Why do I get the feeling the last 4(minus jackjack) posters are actually one and the same guy?
Due to the ad signature?  Cheesy
And not only, but similar post counts and dates of registrations.

So this is actually legal??? That is just terrible.

no more illegal than me asking you for your email account and password. It's the nsa basically. They are the law and they have their equivalent in every country (despite germany pretending they don't spy on users.)

It always used to amaze me how google/facebook worked as businesses. The answer is they don't. They are propped up for fucking YEARS by hundreds of millions of nsa/cia money and started with nsa/cia venture capital.

It's sick. Bring back altavista

is this real? regardless,

facebook loves importing your contacts but try exporting them anywhere.

#walledgarden

also never underestimate the stupidity of people especially on facebook. I have two accounts a real one and a fake one and the fake one has exponentially more friends. I use neither.

Yup it's real, I've noticed it before but never actually read what it says till just before posting the thread.

and part of facebook rather than some phishing app?
I think it's an App, but it was on the right side on my News Feed.
2010 http://www.insidefacebook.com/2010/07/14/friend-finder-home-page-prompt-impact/
"The Friend Finder was previously linked to from the Get Connected section of the home page’s right sidebar under “Who’s On Facebook? Find your friends”, but required an extra click before submitting your email address. When a user enter their email address on one of these home page tests, Facebook checks to see if their email provider offers an authorization API such as OAuth, like Gmail, Yahoo!, and Windows Live Mail do. If it does, the password field disappears and a permissions box pops up, allowing the user to give Facebook access to their email account without explicitly providing their password."
