You are an anonymous friend if you promote Bitcoin
Your point seem out of place mate
Technologies of this present generation were of no doubt not in existence in the primitive era as well as the knowledge bounding digital currencies therefore it is not possible for Bitcoin to even exist if it's knowledge which includes the technology supporting it doesn't exist.

I am not sure if it is even wise to engage in discussions about topics that seem nonsensical.

To begin with, Bitcoin's existence in the past would have been impossible due to the lack of essential technologies such as the internet and computers. Without these technologies, the digital world that Bitcoin thrives in would not have existed. Secondly, the financial and economic systems of the past, which relied on physical commodities like gold and silver for currency, were vastly different from the digital world of Bitcoin.
You just hit the nail on the head. The olden days lacks the infrastructures and technological tools for bitcoin to flourish. If it were in the ancient days how would people be able to mine bitcoin? No computer and no internet? The OP should be aware that bitcoin is a digital coin and we've progressed from the stone age, iron age to the computerized age.

If Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency existed in the old days then anyone who knows or discover what it is made from then they can duplicate it and that's the difference between the old days and present because we have technology that the old days doesn't have and it also make it hard for people to duplicate Bitcoin. In the old days, I can only imagine that if cryptocurrency exist in the old days then it is much the same as gold where anyone can own gold and its value also change depends on supply and demand. However, there might be a group of people or an organization that will take control of the place where people can mine gold and will be able to manipulate the price of gold or its value.

If you make a list about the similarities of Bitcoin and gold then you'll understand what I mean on what it's like if crypto currency existed in the old days although we know Bitcoin may be a little bit the same as gold but there are things that makes Bitcoin different from gold or even fiat currency.

Bitcoin exist as a result of modernization and technology, in the olden days there is no record machines that stores records and that's means there was no way any coins could reach the world not to talk of trading.

All the coins you mentioned are ancient money biblically which it do not exist again after Jesus leaves the earth. Dude, bitcoin actually exist at the right time because Satoshi and his colleagues were formally educated and they were able to build digital coins systems that reaches the world.

Am surprised you have been in Crypto-currency even if it’s a day and not known that crypto-currency is simply digital finance, and in your own imagination how would that have existed in those days.

The properties that would require Bitcoin to exist wasn’t around those day, how about the mining process, now if you not mining with sophisticated computers you would not stand the competition, I see the technological aspect of Crypto-currency in general even evolving further.

Bitcoin could not have been introduced in the olden days because of the technology that was available then. Many people don't even have access to the internet then not talk about having the knowledge of it.

Let's say that technology enabled Bitcoin in days prior to 2008, or even in these periods of time that used reserve currencies prior to the USD...Bitcoin most likely would have been dismissed. Why? Before the USD, older societies and their currencies usually lasted until the end of their empire's reign. There was no reserve currency which influenced any near as many countries as USD does today since both technology and globalization were not/not near as prevalent or capable of being prevalent in these era's.

Bitcoin was a response to the global financial crisis which highlighted that the United States and the USD who cheated the collapse of its currency by bailing out failed institutions and re-enabled the flawed system.  Bitcoin addresses a flawed currency that continues to cheat its death and is obviously becoming a threat to the people. Until the information age, it was almost impossible to prove this, or keep a record of the history that proves validates its flaws (abolishing gold standard, printing money, fractional reserve banking, wide-scale fraud, etc.)

Bitcoin is a digital currency and so such technology doesn't exist at that time. The idea of Blockchain existed more than a decade before Bitcoin was   created but it was having a flaw which was fix  by the Proof of Work Mechanism

Bitcoin's past is only limited to 2008-2009, it will not go further than that.
and that year Satoshi Nakamoto began to publicize about Bitcoin and its technology, and introduced it on this forum.

If the OP imagines that Bitcoin was present in the past, when Digital technology has not been invented and all kinds of transactions still use a barter system or metal currency that is far from modern economic technology.
That is an imagination that is out of reason and history in Bitcoin, because it is not in line.

If the imagination envisioned by the OP can occur in the past, then the civilization of the past was more sophisticated,
and now it may have entered the advanced Modern era.
All sophisticated robots will exist and all jobs will be replaced by robots (like in a fictional movie).

The OP's question is just a hypothesis and should only be responded to casually.

I never said it was possible, I only gave an instance I said now imagine if it was developed centuries ago how would it have affected the future now. May be we would be more advanced now In the crypto space.
I will start my statement using Satoshi words from the bitcoin whitepaper,  where he said that bitcoin should be left to evolve at it own pace and it happens over time, and so long as bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency it white papers covers much more of a general concept to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency developments over time.

Why I shared this thought with you is for the fact that time and development have happen, and industrialization and globalization have brought with it demands alternative currencies Bitcoin is designed for the now and future and Bitcoin is open source so anyone can contribute to its networks, in the olden days a lot of services where unavailable such as a computer that could have aided the development.

That's if time traveling machine actually existed then, we will transfer the technology of the 21st century back to the old days to make that possible. I never even for one day think that one we ever have such imagination.
OP, ordinarily there are things that shouldn't just be imagined because their is never a possibility for them to become a reality

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
Science and resources were limited only to making these physical coins, so they had become humanity's most advanced financial technology in their time.
When talking about the future, maybe the idea offered will be more than just electronic money which is never thought of today and it will continue as far as resources are able to support it.

It's an unsubstantiated hypothesis and nothing to discuss. Bitcoin was created and can exist thanks to the internet as well as electricity, so how was it created in the olden days when people lived in caves? Even Bitcoin today is not impacting the economy, what Bitcoin is affecting is only on a personal level, and it is just a speculative asset without any real benefit for us.

I guess you just represented bitcoin as something of value at that time as a yardstick or you created synonyms with the coins but sadly it didn't find any match and because it has different elements from bitcoin which is fully digital with natural mineral units which burned into precious metals.

I am not sure if it is even wise to engage in discussions about topics that seem nonsensical.

You could say this in the 30th century to make your picture clearer, lol. today you can only hallucinate and imagine to your heart's content and mind, we will see that I can make transactions with rural farmers by simply attaching my cell phone to their device without a pile of paper issued by the bank.

what if Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies existed In the old days? how would it have affected their economy. would it have hasten technological developments and maybe by now we could have been in the most advance planet in the universe?
Having a way of transacting through the internet seamlessly and without any regulations at a time where horses, donkeys and carts were the only means of transportation would definitely have impacted that economy. Today it does not have much effect on the economy at all.

There is no benchmark to measure the most advanced planet or species in the universe, but if there was I doubt we would be high on the rating. As Neil deGrasse Tyson talks on: since we know so little about the universe and are not aware of any other specie we are surely not the most advanced in the universe.

It would be unwise to even consider Bitcoin in those days. Back then, technology was in its early stages, and there were no means to connect the world as we have now with the internet. Computers and fabrication technologies did not exist, and there were no programmers. How could something as sophisticated as Bitcoin could exist in such environment?

Let us assume that if something like Bitcoin had existed in those times, how could the common man use it? It would have required knowledge of some sort of supernatural power to access something that was invisible to the naked eye, intangible, and could not be carried like physical items such as gold coins. It is entirely implausible, and entertaining such thoughts would be foolish.

For Bitcoin to run you would need the internet, technologies and electricity. Back in the days for a simple computer to run which contains a small storage, there's already pile of wires therefore for people to have access to this they would need to afford that pile of wires to have access to computer. Not only that internet before is not even a thing back then, so how will you observe the volatile situation of Bitcoin without the internet? It would be hard for them to have transactions especially its a decentralized system. I think the time Bitcoin exist is just the right time since we already have those mentioned earlier in that era. Maybe in the next decades Bitcoin would evolve more and might pump to the moon.

This is a big surprise thinkíng maybe Bitcoin had existed before now. The same way you have thought about it, you need explain how you presumed it would be used and transacted without the availability of the internet. If you are thinking of Bitcoin as a fiat currency then I would not have to argue about that but if you think Bitcoin had existed as a digital currency in the past the same way we are using it now then I think you may be wrong.

The Internet was never available in the aging days so there was no way transactions would be processed without the help of the internet. Civilization had not advanced to the level we are now seeing it compared to many years back.

I couldn't help but reply to this thread.
Why say what would happen if? What would happen if the sun were blue and the moon green?
OP, there's a saying: "If grandma had balls, she'd be grandpa." Grin
So, what if you were more advanced in cryptocurrencies now? This is not the time to talk about what could be.

Still, the financial needs of ancient people were no more complex than we are today and humans wouldn't think of solutions before problems occurred. The financial system has to be flawed to some degree, to give birth to brilliant ideas and solutions like bitcoin.

what if Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies existed In the old days?

That would have been absolutely great because it means in those old days they would have been also having:
* electricity
* advanced (!) computers (including memory, storage), programming languages
* internet

That means absolutely everything would have been evolving much faster, there would have been much less diseases and wars. Plus slavery would have been ended at least 2000 years earlier.
On the other hand, we may be now already suffocated by plastic waste, much worse than we are now.

PS. My answer meant to also show how pointless your question was.

Happy Easter Mate ,
Bitcoin can't exist in the old days, because the old generation don't have the kind of technology we have now.

In the old days, there was nothing like the computer system, nor were there internet connections. Programming is only possible with the use of a computer, and Bitcoin is programmed.
The old days lacked things that could have made it possible for Bitcoin to exist then.

*TALENT: used to measure precious metals most especially gold and silver was known as the most accepted coin or currency in the old testament. I do think that this was the Bitcoin of the olden days. it actually still existed during and after the time of Jesus death.of which Jesus did mentioned in some of his parables.

*SHEKEL, was used as a measure of gold and silver in various cultures in the region, including the Israelites, Babylonians, Persians, and Greeks  which were known for their  wealth and prosperity.

*DENARIUS, was a silver coin, used in Rome during the time of Jesus. it was a standard pay for a days job in Rome which was the richest and most powerful country at that time.

*DRACHMA:  used in ancient Greek as silver. at that time, it was used in countries including isreal.

*MINA it was used in the mesopotamia to measure silver and gold. in was also accepted in many countries including Babylon, Persian and Greece.

(This image was gotten from Google free research)

most of these coins existed during the period of Jesus birth and death and had values in their respective times. do you think if  Bitcoin  was developed in the old days it could have brought about technological developments and maybe we would now be having more advanced crypto technologies as at now.
