Bitcoin Core is an implementation of bitcoin. Initially, the software was published by Satoshi Nakamoto under the name "Bitcoin", and later renamed to "Bitcoin Core" to distinguish it from the network. For this reason, it is also known as the Satoshi client., Bitcoin Core repositories are maintained by a team of maintainers, with Wladimir J. van der Laan leading the release process.

In my opinion ,Bitcoin Core is a free and open-source software that can works as a bitcoin node.Bitcoin node is a type of set that forms a bitcoin network. In addition, Bitcoin Core also provides a bitcoin wallet that fully validates the payment. It is also considered a reference to Bitcoin and is the implementation which is most widely used by large margins.

Bitcoin Core is a reference client of bitcoin. Initially, the software was published by Satoshi Nakamoto under the name Bitcoin, then Bitcoin-Qt and later renamed to Bitcoin Core. It is also known as the Satoshi client. It is a full client used by bitcoin nodes that create the bitcoin network.

satoshi's client was called satoshi-QT.. even core call it that now https://bitnodes.earn.com/nodes/
bitcoin core is the buzzword brandname of the team that came about in 2013. 2-3 years after satoshi left the community.
(its like people say something is using apple software, but underneath the codebase is called IOS ver x.x)

the history:
satoshi's own client 2009-2010, before he left was only stored and upgraded code via sourceforge not the github

it was gavins client of 2010 which is the github that everyone followed and now follows. satoshi never touched the github

gavin was pushed aside as project manager in 2013. but he already mentioned many time he was only going to give it X years before moving aside. so it was a planned retirement from the github anyway.

then the team moderating, deciding the rules branded their team bitcoin core from 2013

Bitcoin transactions are stored and delivered in a secure, open and anonymous P2P network. Blockchain is the platform technology that maintains the bitcoin trading ledger. Bitcoin is generated by labor through the blockchain construction process. Bitcoin provides an efficient means of transferring money over the internet and is controlled by a decentralized network with a transparent set of rules.

first of all and most importantly.

if you are in the mindset of thinking the only way to earn is from bounties on this forum. you need to realise bitcoin is a world currency that has many depths to it and many ways of earning that dont involve bounties.
too many new people think the scope of bitcoin is just this forum.

secondly. bitcoin core is the reference(main/core) software that controls what rules the network follows. yea you might have been told no one controls bitcoin but since 2013 a certain group of devs do make the decisions and others just follow.

there are other software around, mostly simple light/basic versions that dont hold or validate all the data.

there are a couple other bits of software that validate and hold the data. but they just follow the rules that bitcoin core set. it has become common that if any other software that does validate and does hold all of the data. if they were to set up their own community proposal list and attempt to help the community have a second option of innovating the network that is not "bitcoin core" ends up getting treated as an attack /invader.

so in short bitcoin core is the "core" / centre of the development of the network and the control of innovation of the protocol.

bitcoin cores software is known as a full node (fully featured software)
a wallet(holds the keys to make transactions)
the payment system (makes transactions)
the block validator (validates mining pools blocks)
the relay node (relays transactions and blocks)

by using the software you(your computer) validates relays and stores the data. which other people using it also do. so that the data and validation part of the system is distributed amungst all users of the software as there is no central service that does the validation/store of the data.

but you do not earn from it.

yes, that's right and you can get it from the web, and I think that will pay us for a lot of profits, and that becomes a lot of people's expectations.

lol, this is the bitcoin forum, as you can see the name is bitcoin talk, a place where people come to talk about bitcoin, and you are really asking what's bitcoin core? lol, is like enter to KFC and ask what's a chicken.

But i will give an answer with friendly words, Bitcoin core is the program behind bitcoin, if you download it and install it then you will be able to send and receive bitcoins on your computer and at the same time you will support the network by running a full node.

Yes thanks for the reply but I am already using local  exchange online wallet.now I viewed the bitcoin core it was having more GB so whats the use of this

It's to run a full node and help the network. If you don't want to do that, just use a wallet like Electrum. It's not suggested to keep your coins in an exchange by the way, If the site gets hacked or decide to close your accounts, your money is lost forever.

Good reminder there Omega. There indeed lies a potential threat should one decide to keep their bitcoin or other crypto assets in an exchange. The fact that no one had successfully hacked the bitcoin system, a lot had already succeeded in exploiting the security lapses of an exchange. The records had shown that exchanges getting hacked are more than personal attacks on our wallets.

Hoping many take your stern warning seriously, it is for the good of everyone.

Bitcoin Core is programmed to decide which block chain contains valid transactions. The users of Bitcoin Core only accept transactions for that block chain, making it the Bitcoin block chain that everyone else wants to use.

You should learn a bit before asking questions, really so!
It's to run a full node and help the network and see if the official version is developed!

It's a full node wallet. Basically if you're running it you're helping the bitcoin network to be more decentralized. And no, you get no incentives in running a full node.

A decent article that could answer your question(s): https://bitcoinist.com/6-reasons-run-bitcoin-full-node/
