unknown maybe solo miners?
its probably Ltcoin.net. when a pool drops for some reason they appear as unknown.

If anyone has been watching the hash distribution for LTC. You surely have seen the "unkown" spikes in hash rate. I wonder with coinotron down atm if they may actually cause problems. Currently Unkown has 32.9% total network hashrate.

don't think so to have a 51% attack would require that they OWN 51% OF ALL KNOWN LITECOIN COINS so as it has been pointed out it would be very hard and costly... having said that i would the cash needed to do it
You need full moon too, so that would take a few weeks.
