What if literally every company/service in the world accepted bitcoin EXCEPT Runescape? Would bitcoin still be relevant?

Runescape is still a thing?

But anyways, I think it would be a great thing if MMO's adopted to bitcoin, although with the amount of scams (gold scams, etc) going on it would have to highly regulated.

Runescape? You mean that game everyone used to play years ago?
The game is still alive mate. There are constant 40-50k players on. Although not as much as there used to be because the bots are now gone, that is still a large number.

But as far as Jagex accepting bitcoins, that would the best thing ever. I can see some player who have not played in a while jumping on just because they can get a month of membership easily by bitcoins. Someone really should suggest this to Jagex.

What if X accepts Bitcoin!?!?!

We're getting to the point where large companies are accepting Bitcoin and nobody really cares anymore. This is momentum. 2014 truly is shaping up to be the coming of age year of Bitcoin. Cool

Nope. Every single one of us cares. An established merchant accepting Bitcoin would hit frontpage news to most tech/economy related websites.

Of course I care. But these things are losing their novelty (which is entirely good.)

Check this out:

The thread on digital river accepting BTC, and only four posts?! A year ago this would have been groundbreaking news.

Might have made a difference in 2007, but that game has gone to shit. Lost a good 70% of its players and thrives on the annoying types of microtransactions in-game that it promised it would never have.

Bitcoin isn't going to be implemented and if it was, it would not be impactful at all.
