What is the possible maximum amount BTC could reach in the future?
Some predict 10,000$ in 36 months, but is this the 'final' ceiling?
What could be the maximum targeted price?

Bitcoin is unstable and unpredictable, the price may increase over a million or decrease a thousand. And if ever it pump up and increase its value, then a lot of people might pursue it. In the market, price increase or decrease due to its exclusivity or scarcity.

Hahaha, yeah, thats how it must be represented. Though that Lamborghini is a little off. Bitcoin price might increase more the next years, but I dont think that it will be reaching a price that you can buy a car out of it. It may be, but not these years.

That's probably the best way of telling the future value of bitcoin. It seems pretty much impossible, but well, lets hope for the best, hope for the Lamborghini for a single bitcoin. Wink

I don't know about the in 36 months part but the $10,000 price is one of the oldest predictions and although I don't like it from time to time but it can actually happen.

if you think about the basic supply and demand of bitcoin.
there are 7.4 billion people on earth as of 2016
and there is only 21 million bitcoins.

even if a very small portion of that population starts investing in bitcoin, we can see $10,000 and even more pretty easily. but this process will take time. that is why I am a bit unsure about the 36 months part.

Nope the oldest predictions are 100k and 1 million.  Smiley

I am hoping for a 35.000 dollars for a bitcoin within 2025. I am keeping the coins until then. Rich status can be reached by then if I hold more than 10 coins. This is like  a double edged sword and I may end up receiving nothing if the bitcoin value falls to near 0.

That's a super optimistic bet. A more realistic prediction IMO would be like $2 to 3k after the next halving.

i am not sure about the maximum amount btc in future but it could be happen if there is any increase of people which using bitcoin although in the reality, there will be any fluctuation in the price. i think $10,000 in 36 months is not the final ceiling and i think we need more time. no one will know the maximum targeted price as the price is from the people wants in the market, but if more people wants to use bitcoin then there is a chance for bitcoin can increase in up to $2,000 in short time.

I don't think  its price may reach at 10,000$ in 36 month , Because Herr you probably never tried to see at the history of the price of the bitcoin .
There was Earliar a time in the past when the price of bitcoin reached about 1200$ but after some days it goes suddenly down to about 400$ and after this it comes at above of 1100$/btc and the time taken by the bitcoin come at such a peack  about 2 years .So here chances of going down again is possible according to the history .
Well here all the prediction are worst , We should only think that it will rise slowly with positive addition of the doller .

from what it look 10k is surely possible in the future and not the highest that we might get, 10k-100k range probably is near the highest value you can ever get for bitcoin realistically speaking...
Yes, there will not be any upper ceiling for bitcoin prices as demand is the only major factor for deciding bitcoin prices which cannot be defined for a price tag. Only on mid term I am seeing 100k as a target (like 5 to 10 years). Beyond 10 years, it may fly in millions for sure.

In next one or two years, we can expect bitcoin to reach $2000 to $5k levels.

Final in 36 months? or in bitcoin history?

In 36 months according to reports I read from analycists on Twitter.

those whom you call "analycists" on twitter are mostly hyping or FUDing bitcoin, majority of them aren't really doing valid analysis. but i would love to see some examples, it is always good to see some analysis around here.

in any case i still think we can't see rises more than 100% per year and it can get harder as price goes higher too. so in 36 months a price about 5000-6000 USD is a more logical number to me than a 10,000 USD price.
although these things depend on lots of things when it comes to a long term change.

I expect the ceiling - if really everything goes well and Bitcoin keeps leading the cryptocurrency market - to be about ~20-30K USD per Bitcoin. Maybe a bit less, or more. I don't think Bitcoin will replace all monetary transactions, but it can be a lot more popular than now. When? I estimate this price between 2025 and 2030.

The above estimation is for the case Bitcoin capturates a good portion of the private remittances, mid-scale online payments (20-1000 USD buys) and international small-scale B2B transfers market. These are in my opinion the most interesting use cases for BTC and could lead to a market cap of ~$500 billion USD.

But if the community engages in year-long kindergarten wars then the long-term trend will be bearish (and I doubt it goes higher then 2000 or 3000) as a better organized/governed cryptocoin community can then take the lead.

If I see a static circulation bitcoin in market, BTC will reach a price you say ($ 10 k) on the year after the end of mining (2022).

mining ends in 2140. for the last 100-110 years the flow of bitcoin slows to a trickle but the block reward is still there.

If I see a static circulation bitcoin in market, BTC will reach a price you say ($ 10 k) on the year after the end of mining (2022). Because in the past or the year I think a lot of people who know bitcoin and use it for profit or for transactions that are very profitable. But it's all correct predictions is not a, since they also depend on the users of the bitcoin nowadays. If they want to promote the bitcoin then everything could be materialized and vice versa

$10,000 is still nothing compared to a lot of markets and bitcoin's potential applications are limitless. every single person in the world could find some use for it. you can't do very much with an apple stock.

on the flip side it could be completely worthless in a few months. that's the bet we're all making.

^^^This.

There technically and theoretically is no upper ceiling. That's the (almost scary) thing.

This market can take a sizeable chunk out of almost any other market on earth.

Especially all asset classes.
Fiat currencies.
Illegal trade.
Financial Services..
Remittances..

and so on...

I can't think of a place where you say, right. That's it, bitcoin can't grow anymore, it has nowhere left to disrupt. This level of market saturation is final.

I seriously can't think of where that stop point would be or could be. Like i said above, its almost scary when you really think about it!

Nothing is final price, when it comes to BTC. It can go beyond the imagination. And remember, one day their will be no fiat to campare the value of bitcoins, but bitcoin will make the fiat disappear and rule the currency of the world.

$10,000 is nothing, so we are going to see 6 figures in the future. $10,000 is guaranteed in about 2020, as the coin release gets shrinking, the curve will become almost flat, that will guarantee rich status for those holding 21 BTC.

Depends how much the people will be willing to pay for Bitcoin, how big the demand will be and conditions on the market. 10.000,00 $ price is also possible, why not, future can bring anything but still 36 months seems unrealistic to me.
Generaly speaking the price limit doesn't actualy exist.

$10,000 in 36 months looks like a huge spike to me. I suspect that we could rise up to $3000, before corrections kick in.
I hope I am proven wrong and we bound past $10,000. After all, I plan to hold till the next halving.  Smiley

Could take more than one spike, 36 months is a long time.

How we can expect people will stop adopting bitcoins after some period of time or price levels. (As per my speculations, I am expecting $10k levels within 24 months itself).

The demand is infinitely viable to increase. I am not finding any stable prices for bitcoin for at least next 200 years as mining will last for next ~140 years and demand will be depending on world population so it may go beyond 200 years also.

On rough estimations, we can expect bitcoin prices in millions in next 5 to 10 years.

it is very hard to say.
we have to see how the adoption advances in the future years so we can say what the price will be. if it is slow and stops at some point then price will stop there too.
after all not all people are going to use bitcoin. there will always going to be a cap.
but we are far from it.

$10,000 is possible, 36 months is not.
and as i said we can't tell what the ceiling is. and there are so many articles each saying a different price.

It's a little known tidbit of fallacy that every $2016 dollars there is a difficulty reset which causes weak hands to sell off and then every $210,000 there is an investor halving that causes half of all investors to get out of Bitcoin altogether and retire.  After that, the maximum price is directly related to investor interest.
