Well.. thats a risk of a bubble.. losing it all. The worth of BTC has goin up insanely fast. We all can hope that it drops not to low (when it drops and boi it will). If it drops so badly low, I don't think it will ever recover then.

There are some whales who held hundreds of thousands of bitcoins, if they decide to dump, the price goes to zero. I am aware of that.

I only allocate what I can afford to lose to bitcoin/altcoins. It would bother me but I'd probably, like the rest of the people here buy more.

it's always good to have a backup plan. you can't rely on something that isn't 100% guaranteed. i love how you all think.

it's okay, as long as it does not affect the exchange rate of my country's currency..

I would not freak out more than I already do with losing money while trading or startup mining, its something that everyone should have in the back of their head with crypto currency. To many people think that they are guaranteed riches just because a large amount of investors are rich from getting in something before them or from other techniques. I do not think it will drop to nothing but I do think there will be big bubbles in the future years that will pop and in return eat up all of the newbs cash.
I have a friend that bought 2 BTC and sold them the same day because it dropped a few thousand dollars, now the price is back up and he feels dumb, those of the newbs that will get eaten up by crytocurrency.

I wouldn't be concerned with the price as much as the reason for why it dropped. The price of Bitcoin will not make me either a rich nor a poor man.
But the effect that made Bitcoin drop to zero will likely affect my life more.

So the question is, why would it drop? If it just dropped to zero (or close to zero) today, I would buy all of them (for nothing).

this is actually very true. there could be multiple reasons as to why it crashes. maybe a huge corporation shuts down, people revolt, governments around do whatever to try to bring it down. the hypothetical possibilities are truly endless.  but you are indeed wise to suggest buying all for nothing. They're so high now, if they went to nothing, who said they wouldn't fly back up?

They're constantly rising & falling. But hypothetically speaking here, what would everyone do if Bitcoin went from the price it is now, to absolutely nothing? What if the altcoins followed? Would you freak out because you lost money? Or just say whatever and not even think twice? I ponder the idea a lot. I personally feel like it would be chaotic. What do you guys think?  Cheesy
