So i've seen a lot of sites (faucets ? ) recently and i'm wandering how can you describe one ? What I've been able to realize is that it give you some very small amount of BTC in order for you to come back and they generate revenue on ads ?

yeah that is how the faucets works , they are giving us a few satoshi in exchange of our visit on their website it seems like they are sharing their revenue from ads to the faucet collectors but there are only faucets that are giving a decent reward .

You are hero member and you want to know what faucet is? Its very strange you ask this, because you already know what faucet is:

I think bL4nkcode is right, it might be a bought account. Well, there's a big possibility. I checked the Trust summary and I saw this: This user's email address was changed recently. In regards to posts, also seen on the profile, it seems that different BTC address was used before and recently.

A few weeks ago a newbie posted in this section and asked how much his hero account worth, the interesting part is that he said his account was enrolled in Bitmixer signature campaign, too many coincidences don't you think?
Unfortunately, that thread is deleted now and I can't use it as a reference.

Lol, you with this 515 account activity, don't know what is faucet?

There are a some of them. In the past we had more. They take the income from ads networks and pay to users access their sites generating traffic for the faucet owners. But now without adsense, it's really hard to make profit with them. The payrates are low and many people don't want to use those faucets anymore. Check Micro Earnings section for more details and hints about good faucets.

What is for you "good faucets"?
it is hard to understand what good faucets are...
I'm even wondering if it is good for a webmaster to high reward...
I'm running one  with 1 or 2 or 3 satoshi reward and i gave to most active members 5000 satoshi...
Since a good while I let big messages that the faucet has merged and I only give few 5000 satoshi reward...
The activity on this forum is almost the same...and people claim only once like bots...just for the 1 or 2 or 3 satoshi.
I'm sure many claimers do not know what they do...and for how much...
Check faucetbox accounts...it's uncredible for how little people claim...

Good faucet is a faucet that offer decent rewards. I don't understand your system...

You are offering 1, 2 or 3 satoshis reward? It's too low... 5000 satoshis is a good reward, but if you are giving it for only very few people, I think this faucet doesn't worth. If you want to increase your traffic and make success, you should change your strategy, webmaster. What do you think?

In thread "do you still really use faucets":

No at all
Faucets are cool for beginner who want to use the wallet and move bitcoins,to learn the know-how
But the moment you already know that you realise that it is a waste of time to use faucets

Now you can lock this thread because you know what faucet is.

I will not think twice if this user is a bought account. Roll Eyes

Well yeah, faucets are prettyy like that, they are risking their own money, for making a website which is faucet site, their bitcoin as what they will give for free to those people who loves faucets with time limit and in exchange they will earn and  depend on the ads they applied for their site.

Is the bitcoin faucet's definition? You get $0.001, and you paid $0.01 for clicking the ads, and this so simple in my mind you paying more but you get a little.  Cheesy although will not decrease some amount in your pouch or wallet right?t right?

Strange question for a hero member, anyway your description is correct only a few faucets are surviving for a long time most of them are closing after a while and the main reasons are the low paying advertising networks (especially since Adsense banned all of them) and the bot attacks.
You will not earn much a user unless you have a ton of referrals but they can help newbies to collect their first BTC.

I don't even consider hosting this kind of site xd Only ones i see profiting from this are actual developers who create script/site then sell it to users that are willing to host it.

Perhaps behind the faucet is a webmaster giving you satoshi from it's poket?
Just for the fun?

yeah must be that one. Since there are a lot of these websites there must be a lot of generous people in this world Smiley

Most of faucet owner start so...and then give up...
I do not know if they are a lot who do it by generosity...I do it for the fun...
My members are very courageous and for this merit a reward...(lol)
