It means you're working on a broken cgminer or pool or altcoin which is overflowing or has a byte ordering issue and is showing you nonsense.

My cgminer give diff 18.4E is that higher or lower than 35G?
EDIT: Think figured out E is an exa 10^18 = 1000000000000000000 way bigger than G
why would cgminer say this solo mining and well that mean cgminer wouldnt submit a 35g block if found, how can i change it.
