It is difficult to learn, but it is very useful in trading. in short, this term refers to the methods of forecasting the market (stock) value of the company, based on the analysis of financial and production indicators of its activities.

What fundamentals does bitcoin (or any crypto) have?  There is no business underlying a coin, which means there's no earnings, no dividends, no management team, or anything else that can be looked at when a person analyzes a stock.

As far as I know, some projects (or upcoming project) wanted to use crypto in their business. Some of them are Airpod, PolicyPal, The 4th Pillar, DiceMoney, Kora, WePower and etc. The holder of their tokens/coin will benefit from profit-sharing (in the future, when their product ready) so I guess you can say there are some coins which are backed by business.

I'd rather call it sentiment analysis when we're talking about how each news is affecting the price of a coin or tokens because sometimes that news I not directly related to that project, but emotionally affect traders feeling on how the crypto economy in general which in turn create a bullish or bearish wave after that.

I think fundamental analysis is still useful to be applied in crypto space, as it is not only see the supply and demand which can be seen easily from the exchange platform. All we get from fundamental analysis is the trigger to create trend and also supply and demand, let's such as MEW hack on last week. I think people could be scary with that news then they will find safer wallet rather than exchange wallet. The impact of that can be known as some significant correction for crypto space.

Fundamental analysts study anything that can affect the token's value, including macroeconomic factors such as the overall market sentiment and condition, and microeconomic factors such as financial & market conditions and project core team. The end goal of fundamental analysis is to produce a quantitative value that an investor can compare with a token's/coin's current price, thus indicating whether the token/coin is undervalued or overvalued.Fundamental analysis is a method of evaluating a token/coin in an attempt to measure its intrinsic value (although most don't have it), by examining related economic, financial and other qualitative and quantitative factors.

Fundamental analysis is the driving factor in the crypto market but that said it is not only limited to it.
I would strongly disagree with most of what's written here and, in general, in this thread.  What fundamentals does bitcoin (or any crypto) have?  There is no business underlying a coin, which means there's no earnings, no dividends, no management team, or anything else that can be looked at when a person analyzes a stock.  Even with gold, you can analyze industrial demand and the state of the mining industry.

With crypto, there's really none of that.  There's only supply and demand.  Mining for bitcoin is waaay different than gold mining.  We know how many bitcoins have already been mined and how many are ever going to exist.  The difficulty is also known.  Cost of electricity is relatively constant.

Anyway, I just don't see how fundamental analysis can be employed in crypto.  Technical analysis seems like the only viable way to predict where a given crypto is going, and I don't even believe in that--I think it's a bunch of chart-reading nonsense.  Momentum is real, bull markets are definitely real, but all of that head-and-shoulders, teacup TA stuff is just unscientific gibberish to me.

Hi, I would like to tell u my thoughts about fundamental analysis.

In cryptocurrencies, it is more important than technical. The chart can turn around in an hour and the price will go, for example, upwards, and this can be predicted thanks to a fundamental analysis.

It must be used for analysis of the market, and it can not be avoided without it.

To begin with, the fundamental analysis, is called so not with a simple. As you may have guessed, the name of this analysis is based on the word "foundation", that is, it implies an analysis of something basic, paramount.

At its core, a fundamental analysis is an assessment of the market in terms of news around the coin or in general around the crypto currency. That is, using a fundamental analysis, you analyze news and events occurring in the world of crypto-currencies.

At the moment, news and events in the world primarily drive the market.

But this does not cancel the technical analysis and both analyzes have the right to life, the main thing is to apply them correctly.

Using fundamental analysis, you should constantly be aware of all events, new technologies and news and draw conclusions on the future of the market on the basis of this information.

Investing in longevity.

Fundamental analysis is important for long-term investment, because it is necessary to assess the potential of a particular coin based on its technology, team, results, positive news around the community as a whole.

Examples of events for making decisions on fundamental analysis:

Legalization of crypto currency in any country, or vice versa ban (as was recently in China), release of a mobile wallet, release of an update, holding an ICO on this coin, adding to a new stock exchange, or vice versa removing and much more. On the fundamental news, you just need to rely on making a decision to enter or exit the market, but I also want to note that not always the news is worked out as we would like! Sometimes they do not work out at all, so be prepared for anything.

So, what are u thinking about fundamental analysis?

For me, Fundamental Analysis is knowing all about the project inside of it and try to know every details.

Technical analysis works miracles for the Day traders and short term traders combined with sentimental analysis of buy wall and sell wall gives an idea to the trader weather its a sell time or  buy time.
Never the less always keep in mind that Fundamental , Technical and Sentimental analysis are like food, water and oxygen for the human body, if you miss on any of these then you might suffer a loss. Wink

During my time of forex and stocks trading I really used fundamental analysis to make an informed decision over trade and of a truth news and comments from financial experts and leaders do affect the market. For day traders fundamentals analysis is good for short term as the market most time do surge within short time and long term is good for buying and holding.

Fundamental Analysis is an analysis technique that takes into account various factors, such as company performance, business competition analysis, industry analysis, economic analysis and macro-micro market.
Fundamental analysis is not limited to stocks, can also be used for forex, gold.
Technical study is one of the skills that help investors choose the timing of investment in economic investment. But for the Crypto market, this technique does not bring too many benefits. There is a tendency to add drugs to the world situation for Crypto and the crazy ideas of whales.
