for long term investment, will eventually reached again it's considered high price.

And while doing that, use your extra funds to diversify your investment by taking the risk of investing in other alts like the one you mentioned as an example.

Bitcoin crash is different from bitcoin price crash.

@OP is an interesting view but you don’t really think that, do you? Do you believe that altcoins is a safe heaven if bitcoin crashes? I believe that alts are useful in many cases like as when I believe some rumors and I feel that I will do a trade profit and I am in risky mood, or when I want to do some micropayments due to high transaction fees of bitcoin network; but all alts will not survive if bitcoin dies. Therefore, because we are near the ETF's approval or rejection from SEC and many people have their fingers in the trigger, anyone believes that odds are against the approval then he can go with fiat or real commodities like as gold and silver.

Define "crash". Bitcoin market is volatile and I can't see any change to in in foresable future.
If Bitcoin will fall really hard to the point of never recovering then I don't think another cryptocurrency would be the way to go.
General masses will lose faith in digital, decentralized currencies and convincing users again that "this time with altcoin X won't be like that time when BTC fell" will be hard.

Bitcoin is the fundamental of all alts, without it, no sense to put big money to other currency.

Yes definitely, the price will increase after all but in what specific or particular currency you used if bitcoin will crash?

Well for me, i would rather to wait when bitcoin will come back and re-build again. But i dont think if would really happen into bitcoin since it is more progressive and used by many people around the world.

What if it doesn't? Like there was a news that a super duper mega quantum computer was built to hack into bitcoins and steal everybody's money, that will definitely kill bitcoin and every user will move on. In that event, I think I will not be placing my money back into another currency, unless there is real surety that it cannot be hacked.

if you want a quick profit then yeah why not, a lot of the altcoins are good options for a quick investment to take some quick money from their pump and dumps but not for the long term, you should always remember to get out of them fast as soon as there was a rise.

and don't worry too much about bitcoin price, it is temporary and it is not a crash. it is just a correction.

Why bother to do that? It will just give you more things to think in the long run. A headache for those who are really not familiar with the things related in crypto world.

First of all, what do you meant for a bitcoin crash? A price decrease only or bitcoin will become doomed? If for price decrease, then just let it go that way. In the long term, surely it will regained again it's pumping status so no worries here even the price decrease too much. If for a doomed thing, then putting money to other cryptocurrency is useless too since if bitcoin will becomed doomed, so on with the other alts.

Of course you can put your money in another cryptocurrency if you think you may be "safe". However others cryptos are not safe from any crash. The propability can be less or more compared to bitcoin, but can't be zero. So it is something to consider too
I don't think that bitcoin crash is possible. Price of bitcoin can go up or down rapidly, it's normal thing. It can go down to $800, but I don't think it would be crash.
I think buying of altcoins are much more risky than holding bitcoins. You are not right that your mentioned coins have very stable price. It's also going up and down more or less. And if bitcoin would become much cheaper rapidly, I think it can have big influence to altcoin markets.
When the price goes down of 50$, you can read some news here and there saying Bitcoin is crashing ! LOL

Playing safe. Hmm could work if the website wallet could turn your altcoin in USD directly. But I doubt that alt will not be pulled down also with the bitcoin crash. It is somehow connected. So why make it harder when you could just stay with bitcoin which is more reliable than alts which are disappearing anytime they want.

Best option is to just exchange your bitcoin into fiat when price start to get some correction like right now and wait till it stops getting dumped. Than buyback cheap bitcoin with that fiat you have, buying other alts during bitcoin price dump may not always lead to profit and it is quite likely that other alts price in terms of fiat will remain almost same or even less when bitcoin get correction.

Slava Ukraini!

I stand with Ukraine.
the recent small crush is nothing that we have not already seen in the past, if you are worried because bitcoin tanked by $10 then it's better if you leave bitcoin, because this kind of swings will always be there no matter the adoption size

and frankly speaking putting your money on any alt is far more dangerous, their swings are soemthign like 100%+, bitcoin in comparison is very stable...

I personally like the fact that now we are calling "crush" declining of the price to $1,180. Really, it's great, guys.

On investing in other cryptos, I agree, it's far more risky than investing in Bitcoin.

Do nothing, because the price will rising back.

Well, who knows when the roller coaster ride will end for a proper stability to ensue. You might be risking too much especially if you have more bitcoins.

If bitcoin will crash it will affect all cryptocurrency. The reason is that all cryptocurrency is using bitcoin as a medium of exchange. If bitcoin will crash then people will be selling all their cryptocurrency since they will lost their trust on this kind of currency. Everything will crash and not just bitcoin. Bitcoin is the foundation of cryptocurrency without bitcoin everything will just shut down.

This are technical issues as converting your bitcoin to others crypto currencies because bitcoin crash against dollars is not always a wise decision from experience. I noticed that bitcoin and eth move in parallel against dollar, what this mean is that when bitcoin is weak against dollar eth and others altcoins are always weak against dollars too. So you have to test your thoughts first on live market sir.

I agree with you I also experienced that buying  other altcoin sometimes ending up your money to bankrupt Base on my experience. but sometimes you will earn also but there is no guarantee that it will happen. you can also exchange it to Fiat if your worried  that btc will continue to drop then buy back again if you satisfied in that price.

On cryptocurrency theres always a crash. And thats called pump and dump. Thats a normal thing. Meaning, we are not safe from crashing. Why will we pull out our money to bitcoin? Besides, bitcoin is very strong crypto. It could easily recover from crashing. We all know that. Cryto is risky. And bitcoin is worth to risk your money for.

All I know is that I know nothing.

crash or in other words price of bitcoin going down doesn't mean bitcoin dying and you should move into an altcoin!

have you even checked the price history of any of these altcoins?
they get dumped a lot and the swings are as big as 100%-500% up and can be as big as 90% drop

LTC has been stable but not by a lot and it certainly is not 99% stable you are making stats up!
and the chances of drop of all these altcoins are 90% and more.

People still doesn't realized bitcoin is high risk, can crash everytime. Yesterday it crash 1282 to 1000. and not also good for investment. How much ROI can you get from it? 2x 3x? Too dificult. While other altcoins can made profit easy and also good for long term.

I don't have believe in othe cryptocurrencies other than  bitcoin becuse bitcoin doesn't have any centralized agencies and other currencies have some sorts of control of other people directly or indirectly so i belive only in bitcoin and i would love to use only bitcoin.
I surely agree on this . As Haji said , Other cryptos have been controlled by some agencies which may lead to crash but the bitcoin may not crash .

edited : Secondly we are seeing that many new altcoins are coming in the Bitcoin network and also many of going per month , so I think it is more better to convert your Bitcoin in Fiat than in any other altcoins .
Here we have more trust in Fiat after Bitcoin because Fiat usually don't get crash from its initial value .
So we have more better option than the cryptocurrency .

I think that may be good option to move your bitcoins into Etherum or another crypto currency. It would help to save at least some money. I'm just wander about wouldn't the fall of bitcoin affect on other crypto currencies to fall?

if bitcoin goes down to $800 you should buy as much as you can in my opinion because first of all it won't go that low second of all that would be a good opportunity to buy cheap coins before it goes back up.

but if you want to invest in other altcoins you certainly can but it is not wise at all to invest in altcoins such as ethereum that are manipulated and are getting pump and dumped.

p.s. you need to see some charts by the way because the prices of coins you named (i don't know what the hell USDCOIN is) have never been stable.

Actually this is one way of preserving the current USD value of your holdings.  As far as I know ETH and other altcoins are independent from Bitcoin price, so whenever Bitcoin price goes stronger, if the altcoins cannot go up with the BTC increase, then they will be less in BTC.  Sometimes they are inversely proportional.

About the drop in price, there is always a possibility that there is a drop in price in altcoin during the conversion.  We cannot avoid that.  But sometimes we can profit from the conversion if we manage to convert before the market price go against our holdings.

For bitcoin I 100% believe that the losses that I got this now (when buying a bitcoin later the price down) is something that will surely give me an advantage in the future. Because the price of the bitcoin is not stable and will certainly culminate in a very large price increase, so when the price of the bitcoin down then I would keep it and wait until the price goes up again. Because I see a maximum price limit bitcoin down 4 years after the Ascension (Ascension of the difficulty level of mining). you need to know, that the losses in the bitcoin is only temporary and in the future for sure you will get a bigger profit (if you are impatient)

I think people should not trade BTC unless they know the market. ETF approval s always been big time dubious and this shorting of Bitcoin positions is something to be expected. Yes, it will go down, bellow 1000. Whether it ll go all the way to 800, not sure, but this is quite possible.

So, yes, if I had any significant BTC positions, I d switch to Factom since that one is way below it s average market price. Etherum s been pumped recently so I really do not expect much there in terms of price growth.
