Thanks for the info, exactly what I'm looking for! I did send bithope a message to start their application process.

We are currently raising funds for the festival. If the festival turns out to be a success, I will go ahead and purchase the land and we will start building. At that point we will do more crowdfunding for building materials and such. The success of the festival will be defined as:

Will it be popular among people in Kibera?
Will we be able to attract international visitors?
Can we work together as a team to organize the festival?
Will partnering organisations and artists be willing to collaborate with us to create awesome events, workshops and concerts?
Will local and global visitors to the festival think it's an awesome experience?
Will we be able to document it all (videos, photos, recordings from spontaneous jam sessions) and spread the message that Kibera is an awesome place?

We really believe the answer to all those questions to be "YEEES!!! POA SANA!!!". However, we have learnt that it is good in all kinds of businesses to validate every such hypothesis and feeling and really be in touch with reality. So that's what we are doing with the festival.

I do not know about their campaign rules, but you can try adding this campaign and if they accept it, adding videos of festival or similar events that showcases why the fund is being raised might help it.

There are some active campaigns on Bithope and this forum itself has got a donation of more than 145 BTC, https://bithope.org/campaign/support-the-bitcointalk-forum. So give it a try. I do not think Ethereum platform would be suitable for this project.

Ethereum is ready now, it just requires a bit of technical know how to get it going. The Ethereum website does a great job offering step by step instructions.

Also, my qualifying talk is part habit and part history of being railed on here when I've missed quoted some fact by the slightest of variation.

There's probably videos on how to set up crowd funding on Ethereum too. The only other way is to put your Bitcoin address in the blog site you're doing your crowdfunding from.

Whatever you choose, don't forget to publish your crowdfunding site on this forum and others...this community is mostly a generous one.

Yep the potential is huge! But for now... I see the phrases "potentially" and "as it becomes" in your reply... Is there anything that is ready to use now? My fund raiser is now and for the next two months.
